Sandeep Marwah Invited by 2STV of Senegal

Dakar: “It is a our proud moment for the station to cover today live interview of Sandeep Marwah who has done a lot for the World Media. His presence has added to the reputation of our channel” said El Hadji Ibrahima Ndiaye Chairman of 2STV Channel in Dakar.

“ I am honored to be on the 2STV Channel live for a Hindi program which is actually the most popular segment of Senegal audience here” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

A one hour live program was conducted at the 2STV-the first private TV channel of Senegal on the state visit of Sandeep Marwah to highlight Indo Senegal Film and Cultural Association which has been formed by the Ministry of Culture, Government of Senegal and Asian Society of Film And Television of Marwah Studios of India.

Marwah Revealed Institutional Bond With Senegal During Master Class

“I am impressed by the facilities shown here in multimedia institute Sup’Info international Academy of Dakar, we are ready to join hands with them for articulation” declared Sandeep Marwah during his Master Class at the institute.

Sandeep Marwah is the President of Asian Education Group comprising of some of the best film, television and media training of the World. So far he has churned out 12000 media professionals from 94 countries of the World. He has five World Records in media to his credit.

The institute is excited and enthusiastic in joining hands with one of the best media schools of the World” said Didier Diop Administrator General of Sup’Imax college.

The delegation had Reena Marwah renowned fashion designer, Abhinav Bajpai multi media expert, O.P.Meena from Embassy of India, Hugues Diaz from Ministry of Culture, Modibo Diawara filmmaker from Dakar and radio & tv artist Mamodou Kane.

Cinema Theatres Are Place of Worship For Film Makers-Sandeep Marwah

“The net results of your hard work, your caliber, your long relations with cinema can only be seen in cinema theatres in any country irrespective of size of the industry” explained Sandeep Marwah during meeting with film makers, distributors and cinema owners of Dakar at Senegal.

“India’s strength is that it has 12000 theatres and ten million people watch cinema every day. We sell 5 billion tickets every year which is more than USA which is 3 billion per year” added Marwah who is also on the board of FFI-Film Federation of India.

Cinemas are to be renovated and to be provided with best of ambience and facilities to attract more audience to theatres suggested Marwah to the Minister of Culture Abdoul Aziz MBAYE when they both visited the local theatres for inspection during state visit of Sandeep Marwah at Dakar.

Sandeep Marwah was accompanied by filmmaker Oumar Sall & Modibo Diawara, Maguette DIOP Secretary General of Cine Seas, Dr. Hadja Mai NIANG, Maimouna Diop of May Art, Prof. Fallou GUEYE advisor to Prime Minister Senegal, Hugues DIAZ Director of Cinematography Ministry of Culture, O.P.Meena from Embassy of India and many other people from film and television fraternity.

Sandeep Marwah Invited by RTS National TV Station

“Learning is the best way to upgrade your systems and operations in media, I believe in that and we keep on amending, altering, adding, subtracting our courses to suit to international market” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Asian Academy of Film And Television on his visit to RTS National Television Network of Senegal at Dakar.

“We are looking for a tie up with such an institution where special courses can be planned for the staff of television station” added Amadou Tidiane BARRY the director of the RTS station.

AAFT-has agreed to plan extraordinary courses for the benefit of technical and creative staff of RTS National Network in shortest period of time confirmed Marwah.

The visit was accompanied by Abhinav Bajpai, O.P.Meena, Hugues DIAZ, Prof. Fallou GUEYE, Modibo Diawara. El Hadji Malick DIOP Chief of Production Department was also present there. Later Sandeep Marwah also met the Director General of RTS Television. A short TV program was also recorded to mark respect to the state visit of Sandeep Marwah.


Describing cinema as the art of presenting motion pictures, Quentin states Polet of IBM Singapore said that a revolution is indeed taking place in the art and science of image making for visual entertainment. He was addressing the students of Asian Academy of Film & TV. The current environment of technical evolution is leading to an increase in the demand of visual production and to making available new tools to the filmmakers to realize their dreams, he added. Welcoming the visiting expert Prof. Sandeep Marwah stated that making digital cinema products is much cheaper and video based digital cinema systems have radically changed the way movies are made, distributed and enjoyed. Answering a question Quentin States-Polet said that digital cinema is not limited to digitally produced motion pictures using computers alone. He was in India on the invitation of University of media Arts.


Asian Academy of Film & Television, publisher of the monthly magazine – Star Yatra and Admark Agencies had jointly organised an interesting event to make the young boys and girls aware of the importance of physical exercises, balanced diet and logical daily routine for a healthy body and sound mind. Students of the first year class of the colleges located in the national capital region were eligible to participate in this event which was held at the Pragati Maidan’sHansdhwani Theatre. A team of social and media personalities headed by Prof. Sandeep Marwah adjudged about thirty out of over two thousand contestants under various categories as worthy of commendation. The winners of Mr. and Miss Fresher-2001 event were later handed over certificates in a glittering ceremony held at Marwah Studios. Hindustan Lever and Nestle groups also gifted some of their popular products to the award winners. Speaking on this occasion the senior journalist Aziz Burney described physical charm and healthy body as a gift from God. However, he added that their maintenance requires due attention and care. Concluding the function Prof. Sandeep Marwah congratulated the award winners and hoped that the next events in this series would be organised within the next one year

India Can Guide Senegal in Film Business And Promotion

Dakar: “To have a stronger base for the development of film business in Senegal, it needs a professional and a world class film school with 360 degree exposure to the students in this field” suggested Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios in his first meeting with the Minister of Culture, Democratic Republic of Senegal here at Dakar.
Sandeep Marwah a well known international media personality has been invited by the Government of Senegal as state guest from India to look into the needs of development and promotion of cinema and other media activities in the country.

The high profiled meeting took place in the Ministry of Culture with the Minister of Culture Abdoul Aziz MBAYE. The Ambassador of India to Senegal H.E. Partha Satpathy was the special invitee. Hugues DIAZ Director of Cinematography, Ministry of culture and filmmaker Modibo Diawara were also present there.

AAFT Can Be Helpful to Senegal Broadcasting Channels

“A refreshing short term course for the existing employees of the broadcasting companies of Senegal will bring better color to the programming on television” said Sandeep Marwah the President of Asian Education Group, India during his discussion with the Ministry of Communication during his state visit to Dakar.
A special refreshing courses can be planned by AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television a world renowned film and television school of India which has created five world records in media training and has trained more than 12000 media persons from 94 countries of the world.

The Indian delegation was received by Mamadou DRAME the Director of the Cabinet, Ministry of Communication, Government of Senegal. Hugues DIAZ Director of Cinematography, Ministry of Culture, Mme Marieme Thiam NDOUR Telecommunication Engineer, filmmaker Modibo Diawara and Abhinav Bajpai were also present in the meeting.

Indo Senegal Film And Cultural Forum Reframed at Dakar

A new enthusiasm has been inducted to the development and promotion of art and culture of both the countries” said Abdoul Aziz MBAYE the Minister of Culture Government of Senegal at a grand function in honour of Marwah’s State visit to Senegal at Dakar.

“Films are the Ambassador of Culture of any country and development of Cinema means upliftment of culture. I have brought lots of love and affection from India to the people of Senegal and and carrying back the same love and respect back home” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios Emotionally.

“India has always been leader in initiating things, with the presence of Sandeep Marwah in Senegal it has started a new chapter of Cinema in Senegal” added H.E. Partha Satpathy Ambassador of India to Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Cape Verde& High Commission of India to Gambia.

The event was planned to mark respect to Marwah and his contribution to the World Cinema and Media. The function was attended by who’s who of city of Dakar at the most prestigious National Grand Theatre.

Sandeep Marwah Presented with Diplome D’ Honneur at Senegal

“Sandeep Marwah is not only a special guest at Senegal but he is our representative of culture in India. The formation of Indo Senegal Film And Cultural Forum is the brainchild of Marwah which has suddenly brought two countries close to each other” said Abdoul Aziz MBAYE the minister of culture, Democratic Republic of Senegal in a grand function at National Grand Theatre at Dakar.
“Sandeep Marwah is an international media personality and has contributed a lot to the field of Film, Television and media. His contribution cannot be expressed in words” added Minister of culture presenting Diploma D’ Honneur to Marwah.

“It is our proud privilege to be part of this great grand show when Sandeep Marwah has been honored for his contribution to world media by the country of Senegal” said H.E. Partha Satpathy Indian Ambassador to Senegal.

The event was attended by some of the most important people of all the ministries and departments of Senegal including people from film, television, media and culture fraternity.
