ICMEI Celebrates Sri Lanka’s Independence Day at Marwah Studios

Noida, India – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, celebrated the Independence Day of Sri Lanka at Marwah Studios with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit. The event highlighted the strong bilateral relations between India and Sri Lanka, emphasizing the role of art, culture, and media in fostering stronger ties.

Extending his warm wishes, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, congratulated Her Excellency Kshenuka Dhireni Senewiratne, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, and the people of Sri Lanka on their Independence Day, celebrated on 4th February.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Marwah emphasized the historic and friendly ties between India and Sri Lanka, stating that cultural collaboration can further enhance people-to-people interactions between the two nations. “India and Sri Lanka share an enduring relationship, which can be strengthened through art, culture, and cinema. This is precisely what the Indo-Sri Lanka Film and Cultural Forum has been working towards,” he added.

The Indo-Sri Lanka Film and Cultural Forum, established under the ICMEI umbrella, has been actively promoting collaborative initiatives, cultural exchanges, and film partnerships between the two nations, paving the way for a deeper and more meaningful relationship.

The celebration at Marwah Studios showcased the essence of Sri Lankan heritage, reinforcing ICMEI’s commitment to fostering international cooperation through media and entertainment.
