Noida / Kuala Lumpur: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malaysian World Chamber of Commerce (MWCC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, marking an important milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation between India and Malaysia.

The MoU was formalized during the visit of Mr. John Francis, Chairman, Malaysian World Chamber of Commerce, and Dr. Jayanthi Raja Ratenan, Founder & President, MWCC, to Marwah Studios, Noida. New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair, Media and Entertainment Committee (SSD 13), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, convened a review meeting today to take a first-hand assessment of the progress made by various sectional committees under SSD 13. The meeting focused on evaluating the extensive work completed towards developing and strengthening national standards across the diverse domains of the media and entertainment industry.

Dr. Marwah, who is also the Founder of Noida Film City and Marwah Studios, and Chancellor of AAFT University, expressed deep appreciation for the remarkable volume and quality of work undertaken in framing standards related to Print Media, Radio, Television, Cinema, New Media, OTT platforms, Events, and Media Education, among others. He lauded the structured approach and collaborative spirit demonstrated by the committee members in aligning Indian media standards with global best practices while keeping the unique needs of the Indian industry in mind.
