Films are Made by Heart Rahul Rawail

Famous film director, eminent cinema personality, Rahul Rawail, who created sensation years back by churning out super hit movies such as ‘BETAB’, ‘Love Story’, ‘Arjun’, ‘Arjun Pandit’ & many others, visited Asian Academy of Film & Television, Film City, Noida, to meet & address students of cinema. Son of yester-years legend H.S Rawail who gave all time super hit, ‘Mere Mehboob’, Rahul Rawail appreciated infrastructure based instructional methodology adopted by AAFT, while answering the questions of the students, stated that in the present world, films & TV training is important. Films are made by heart announced Rawail addressing future film makers at Marwah studios. Sandeep Marwah, president of Marwah Studios, welcoming doyen of film industry, said that entertainment industry is growing at the rate of 20% per annum including expanding share of powerful cinema medium. Sandeep Marwah emphasized, more & more technicians would be required in the years to come.

AAFT Is Proud of Alumnus Abhimanyu Dange

Abhimanyu Dange pass out of Asian Academy of Film And Television from 40th& 42nd Batch completed his education and training in Film Direction and Cinematography brought the name of the institution to national level when his name was announced for the best cinematographer for short film for President’s Award 2012 at National Film Awards Function.

“I started my learning from AAFT at Noida, after completing my course in Cinematography I also completed my Production/Direction course. I am indebted to my teachers at AAFT who have injected film making in my blood” said Abhi manyu Dange at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

“I am proud of my student who has picked up the film making so well and made us proud today” said Sandeep Marwah Director of AAFT Noida. “ We will honor Abhimanyu at the Academy soon” Marwah added.

Director of FUKREY Alumnus of AAFT

“Fukrey is a 2013 Indian comedy film directed by the alumnus of (AAFT) Asian Academy of Film And Television Mrighdeep Singh Lamba” informed Sandeep Marwah Director of AAFT. “We are actually celebrating the success of the film, Mrigdeep Singh Lamba has added another feather to the cap of AAFT” Marwah added.

The film has Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadda, Vishakha Singh, and Priya Anandin in the lead roles. The story and dialogues are written by Vipul Vig and the screenplay was written by Vig and Lamba. Produced under the Excel Entertainment banner, the film was released on 14 June 2013. Despite a slow opening, the film has become a super hit.

The film is produced by Farhan Akhtar & Ritesh Sidhwani, Music Director is Ram Sampat,Lyrics are written by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, Munna Dhiman, Vipul Vig Singers are Ram Sampat, Sona Mohapatra, Tarannum, Mika Singh, Rana Mazumder, Keerthi Sagathia and Clinton Cerejo.

AAFTian Ajay Bahl

‘B.A. Pass’ is a 2013 Hindi Neo noir film, produced and directed by AAFTian Ajay Bahl, and starring Shilpa Shukla, Shadab Kamal, Rajesh Sharma, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in lead roles. It is distributed by Bharat Shah’s VIP films banner. The film is based on 2009 short story ‘The Railway Aunty’ by Mohan Sikka.

“I remember introducing Ajay Bahl to Santosh Shivam during his 15th batch at AAFT when we were shooting for feature film DILSE at Marwah Studios. He took keen interest in the film” recollected Sandeep Marwah Director of Asian Academy of Film And Television, Noida Film City congratulating Ajay Bahl for his super venture.

At the 2012 Osian’s Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema, the won the Best Film Award in the ‘Indian competition’ section, while debutante Shadab Kamal won the Best Actor award. Later at the 2012 Montreal World Film Festival the film was part of the ‘First Films World Competition where it was nominated for the Golden Zenith for the Best First Fiction Feature Film.

In January 2013, at the first South Asian Film Festival held in Paris it won The Prix Du Public (voted best film by the French Audience).

Shammi Chhabra of AAFT

A comedy and romance feature film Lucky Kabootar Produced by Anita Raj Kanwar is now ready for release. The film is directed by Shammi Chhabra an alumnus of 39th batch of AAFT Asian Academy of Film And Television.

“I am proud of Shammi who has worked so hard to give a wonderful result to the film. The education does matter in life” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and AAFT.

The film has been produced under the banner Dhananjay Films Pvt. Ltd., Inderjit Film Combines and Jai Viratra Entertainment Ltd.

Feature film Lucky Kabootar has Ravi Kissen, Eijaz Khan, Kulraj Randhawa, Shraddha Das, Sanjay Mishra and Madhavi Sharma. The story is written by Shyam Goel, background music is by Sunil Singh choreography by Vishnu Deva and music by Santokh Singh. The.lyricists are provided by Sameer editor is Kuldeep Mehan, cinematography by Lenin Xavier, art by Nyandeo Paikro and sound by Jagmohan Anand.

Boney Kapoor at 6th Global Film Festival Noida

Some of the finest films are directed by students of AAFT which shows that Asian Academy of Film And Television has given the best film education to its students, there is no doubt that AAFT is the first ten best film schools of the World” said Boney Kapoor renowned film Producer and former President Film Federation of India.

“Times have changed and film makers aspect new comers to join industry with full knowledge and training. A good education in media does matter” added Boney Kapoor replying to the questions from the large media audience at 6th Global Film Festival Noida 2013.

Releasing the poster of Alumni Boney congratulated Marwah Studios for bringing the festival to international level. Sandeep Marwah President of GFFN thanked him for his gracious presence. The discussion was shared by Jeno Hodi, Karl Bardosh, Satish Anand, Ashok Tyagi.

Workshop By David Dhawan At 5th GFFN

David Dhawan started off as an editor and then took the plunge into directing. He specializes in directing comedy films, most of which have featured Govinda, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor or Sanjay Dutt in lead roles, with Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Katrina Kaif playing the leading actresses. Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Johnny Lever and Paresh Rawal appear in his films playing supporting roles. His biggest success to date is 1993′s Aankhen starring Govinda and Chunkey Pandey His Partner also became a big success at the box office.

Speaking to the film delegates Sandeep Marwah said,” David Dhawan is one of the most successful directors of the country. His command on comedy is commendable”.

David Dhawan taught the film audience how comedy films are planned and what are the ingredients required for the same.

Milenge Milenge At Marwah Studios

The Kareena-Shahid posters of the film Milenge Milenge attracted a huge crowd of young enthusiastic students of Asian Academy of Film And Television to the auditorium where Satish kaushik decided to show the promos to the National press at Marwah studios .There was hardly a space to enter in the hall which was over booked to see on screen this wonderful pair of the Indian film industry Kareena and Shahid.

“Milenge Milenge- I assure you that Satish Kaushik is going to meet you today” said Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios introducing Satish Kaushik to the over excited audience of this special show who was waiting for interaction  with the Director.

Answering to the questions by press Satish Kaushik narrated many instances which have left impact on him while making the film. “I am missing my actors today but they are busy out side India for shooting their films respectively” said Satish. “My producer Boney Kapoor is busy releasing film. I can assure you my lead pair they look as fresh on screen as ever or as you would like to see them on screen” he added.

Tigmanshu Dhulia At Marwah Studios

The renowned writer director Tigmanshi Dhulia popularly known for his films like Haasil, Charas:a joint operation, Pan Singh Tomar recollected his early days of Bandit Queen Phoolan Devi shot at Marwah Studios for almost three months during the year 1991 where he started his film career as Casting Director.

Answering the series of questions put up by the national press, Himanshu also interacted with the students of Asian Business School, Asian Academy of Film And Television & Asian School of Media Studies at Noida Film City and said that the time has come when audience would like to see cinema of seventies in short duration.

Single director cannot create a cinema for the audience of whole country like India, One style of cinema can only satisfy one set of audience “said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios introducing Tigmanshu’s works on cinema and small screen.

Film Director Raj Kumar Hirani & Mr. Sandeep Marwah President Of AAFT

Best known for his super hit films like Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai the National Award winner and FilmFare Award winner director Raj Kumar Hirani visited Asian Academy Of Film And TV at Noida Film City.I am amazed to see the facilities provided for education and training of film and TV at AAFT , said Raj Kumar Hirani while talking to the Director of the Academy Sandeep Marwah.Raj Kumar Hirani is planning the next schedule of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s forthcoming film Three Idiots with Amir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Madhvan, Boman Irani in Delhi and Noida.Raj Kumar Hirani who also has been associated with films like Parineeta, 1942 A love Story, Mission Kashmir, Kareeb, Eklavya in the different capacity He is invited by AAFT to present the case study of his films in this University environment of AAFT and ASMS at his convenience.
