Eurac Research Italy Collaborates with Marwah Studios to Strengthen International Media Research Noida, India: In a significant step toward global collaboration in media and research, Günther Cologna, Consultant to the Head Office of Eurac Research, Italy, paid a powerful and productive visit to Noida Film City to join hands with the International Film and Television Research Centre of Marwah Studios.

The visit marked an important milestone in strengthening international cooperation in the field of film, television, and media research. Discussions were held on potential collaborations, joint research initiatives, academic exchange programs, and the development of innovative projects aimed at enhancing global media education and research standards.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair for Indo Italy Film and Cultural Forum, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. The festival, presented by the International Journalism Centre in association with the AAFT School of Journalism & Mass Communication, was held from 12th to 14th February 2026 at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

Recognized as one of the most exclusive festivals of its kind—second in the world and the only one in Asia—the Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC stands as a grand celebration of 50,000 media professionals from across the globe. The important meeting of the apex body of Indian cinema was held at Hotel Maurya Patna in Patna, Bihar.

The meeting witnessed engaging and productive discussions among members regarding the growth, challenges, and future prospects of the Indian film industry. Leaders and representatives from different regions of the country participated and shared their perspectives on strengthening the role of FFI in promoting Indian cinema at national and international levels.

During the meeting, Dr. Marwah, representing the Asian Society of Film and Television, suggested that the Film Federation of India should become actively involved in prestigious national and international events where cinema is given the highest importance. He emphasized that stronger participation in such platforms would enhance the global presence and influence of Indian cinema.

Dr. Marwah also proposed the idea of organizing country-wise film festivals, Ambassadors Meet, under the banner of FFI to promote cultural exchange and showcase international cinema in India while encouraging Indian films abroad. Dr. Marwah and Lt. Gen. Hasnain share a long-standing association and have had the opportunity to meet and interact on several occasions in the past. Both also associated with the Global Counter Terrorism Council (GCTC).
