Noida:  In a vibrant celebration of World Photography Day, the AAFT School of Still Photography at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida, hosted an event that brought together students, faculty, and photography enthusiasts to honor the art and craft of photography. The event was graced by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University, who marked the occasion by releasing a special poster dedicated to the day.

“The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do. On this World Photography Day, I wish you all a very happy and creatively fulfilling day,” said Dr. Marwah in his address. His words resonated with the gathering, highlighting the timeless nature of photographs and the enduring impact they have on our lives.

Dr. Marwah, a strong advocate for the role of photography in creative education, emphasized its foundational importance in the broader spectrum of the arts. “I have always believed that photography is the base of every creative exercise. It teaches you discipline in composition, the art of focusing on your subject, concentration on your job, and the critical skill of timing. Photography not only enhances your visual and technical abilities but also enriches your quality of life,” he stated.

He further elaborated on AAFT’s commitment to integrating photography into its curriculum. “Photography is a subject that we hold in high esteem at AAFT. This is why we have incorporated it into every graduation and postgraduation course. We believe that by mastering photography, our students gain a crucial understanding of visual storytelling that is essential across all creative fields, whether it be filmmaking, design, or journalism,” Dr. Marwah added.

In addition to the poster release, the celebration included workshops and interactive sessions led by renowned photographers and industry professionals. These sessions provided valuable insights into the latest trends in photography, techniques for capturing impactful images, and the evolving role of photography in the digital age.

The World Photography Day celebration at AAFT School of Still Photography served as a reminder of the powerful role that images play in our lives. Whether capturing moments of joy, documenting significant events, or expressing artistic vision, photography continues to be an essential tool for communication and creative expression.
