During Covid 19 the process has picked up in a much faster pace and even small news papers are available on net though there circulation is limited to what’s-up and person accounts on mobile. “The circulation has dropped down, collection of advertisement funds has reduced a lot, readership has been divided from News papers to viewership of television and most of the small news papers are fighting for survival,” added Dr. Vipin Gaur General Secretary of News Papers Association of India.

“We are surprised that the packages, which Government of India has announced to support all industries, do not carry any single benefit to Newspapers or media as such. There is no compensation to media persons who have suffered from Corona virus even on duty,” added Vikas Sharma.
