Noida: Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI (International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with His Excellency Mustapha Jawara, High Commissioner of Gambia to India at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

The objective of the MOU is to foster a closer bond between the people of India and Gambia through the promotion of art and culture. The collaboration aims to facilitate the exchange of artistic ideas, cultural practices, and creative collaborations between the two nations.

The signing of the MOU marks a significant milestone in the cultural relations between India and Gambia. It paves the way for mutual understanding and appreciation of each other’s artistic heritage, while also creating avenues for joint initiatives and projects in the realm of media, entertainment, and cultural exchange.

Sandeep Marwah, a prominent figure in the global media and entertainment industry, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the immense potential for cultural collaborations between India and Gambia. New Delhi: Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, as well as the Chair for Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum, was bestowed with the esteemed role of special guest at the Independence Day Celebration of Belarus, organized by the Embassy of Belarus in New Delhi at Hotel Leela Grand.

Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum was established by His Excellency H E Andrei I Rzheussky to foster and strengthen the bonds between the people of India and Belarus through the realms of art and culture. The forum has been making remarkable strides, with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry playing a pivotal role in highlighting Belarus through various platforms, such as the Global Film Festival, Global Fashion Week, Global Literary Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Food Festivals, and more. The event’s Chief Guest was Meenakshi Lekhi, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture.

New Delhi: Leading international figures came together at the prelude event for the much-anticipated International Summit on Standards in Media and Entertainment Industry, masterminded by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, a prominent figure in the media and entertainment world. The event was hosted by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industries (PHDCCI), in a bid to define and promote the highest standards in the global media and entertainment sector.

Mateja Vodeb Ghosh Ambassador of Slovenia,  Charge d’ Affaires Thabang Linus Kholumo  High Commission of Kingdom of Lesotho, Deputy Head of the Mission Lazar Vukadinovic Embassy of Serbia, Cultural Counsellor Alfredo Caldera Embassy of Venezuela, and Trade Counsellor  Bui Trung Thuong, Embassy of Vietnam took to the stage to share insights into the standards upheld in their respective countries.

The discussion, led by Sandeep Marwah – also National Chairman of  Media & Entertainment Committee at Bureau of Indian Standards, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India – focused on the immense scope of the Indian Media and Entertainment Industry and its potential to set benchmarks globally.

Shivam Soni, Secretary of the Media & Entertainment Committee of BIS, played a key role in the discourse, adding to the array of perspectives from around the world. The exchange proved to be enlightening, with active participation from audience members, who voiced their experiences and expressed their unique needs within the industry. The dialogue fostered a cross-pollination of ideas and a shared understanding of global media standards.

Shalini Sharma, Assistant Secretary-General of PHDCCI, effectively steered the event, which saw participation from various walks of life, reinforcing the universality and inclusivity of media and entertainment standards.

The curtain-raiser event is set to pave the way for the main Summit, where world leaders in the media and entertainment industry will convene to discuss and implement a harmonized approach to global standards, aiming to elevate the quality and credibility of content produced worldwide.

Noida: An exhilarating musical soiree was orchestrated by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry in collaboration with AAFT School of Performing Arts, situated within the premises of Marwah Studios. This spectacular event was arranged for the benefit of film, television, and media students of the AAFT – Asian Academy of Film and Television. The pulsating evening was brought to life by the acclaimed Rwandan artist, Jules Sentore, along with his band of skilled musicians.

The musical event garnered support from various esteemed organizations such as the Indo Rwanda Film and Cultural Forum, and the High Commission of Rwanda in India. “Music is a universal language that has the power to bind hearts together, reinforcing our collective faith in humanity,” stated Dr. Sandeep Marwah, while expressing his admiration for the remarkable efforts and impressive presentation of the 17 artists who had journeyed from Rwanda to India for this occasion.

Marwah Studios, a renowned platform that caters to both new and established artists, was chosen as the ideal location for this event. “We deliberately selected this venue, confident that it would pave the way for the success of the program,” stated Emile  MWEPESI from the High Commission of Rwanda.

Jules Sentore, christened Rwamiza Jules Bonheur Sentore, is a celebrated musician from Rwanda who specializes in the traditional genre of gakondo music. His grandfather recognized his talent at a young age, nurturing it and instructing him on how to master a variety of musical instruments, including the inanga. Sentore’s impressive portfolio includes performances in multiple countries such as Burundi, Uganda, Congo, and Germany, among many others.

Usman Khan, recognized for his collaboration with music directors Sajid-Wajid on numerous film scores, has left an indelible mark on Hindi cinema’s musical landscape. His visit to Marwah Studios, home to the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), served as a testament to his ongoing commitment to nurturing and promoting cinematic and musical arts.

“Music is the soul of cinema and a vital part of our lives,” stated Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, as he awarded the IFTC life membership to Khan. “We are honored to welcome Usman Khan into our community. His experience and influence in the industry will be an invaluable asset.”

NOIDA, India, July 9, 2023 – Ritu Shivpuri, a luminary in the Indian film industry, delivered an empowering acting workshop at the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) held in Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

Shivpuri, renowned for her leading roles in movies like “Aankhen,” “Ham Sab Chor Hain,” “Elaan”, “Lajja” and TV series “Es Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon,” emphasized the importance of dedication, passion, hard work, and persistence in making a mark in the film industry. “This profession offers fame, recognition, and glamour, but it demands unwavering commitment,” said Shivpuri.

Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT, stressed the value of a positive attitude and keen interest for success in the industry. “AAFT provides state-of-the-art infrastructure, hands-on training, and substantial industry exposure,” he added, “but the key to success lies within your positive outlook and unwavering passion.”
