Convocation of 82nd Batch of AAFT Held at Marwah Studios

“We have achieved what we had planned few years back. AAFT is giving 360 degree education in media . Every student gets an opportunity to be part of the industry while learning at film school” said Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Academy of Film And Television on the convocation of students of 82nd batch.
“AAFT has created a wonderful niche for itself, the whole media world has a word of appreciation for the school” said Charu Verma an educationist from United Kingdom. “We have experienced the quality of education in last one year, we have no words to express ourselves” added Goodluck a film maker from Nigeria.

“Fine arts are no away from the media education, the belief of AAFT has made film & TV courses different from rest of the schools” expressed Dr. Jyoti Srivastava an Odissi Dance exponent. “Never seen such a high profiled education at such a low price” said Godspower the coordinator of Government of Nigeria.

More than 60 students from the discipline of Production/direction and TV journalism, editing and sound recording, camera and lighting techniques, acting and presentation, sound recording and radio productions, graphics and animation, still photography and journalism passed out of this batch.

The weeklies Mahatma Gandhi edited were probably the best. He published no advertisement; at the same time he did not want his newspapers to run at a loss. He had gained considerable experience in South Africa, where he had taken over in1904 the editorship of the ‘Indian Opinion’ and published it in English, Tamil and Gujarati, sometimes running the press himself. Gandhi’s newspapers ‘Young India’ and ‘Harijan’ became powerful vehicles of his views on all subjects.

Sandeep Marwah Welcomed Chancellor of University of Illinois

“ We are ready to offer student, faculty exchange program along with articulation and affiliation with University of Illinois especially in the field of film, television, media and fashion courses” said Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Education Group welcoming Phyllis M Wise the Chancellor of University of Illinois at the panel discussion on “potential for increasing Indian Women’s enrollment at American Centre at New Delhi organized by Indo American Chamber of Commerce.
“We are looking for more students from India to study in USA especially Women reducing the causes of non-enrollment” said Renuka Raja Rao Country Coordinator USIEF explaining the statistic available for the last fifty years.

“We are attracting students from 100 countries of the World, University of Illinois has 42000 students on its roll and alumni bank of almost million students. We have around 1000 students from India in different courses” said Phyllis M Wise answering to the questions.

Julia Stanley Minister Counselor Embassy of USA was the another speaker. The meeting was attended by George N Sibley Deputy Head of Embassy of USA, Dr. Lalit Bhasin President IACC, Le Alison Sibley, Dr. Sanak Mishra, Surender Arora, Gaurav Dwivedi and others.

International Day for Mine Awareness at Marwah Studios

“The first tree was handed over to the organization by our own former President of India Honor able A. P. J. Abdul Kalam with the idea that the chain should not break and tree plantation should become the habit of Indians” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios on the national meet of Plantation Ceremony at AAFT, Noida Film City.

“We have found the right office and the correct person in Sandeep Marwah to highlight this movement where we have already committed for plantation of one million trees in the country” added Deepak Gaur director of ‘Gift A Tree Network’ organization.

“I can assure you if there are no trees there is going to be no life on the planet. Trees are the real suppliers of oxygen to us. Treat them like human beings you will feel more human” said Dr. K.D. Gupta Chairperson Assocham committee of Environment.
Dr. Ridhwana Sanam Chairperson of KRV Health Care, J.S.Saluja Vice President Association of Asian Union, Vaibhav Dayal of V Resorts and Savita Kainth expressed their case studies related to Go Green and Gift A Tree.

Later a plantation ceremony was conducted by all the guests and Sandeep Marwah assured to convert both the campuses of Marwah Studios to go green in no time.” We have to adopt tree plantation as our religion and part of our customs and traditions” Marwah added.

Indo American Film Productions Will Grow With Time

Indo American Chamber of commerce can be a platform to promote and develop new links between Indian and American film companies to go for joint production of cinema” said Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of Media and Entertainment committee of IACC at the panel discussion on-“Business Proposal for Indo American Film Production” at New Delhi.
Talking to the large audience Pranay K Verma a well known film producer and film financer emphasi zed on the original ideas of the script which has international market and added that Indo American Film Productions Will Grow with Time.

Rajesh Bajaj the writer & director of feature film ‘Hari Puttar ‘and writer of National award winning film ‘Chiller Party’ emphasized on the change of attitude and aptitude of film makers of India toward cinema.

The panelist Amit Agarwal narrated his case study of the joint venture. Suman Bajaj Kalra another film maker explained the style of production in two countries. The program was followed by a question answer session.

Later Atul Vyas the secretary General of Indo American Chamber of Commerce presented memento to the speakers. The event was sponsored by ACK Enterprises was also represented by Rak Kumari.

A close meeting of founder members of Delhi chapter of Shanti giri Ashram took place at Marwah Studios to discuss the spiritual activities of the ashram. Swami Padma prakasha Jhana Thapaswi in charge administration, A.V.Nair President Delhi Chapter, Dr Kiran Zonal Manager of the Ashram were also present there.
Shantigiri Ashram functions on three fundamental principles viz. Annadanam (alms), Athurasevanam (helping the needy) and Athmabodhanam (self-realization). It has in place a healthcare approach based on the time-tested Indian systems of healthcare like Ayurveda, Sidha and Panchakarma.

Dilip Padgaonkar on the Board of International Journalism Centre

Pune:Internationally renowned journalist Dilip Padgaonkar agreed to be on the board of IJC -International Journalism Centre to share his huge experience in the field of journalism. “we have requested Dilip to be with us at Delhi and also talk to the media students at the academy” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios.
Sandeep Marwah also the President of International Journalism Centre called upon Dilip Padgaonkar during his visit to Pune to invite him to be part of advisory council of International Journalism Centre.
Dilip Padgaonkar began his distinguished career in journalism at the age of 24. After receiving a doctorate in humanities from the Sorbonne in June 1968, he joined the Times of India as its Paris correspondent. He served the paper in various capacities before he was appointed its editor in 1988, a post he held for six years. In between, from 1978 to 1986, he also worked with UNESCO in Bangkok and Paris.
