64th Festival Of Short Digital Films

The renowned film writer and director Esmayeel Shroff said that film festivals do provide an opportunity to learn the practical process of filmmaking. He was formally inaugurating the 64th Festival of short digital films at Asian Academy of Film & Television. This creative genius is credited with launching the career of a number of well known film actors including Govinda, Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, Padmini Kolhapure and Kunal Kapoor. Brifely introducing the festival Prof. Sandeep Marwah informed that some of the film being screened will be filed as an entry to the student corner of the forthcoming prestigious Cannes Film Festival. The well known cinematographer turned director Adeep Tandon told the audience that creativity indeed lies in the way a story is told with pictures and sound. Addressing the students Asit Mittal of Shivkala Motion Pictures said that every human endeavour including filmmaking demands focussed attention. The veteran television writer and producer A.S. Bedi also shared his views with the audience on this occasion.

63rd Festival Of Short Digital Films

“It’s a great pleasure to see the creative product of young film makers .The film schools are nursery for film technicians”, said Vijay Goel, Chief Guest and former Union Minister, Government Of India while inaugurating the 63rd Festival of Short digital Films at Asian Academy Of Film And Television, Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. The festival is organized by International Film And Television Club[IFTC] and has 15 best films made by the students in the last batch of AAFT produced by Marwah Films And Video Production, a production house under the leadership of Sandeep Marwah.

“I had the opportunity to be in different countries of the World, but the kind of Film and TV education AAFT is providing in India, it is commendable.” Said Krishna v. Rajan, an IFS and former Ambassador to Nepal ect. and Chairman of Universal Peace Federation[India Chapter].

“I am proud that I could create an International Record with the students of AAFT, and could produce 1500 short films with the young film makers of 70 countries of the World.” informed Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios.

The other speakers who spoke on the occasion were Vinod Zusti, a TV producer Director,
Arun Kumar of International Sports Entertainment Ltd, Anoop Bhandari Editor Models and Trend, Dean AAFT.Later Sandeep Marwah presented Academy Award to Rajesh Bajaj an alumnae of AAFT from 7th Batch for his sincere contribution to Film and TV Industry. Rajesh Bajaj has been the director of more than 150 advertisement films, writer director of known film ‘Hari Puttar’,and now working in Hollywood with some big names like Halley Berry as writer/Director.

Develop Responsibility towards Nation-Aziz Burney

“To be in journalism means promoting democracy, but always keep in mind your responsibility towards the nation. You have to prove that you are over and above the common man” suggested Dr.Aziz Burney veteran journalist and editor in chief of renowned international Urdu Paper Azizul Hind on the orientation program of Asian School of Media Studies at Noida Film City.
“We are bringing world class opportunities to the class room for the students, now it is entirely up to them how they can take best use of those facilities” added Sandeep Marwah President of ASMS addressing new batch of ASMS students.

ASMS has its own research centre-IFTRC, news paper- Country & Politics, a new agency-Asian News Agency, A publication department where books, magazines, news letter, journals are being published. Journalism can be practiced by students on its own radio station-Radio Noida 107.4, an IPTV tv station-marwahstudios.tv and a world class association-International Journalism Centre for any and every thing touching journalism.

Later Sandeep Marwah honored Dr. Aziz Burney with the life membership of International Journalism Centre of Marwah Studios.
