Platinum Batch Will Host Alumni Meet At AAFT

The 75th platinum batch of students of AAFT Asian Academy Of Film And Television has decided to host the great gala affair of Alumni Meet at the campus of Marwah Studios informed Sandeep Marwah who has been the Director of this film and TV school from the last 20 years probably the longest designation holder in the world for a film school. AAFT has been in existence now for 20 years and has churned out 8000 media professionals from 89 countries of the World in different disciplines. “it was 22nd July 1993 when we started the first batch of this premier film school and trust me no looking back” said Sandeep Marwah. “We invite all the students to the campus of AAFT on Saturday, 9th june 2012 to come and give a kick start to the new ideas” said now Dean AAFT. “We are looking forward to a large gathering and an enthusiastic participation by the former students of AAFT” added Viney Kumar Registrar of AAFT.

Asian School Of Media Studies Hand In Hand With IPBF

Asian School Of Media Studies is now hand in hand with International Public Broadcasting Forum for producing unlimited programs for Radio Broadcast and Television telecast after the decision taken by the two committees of the organization.
“International Public Broadcasting Forum is going to provide extra ordinary facilities to gain all time experience in the field of broadcasting and telecasting to the students of Asian School Of Media Studies” said Sandeep Marwah President of IPBF.
“A set of productions like News, Interviews, ENGs, Advertisements, Music Videos, Multi Camera Setups, Documentaries, Fictions etc. have been included in large scale to uplift the knowledge of students of ASMS” informed R.K.Singh former Engineer- in- Chief Doordarshan and now Addl. Director ASMS.
‘I am thoroughly impressed by the final decisions of the meetings” added Shahid Mehdi former Vice Chancellor Jamia , Vice President ICCR and founder member of the IPBF board.

IFTRC Supports Asian School Of Media Studies

The first private film and TV research centre of the country IFTRC International Film And Television Research Centre is now going to support the first film college ASMS Asian School Of Media Studies of the country in a big way as per the arrangements made between the two media setups.
“We want media students to take the best advantages and experiences of 100 years of cinema” said Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of IFTRC. The Research Centre will take students of ASMS not only for research programs but will be partner in workshops, seminars, symposiums, interactions, and other important programs.
The students will also get an opportunity to be part of documentation centre of IFTRC where number of papers and books are published which will be available to the students of ASMS.

74th AAFT Festival Of Short Digital Films Inaugurated

Asian Academy Of Film And Television in association with International Film And Television Club organized 74th edition of AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films. In total 11 films were shown and six best films were projected publicly in a grand function inaugurated by Stuti Kerkar IAS Resident Commissioner, Government of Uttar Pradesh, This festival has already created an international record of reaching 74th edition. The festival has shown around 1800 films of first time directors, technicians and artist from 90 countries of the World in last 19 years informed Sandeep Marwah President of the Festival.
The cast and crew of these selected films get another opportunity to produce and direct new project for Marwah Studios said the Festival Director. “Film Festivals are the best way to showcase the creation of a film maker” said Shanker Mohan Director of IFFI International Film Festival Of India. Ehsaas By Hemant Kumar, Just An Old Friend by Mumtaz Jahan, The search For Paradise by Shrey Srivastava, Partishod by Rahul Choudhary, Music Video by Shrey Srivastava, and Kadwa Sacch by Dhirendra Singh were the selected and popular entries of this festival.

Renowned Dress designer Viraja Bajaj, Dr.Gopal Ji of GYA Global Yog Alliance, Abhey Singh Sandhu nephew of Late Bhagat Singh, Acharya Styander of World Religious Parliament were other speakers of the day.

IFTC-International Film And Television Club which has started five festivals in the country including Global Film Festival Noida, International Festival Of Cellphone Cinema, WECare Film Festival on Disability, AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films and Short Film Festival of ASMS now wants the film, TV and Media students of ASMS to be part of this organization for all practical purposes.

PHD Celebrated World Telecommunication And Information Day

A heavy weight seminar on the occasion of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, The 17th May, was organized at PHD Chamber of Commerce to highlight the issues suggested by the United Nation under Entertainment and Media Committee in association with Marwah Studios.
“This year on W T I Society day we are determined to harness the full potential of ICTs for the benefit of women and girls by eliminating gender disparities and empowering them to meet their goals and aspirations’ informed Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of Entertainment and Media Committee of PHD.
The seminar was inaugurated by powerful remarks by Sadhna Dixit Advisor to Dept of Telecommunication, Ministry of Communication and IT, Government of India, Stuti Kacker IAS Resident Commissioner Uttar Pradesh, Vimal Waklu Managing Director Telecommunication Consultants India Ltd Government of India Enterprise and Suman Jyoti Khaitan Senior Vice President of PHD.
A message by the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon was read by R.K.Singh Addl Director Asian School Of Media Studies followed by panel discussion where every one spoke their mind and extended suggestions.
The second part of the seminar had dynamic speakers like Rita Soni CEO NASSCOM Foundation, N.K.Goyal President (CMAI) Communication Multimedia and Infrastructure Association of India, Anushree Sinha Senior fellow (NCAER) National Council of Applied Economic Research, Dr. Hariom Srivastava President (WDF) World Development Foundation who all expressed their views.

Senior crime reporter visited Asian School of Media Studies

A senior reporter from AAJ TAK TV news channel, Shams Tahir Khan visited Asian School of Media Studies and shared his valuable experience with students in a workshop organized by the Department of Electronic Media.
While sharing his experience with ASMS students Shams Tahir Khan emphasized on sensible reporting which should be cross checked by the proven facts and then only a report should be broadcasted. Moreover he said a reporter should be sensitive enough to handle the crime news, specially related to murder and rape cases.
Crime reporting has been a very attractive beat for young reporters whosoever are entering into the profession of journalism but at the same time they should be conscious of its effects. A reporter should not be carried away with the subject.
Students were thrilled and spellbound. They asked tons of questions related to crime reporting. The veteran crime reporter replied to every query and assured the students a beginors help. The workshop was conducted by Sushil Bharti HOD Electronic Media Department.
