WPDRF and Brahma Kumaris Unite to Promote Indian Festivals and Cultural Traditions
Noida, India – August 2024 – In a powerful initiative to preserve and promote India’s rich cultural heritage, the World Peace Development and Research Foundation (WPDRF), in association with Brahma Kumaris, has announced a commitment to celebrate and highlight all major Indian festivals on a grand scale. The initiative aims to reinforce cultural traditions and customs, ensuring that the younger generation remains connected to their roots.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of WPDRF, emphasized the importance of preserving traditions in today’s fast-changing world. “It is crucial to keep our traditions and culture intact. Regular celebration of festivals will help instill a belief in the young generation, who are gradually drifting away from the customs of our nation,” said Dr. Marwah. This effort is a significant step toward revitalizing the cultural consciousness of India’s youth.
As part of this initiative, a group from Brahma Kumaris visited Marwah Studios, the international headquarters of WPDRF, to celebrate the forthcoming festival of Raksha Bandhan (Rakhi). This traditional festival, where sisters tie a Rakhi (sacred thread) around their brothers’ wrists, symbolizes the bond of protection and care between siblings. During the visit, Brahma Kumaris celebrated Rakhi, reinforcing the significance of this festival and the values it upholds.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, who is also closely associated with Brahma Kumaris, actively contributes to the global cultural interactions of this spiritual organization. His efforts to promote cultural exchange and spiritual awareness align with the broader goals of the WPDRF, making this partnership a powerful force in preserving and promoting Indian culture worldwide.
This initiative marks a significant step in WPDRF’s mission to foster global peace and cultural understanding through the preservation of traditional values and customs.
