Asian School of Media Studies Joined hands with one of the most prestigious film festival on the issues of Environment and Wildlife-WildScreen Film Festival organized by British Council in Delhi. The two days festival at Marwah Studios attracted many young film makers from different streams of film making. The screenings were followed by workshops and discussions.

“We are honored to be part of this popular film festival brought to India by British Council.” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. “It is not only informative but has induced us to go ahead for making more films on environment and wildlife” Marwah added.

Charlie Walker, the Director Programme British Council ahead the team of film makers from United Kingdom including Laura Marshall, Patric Rouxcell, Ted Oakes, Nicola Reeves, Richards Edwards. The movies screened in these two days included ‘Extreme Ice’, on glacier melts from US directed by Noel Dockstader; ‘The Man Who Stopped the Desert’, a West African tale of greening the desert by Mark Dodd from Britain; and ‘The Wild Meat Trail’, an account of wild meat hunting and eating in northeast India directed by Rita Banerji and Shilpi Sharma.

Other films include ‘North-Eastern Diaries: Seeking Wildlife in the Eastern Himalayas’ from India by Sandesh Kadur, ‘How Earth Made Us: Human Planet’ from Britain by Matthew Dyas, ‘Wild: The Coral Gardener’ from Britain by Emma Robens, ‘Green’ from France by Patrick Rouxel and the BBC Life series on environment.

“British Council will make more efforts like this to create awareness on these kind of social issues and will be pleased to work with Asian School of Media Studies (ASMS) and Asian Academy of Film And Television (AAFT).” said Rob Lynes Director British Council in India.

Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrate of Mexico was conferred upon a honoris causa Diploma in TV Journalism and Communication at Marwah Studios in Film City Noida before a packed international press and celebrities from the entertainment and academia. The honour was bestowed upon her by His Excellency Sandeep Marwah, world record holder in entertainment industry, former vice-chancellor, Ambassador of Wales in India and Director General of Asian Education Group.
Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) has produced over 10,000 creative mass communicators on different realms of visual media from 80 odd countries across the globe in last two decade since its inception.
Internationally renowned fashion designer Sanjana Jon who accompanied Miss Universe on national tour to promote and propagate social causes was also awarded an honoris causa diploma in Media Management from AAFT.

Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarette of Mexico inaugurated Asian Academy of Arts (AAA) here today at Marwah Studios in Film City, Noida. Renowned fashion designer Sanjana Jon was the guest of honor. The guests were from all different walks of life including from international print and electronic media. Speaking on the occasion, President said that the AAA will strive for the blending among performing and plastic fine arts including dance, drama, music, sculpture, literature, painting and stage craft floated by the internationally known brand of media and entertainment Asian Educational Group.
Navarette along with Jon is touring India as a part of a global promotion exercise for social causes like saving the girl child among others. She will in the process promote the Miss Universe.

“Look into the history of any film maker you will find that he has started his carrier with short film, and the trend still remain the same after so many years” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and World Record Holder of producing largest number of short films while formally launching the new film produced by New Era Films under the leadership of Param Saluja supported by Dr.H.K.Singh of MIDI in association with Marwah Films And Video Production.

We are proud that the New Era Films has completed its first project with the students of AAFT Asian Academy of Film And Television ‘ The Way It Was Seen’ directed by Robin Chacko student of Post Graduate Diploma in Film And TV Production informed Dean AAFT.

Sharing his experience of institute days the renowned film maker Ashok Tyagi Dean Cinema ASMS congratulated New Era Films for their first venture. “we are overwhelmed with the support Marwah Studios has given us in our first venture, we are indebted to the team of AAFT for completing everything in time” said Param Saluja the producer of the film.

“We would love to honor Sandeep Marwah for bringing perfection in film, TV & media education and training” added Dr.H.K.Singh director MIDI who announced Doctrate Degree for Marwah. Later Sandeep Marwah presented life membership of International Film And Television Research Centre to the guest and R’K.Singh Joint Director Asian School of Media Studies purposed vote of thanks.

Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarette of Mexico and internationally renowned fashion designer Sanjana Jon joined hands with Sandeep Marwah, President, Marwah Studios for the promotion and propagation of social issues through media and other communication channel. The issues will include saving the girl child. The message that emerged at a glittering event organized on the campus of Marwah Studios here today was that instead of saving the girl child the thrust should be on celebrating the girl child as that would give dignity and respect to the fair sex which has been deprived to them since ages.
Marwah Studios that aims to be a creative enterprise through productive intervention in socially, culturally and spiritually relevant themes that emerges in all societies from time to time. President Marwah assured the distinguished guests that different schools of Marwah Studios like Asian Academy of Film & Television, Asian School of Media Studies and Asian Business School besides numerous international clubs, centres, academies and organizations devoted to research, art promotion etc. would leave no stone unturned towards these causes.

The well known Asian Media Personality Sandeep Marwah was honored in a grand function at Patna, the capital of State of Bihar for his untiring efforts in the field of Media Education and bringing the name of India to the World fame in general and promoting people from Bihar in the field of Media in particular.

“We need dynamic people to bring in enthusiasm in youth to promote and to encourage country men and more so ever people from Bihar” said H.E. Kailashpati Mishr the former Governor of Gujrat in the capacity of Chief Guest. “People like Sandeep Marwah must be honored for their sincere contribution towards the promotion of Bihar” said Dr. Jaganath Mishr the former Chief Minister of Bihar who was Guest of Honor at the award function.

The award was given in the presence of Prem Kumar Minister of Development, Shyam Rajak Minister of Fertilizer, Sunil Kumar Pintoo Minister of Tourism, Om Parkash Yadav Member Parliament Lok Sabha, Ram Kripal Yadav Member Parliament Rajya Sabha, Rana Gangeshwar and Dilmani Devi Member of Legislative Assembly Bihar and Ashwani Kumar Singh Founder President of Asmita Awards.

The Third Bihari Asmita Award 2010 had taken place at Shri Krishan Memorial Hall before large audience of 2500 people from Patna and all over India. The Award function was followed by entertainment program.
