Russian Doll Presented to AAFT as Symbol of Friendship and Creative Association

Noida: In a significant gesture of friendship and creative association between India and Russia, Ms. Svetlana Pchelnikova, Managing Director, Kingdom of Dolls, Moscow, presented a traditional Russian Doll to AAFT – Asian Academy of Film & Television at Marwah Studios.

Presenting the Russian Doll, Ms. Svetlana Pchelnikova said, “This Russian Doll is a symbol of our friendship, creativity and the warm cultural relationship between Russia and India. I am delighted to present it to AAFT as a token of our association and our shared commitment to promoting art and culture between the two countries.”

She appreciated the initiatives of AAFT and the Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum in bringing together creative communities and providing platforms for cultural exchange, artistic collaboration and international friendship.

Later, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT and Chair of the Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum, presented Ms. Svetlana Pchelnikova with the Life Membership of the International Film and Television Club (IFTC) of AAFT in recognition of her contribution to strengthening creative and cultural relations between India and Russia.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said, “The Russian Doll presented by Ms. Svetlana is not merely a beautiful work of art; it is a symbol of friendship, trust and creative association between two great cultures. We are delighted to welcome her into the IFTC family and honour her with Life Membership.”

Dr. Marwah further added, “Cinema, art, culture and creativity have no boundaries. They connect hearts and create lasting relationships between nations. The Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum is working continuously to provide more opportunities for artists, filmmakers, students and cultural organisations from both countries to come together.”

The exchange of the Russian Doll and the presentation of IFTC Life Membership marked another memorable milestone in the growing cultural and creative partnership between India and Russia.

The occasion reinforced the shared vision of strengthening Indo-Russian friendship through cinema, art, culture and education, and creating new avenues for meaningful collaboration between the creative communities of the two nations.
