Noida: The Asian School of Media Studies (ASMS) recently hosted a momentous convocation ceremony at Marwah Studios Film City Noida, bidding farewell to the bright and talented students of the 2023 batch. The convocation celebrated the achievements of students from various disciplines, including the School of Fashion and Design, School of Interior Designing, School of Mass Communication and Journalism, School of Animation, and School of Data Science.

The passing results of the 2023 batch reflect commendable performance, continuing the trend of excellence that ASMS is known for. Addressing the graduating students, Sandeep Marwah, the Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, congratulated them on their success and encouraged them to continue learning and growing in their respective fields.

“I am sure you will put all your sincere efforts and prove yourselves as the best students of Asian School of Media Studies. Keep learning and keep on growing. Be honest towards your profession; that will bring you success and recognition,” said Sandeep Marwah during the convocation.

Renowned writer Amit Aryan, known for his contributions to major TV projects like Tera Yaar Hun Main, Who Teri Bhabhi Hai Pagle, F.I.R., Jeannie Aur Juju, Lajpatganj etc. and popular films like Do Knot Disturb, ABCD Anybody Can Dance, motivated the students and extended an invitation to explore opportunities in the growing Indian Film Industry, particularly in Mumbai.

Sarfraz Saifi, a distinguished journalist known for shows like “Rastravad” and “Rashtra Ki Awaz,” shared his inspirational journey with the students. During an interactive session, he answered questions and provided valuable insights into the media industry.

Pawnesh Pandey, an architect, business owner, and spokesperson of BJP, blessed the students and encouraged them to strive for success while upholding traditions and culture.

The students were presented with prestigious graduate and postgraduate diplomas in various streams, marking the official completion of their academic journey at ASMS. The convocation ceremony symbolized not just an end but a new beginning for these graduates as they embark on their professional journeys.

Noida: The excitement for the 12th Global Festival of Journalism reached new heights as the first poster of the prestigious event was officially launched at a conference of the Global Media Education Council (GMEC) held at Marwah Studios. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts and President of GFJN, made the announcement during the national meet, highlighting the festival’s unique position as an event curated “Of The Journalists, By The Journalists, For The Journalists.”

Since its inception in 2012, the Global Festival of Journalism has evolved into a one-of-a-kind international extravaganza, gaining prominence as a comprehensive celebration for journalists worldwide. Dr. Sandeep Marwah shared insights into the festival’s planning and its journey to becoming a global phenomenon.

The festival encompasses a diverse range of activities related to journalism, including workshops, seminars, interactions, talks, poster launching, competitions, painting exhibitions, photography exhibitions, documentary screenings, and the presentation of awards such as the Mahatma Gandhi National Award for Journalism and Global Awards for Excellence in Journalism.

Adding a touch of vibrancy to the event are musical programs, Indian classical dances, an international fashion show, street plays, and a food festival, making it a colorful and engaging experience for attendees.

The unveiling of the first poster was a momentous occasion, marked by the presence of key dignitaries including the renowned music maestro Padma Shri Dr. Soma Ghosh, Prof. Ujjwal Anu Chowdhury (Vice President of GMEC), Ambrish Saxena (Secretary of GMEC), and Dr. Ajay Kumar (Festival Director).

The GMEC, created during the pandemic, commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Republic of India with a remarkable achievement of organizing 75 webinars. During the round conference, participants engaged under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah to discuss and formulate new strategies for the upcoming year. The event provided a platform for valuable exchanges of ideas and insights, laying the foundation for future initiatives and collaborations.

Secretary General Ambrish Saxena presented a comprehensive report on GMEC, covering its journey from inception to date, offering attendees a detailed overview of the organization’s impactful endeavors.

Despite geographical distances, President of GMEC, Prof. K.G. Suresh, joined the conference online from Bhopal, extending congratulations to all attendees for this momentous first physical meeting.

Noida: The Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) recently played host to an insightful and invigorating acting workshop conducted by the distinguished anchor person, Ali Haider. With over two decades of experience in the realms of stage, television, and films, Ali Haider shared valuable insights with AAFT students, rekindling their passion for the art of anchoring in the media world.

Ali Haider’s presence brought a fresh wave of energy to the students as he delved into the nuances of anchoring and its crucial role in the media landscape. Drawing from his extensive career, he motivated and inspired the aspiring media professionals, shedding light on the evolving dynamics of the industry.

Beyond his role as an anchor person, Ali Haider has also served as an assistant director and production controller in various films in Delhi and Mumbai. His multifaceted experience provided students with a holistic perspective on the entertainment industry, enriching their understanding of the diverse facets of media and performance.

During the workshop, Ali Haider engaged with the students, emphasizing the requirements of an actor from a director’s point of view. This valuable perspective offered students a unique insight into the expectations and considerations that directors have when working with actors.

NOIDA, 7^th Dec.2023 – In a momentous celebration of cinematic excellence and cultural diplomacy, 16th Global Film Festival Noida proudly presented the Award of Distinction to the distinguished film “The Inner Glow.” The accolade was conferred by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of the Global Film Festival, in the presence of a captivated audience comprising filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and students from across India and around the globe.

The event, held at Marwah Studios, showcased the vibrancy and diversity of Venezuelan cinema, with “The Inner Glow” standing out as one of the three films selected for special recognition as part of the Focus Country Venezuela segment. Her Excellency Capaya Rodriguez Gonzalez, the esteemed Ambassador of Venezuela to India, graciously accepted the Award of Distinction on behalf of the talented filmmakers behind “The Girls Squad.”

The Indo Venezuela Film and Cultural Forum (IVFCF), established in 2016 under the aegis of ICMEI, has been instrumental in fostering meaningful cultural exchange between India and Venezuela. Dr. Sandeep Marwah expressed his satisfaction at the collaborative efforts, stating, “IVFCF has been our steadfast partner in all Global Film Festivals, and we are proud to witness the success and recognition that Venezuelan cinema has garnered on this prestigious platform.”

Ambassador Capaya Rodriguez Gonzalez conveyed her gratitude to the Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN) for designating Venezuela as the Focus Country. She expressed confidence in the power of cinema to facilitate cultural exchange and strengthen bilateral relations between Venezuela and India.

“The Inner Glow” and the other Venezuelan films showcased during the festival were lauded for their cinematic excellence, and Ambassador Capaya Rodriguez Gonzalez predicted that these films would play a pivotal role in fostering cultural ties and enhancing relations between the two nations.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to promoting cultural ties, Dr. Sandeep Marwah conferred upon Ambassador Capaya Rodriguez Gonzalez the prestigious Hindi Cinema Samman, the most prestigious national award for the promotion of India-Venezuela relations, particularly in the realm of art and culture. A memento of the festival was also presented to the Ambassador as a token of appreciation.

The event was graced by the presence of Alfredo Caldera, Cultural Counsellor at the Embassy of Venezuela, and Rojyar Seyeddi, Counsellor at the Embassy of Venezuela, further enhancing the celebration of Indo-Venezuelan cultural collaboration.

Noida 7th Dec. 2023: A flavorful twist to the 16th Global Film Festival, the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism took center stage by presenting an array of delectable international cuisines to cinema delegates and distinguished guests.

The inaugural session of the food festival unfolded with immense enthusiasm as AAFT showcased meticulously crafted dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of Ghana, Georgia, Venezuela, and Iran. The culinary creations were met with appreciation from attendees who reveled in the rich and diverse flavors brought to life through extensive research and practice.

Dignitaries gracing the event included Conrad Nana Kojo Asiedu, First Secretary High Commission of Ghana; Dr. Ammar Abdulhamed Khader, Cultural Attache, Embassy of Iraq; Lasha Japaridze, Charge d’Affairs Embassy of Georgia; Her Excellency Capaya Rodriguez Gonzalez, Ambassador of Venezuela; and Moshki Mohammed Reza from the Embassy of Iran. The presence of esteemed personalities from both the film and diplomatic spheres added a touch of international flair to the culinary celebration.

Simultaneously, the event marked the launch of an important initiative related to Millet Food, previously initiated by the Prime Minister of India.
