Master Class by Dharmesh Darshan at AAFT

Noida: Renowned filmmaker Darmesh Darshan expressed his desire to make a short film with the young talent of AAFT while talking in the master class at Asian Academy of Film And Television at Noida Film City.

Dharmesh Darshan has directed films like Lootre, Dharkan, Bewaffa, Mela, Aap Ki Khatir and one of the first ten largest grossers feature film Raja Hindustani. Sharing his experience of 30 years in film business Darshan narrated many instances from his shooting days and his accountancies with large number of stars and technicians.

“I am amazed by the quality and quantity of film activities happening here in this campus. The positive vibes and a real filmi environment has made this film school as one of the best in the World,” said Dharmesh answering questions raised by the students.

“I am thankful to Dharmesh Ji for his valuable input to the institution and for sharing unwritten laws of the film industry in depth” said Sandeep Marwah handing over the life membership of World Peace Development And Research Foundation.

ICMEI Sends Its Greetings to Republic of Italy

13th Anniversary of Harit Kranti at Sarita Vihar

The organization, by working closely with civic authorities like DDA, MCD, BSES, DJB etc. has been successful in developing more than 60 parks including play fields, green belts, and herbal park.

Sandeep Marwah Mesmerized The Audience With Poetry

An evening with various personalities from different walks of life, showcasing their lesser known talent for poetry, was recently held at the India Habitat Centre. Titled “Mera Kavi Roop” (my poetic side), the evening saw some of the best-known faces like renowned classical singer Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan, Kathak exponents Nalini Asthana and Shovana Narayan, Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Vijay, tabla guru Pandit Vijay Shankar Mishra, yoga guru Prem Bhatia and radio journalist Mamta Kiran.

Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios won the hearts of the poetry lovers with his loud, clear and majestic voice. His poetry touched the hearts of the audience. The meaningful words were the outcome of pain and experience he got during his struggling days.

Poet Laxmi Shankar Bajpai in his inimitable style anchored the programme. The NGO Sakshi-Siet organized the event. “Poetry is an extremely strong medium of expression and it brings forth the beauty and sensitivity of thoughts in an unforgettable manner,” remarked Mridula Tandon, president, Sakshi-Siet.

International Women’s Film Forum Has Large Agendas

Noida: IWFF- International Women’s Film Forum has been formed to promote and encourage Women of all fields in their professional career or for the social growth of Women by the team of Asian Academy of Film And Television.

IWFF has been conducting different kind of programs which includes workshops, seminars, interactions, talks, visits, foreign presentations, festivals, symposiums meant for women on assorted subjects to bring in awareness in the society and to develop the over all personality of women in India.

A seminar has been designed this time titled ‘Women: The Achievers’ to be held at Marwah Studios on 17th June, 2016. The speakers are from all over India.

The event is going to be supported by Sardar Patel Forum, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Forum, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Forum, Sarvepalli Dr. Radhakrishan Forum and Mahatma Gandhi Forum of Marwah Studios.

ICMEI Extends its Greetings to Guyana on National Day

The President of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry Sandeep Marwah has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana on their Independence Day (May 26, 2016).

In a message to His Excellency Forbes July the High Commissioner of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, the President ICMEI Sandeep Marwah has said relations between India and Guyana are based on the solid foundation of shared history and culture.

These have been further strengthened through exchanges of high level visits and people-to-people contacts. ICMEI is going to inaugurate soon the Indo Guyana Chapter in the Chamber. Rajiv Pratap Rudy Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India was the guest of honor on the occasion.

Sandeep Marwah Honored Jeff Burke With IFTC Membership

Sandeep Marwah honored Jeff Burke with the life membership of International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy of Film And Television during his visit to AAFT at Noida Film City. Jeff Burke is assistant dean, technology and innovation at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television (UCLA TFT)

Burke is a three-time UCLA alumnus (B.S., M.S., Electrical Engineering; M.F.A., Film, Television and Digital Media) who has produced, managed, programmed and designed experimental performances, short films, new genre art installations and new facility construction internationally for more than 15 years.

“Burke has been a faculty member since 2001 and today, in addition to his role developing technology and innovation strategy at UCLA TFT, is co-PI and application team lead for the Named Data Networking project, a multi-campus effort supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and an international 25-member consortium to develop a future Internet architecture,” informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

In 2004, Burke co-founded UCLA TFT’s Center for Research in Engineering, Media and Performance, a collaboration with the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, which combines research, artistic production and community engagement. At REMAP, Burke’s research has been supported by the NSF and NEA, Intel, Cisco, Google, Trust for Mutual Understanding and the MacArthur Foundation, among others he received a three-year Google Focused Award on the “Future of Storytelling,” for work that will explore the intersection of storytelling and coding through research and production of original, interdisciplinary digital media works at UCLA TFT.

NOIDA: At UCLA Post Graduate students of AAFT & ASMS are awarded scholarships by demonstrating a high level of academic and personal achievement. Scholarships can provide students with additional gift aid, enabling them to reduce borrowing or out of pocket costs. Many university scholarships are designed to reward, encourage, and assist students in pursuing academic excellence and leadership roles

“Scholarships are awarded to students who meet the specific criteria established by donors, which may include a variety of factors such as student’s academic achievements, ethnicity, volunteer work and professional interests,” said Jeffery A Burke Assistant Dean of University of California Los Angles.

Marwah Studios Join Hands With International Federation of Red Cross

New Delhi: The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, providing assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions.

“Founded in 1919, the IFRC comprises 190 member Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies, a secretariat in Geneva and more than 60 delegations strategically located to support activities around the world. There are more societies in formation. The Red Crescent is used in place of the Red Cross in many Islamic countries,” informed Hugo Geuvens Regional PH, FA & CHC Delegate in a joint meeting with Asian Academy of Film And Television at National Head Quarters at New Delhi.

“The IFRC vision is to inspire, encourage, facilitate and promote at all times all forms of humanitarian activities by National Societies, with a view to preventing and alleviating human suffering, and thereby contributing to the maintenance and promotion of human dignity and peace in the world,” added Leon Prop Head Country Cluster, South Asia during the session.

Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios assured full assistance to the Indian Red Cross Society and IFTC in the coming days. He also committed to be part of their programs. Dr. Veer Bhushan Joint Secretary at National Head Quarters extended special thanks to Marwah for his active participation.
