The purpose of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) is to help raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies (ICT) can bring to societies and economies, as well as of ways to bridge the digital divide.

“Covid 19 has expedited the large and the massive usage of internet within a few days. In this lockdown the Internet is the biggest blessing. We at AAFT also have brought the education on line. All the twelve colleges, 60 class rooms are involved with 180 classes every day, thanks to internet,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT and Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Associations while talking to the people at Webinar on World Telecommunication Day.

“We have conducted best of the webinars, seminars, interactions, talks from all over India and abroad from the best of the faculty and personalities for the students of AAFT only through internet, now you just cannot ignore Internet,” added Dr. Marwah.

“Information technology can be a beacon of hope, allowing billions of people around the world to connect. During the COVID-19 pandemic, these connections are more important than ever,” marked by António GuterresUN Secretary-General.

New Delhi: The International Day of Light is a global initiative that provides a platform for the continued appreciation of light and the role it plays in science, culture and art, education and sustainable development, and in fields as diverse as medicine, communications and energy.

The broad theme of light will allow many different sectors of society worldwide to participate in activities that demonstrate how science, technology, art and culture can help achieve the goals of UNESCO – education, equality and peace.

“An International Day of Light will contribute to build new bridges between scientific disciplines, education and the art, responding to the critical need for interdisciplinary science, and improved dialogue between citizens, scientists, decision makers, industry leaders and non-governmental organisations,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios at AAFT Session on web.

“Needless to say that whole film making is the outcome of light. We have a parallel relationship with light in our profession. No light no film,” Each day brings new opportunities, allowing you to constantly live with love—be there for others—bring a little light into someone’s day. Be grateful and live each day to the fullest. Learn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someone’s life. Be the light that helps others see; it is what gives life its deepest significance.” added Dr. Marwah.

The International Day of Light will be an annual celebration providing a platform for continued appreciation of the central role that light science and technologies play in the lives of citizens from all over the world.

New Delhi: This year’s 25th anniversary of International Day of Families comes at a time of one of the most challenging global health and social crises. The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic brings into sharp focus the importance of investing in social policies protecting the most vulnerable individuals and families.

“First of all I congratulate all the families in the World A very happy International Day of Families. May lord bring lots of love and closeness in the families and their ties. This Covid 19 has brought every one close to each other emotionally,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Global Cultural Minister and President of World Peace Development And Research Foundation while talking to the young students of Asian Academy of Film And Television on line.

“It is the families who bear the brunt of the crisis, sheltering their members from harm, caring for out-of-school children and, at the same time, continuing their work responsibilities,” added Dr. Marwah.

“No two families are alike. Your relatives may be loud and crazy, small and introspective, totally conventional, or completely unorthodox, but your family is yours. And, no matter what, your family makes up a huge part of who you are. Celebrate the ones who made you the person you are today. The only rock I know that stays steady, the only institution I know that works, is the family,” expressed Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

New Delhi: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) in association with AAFT University of Media And Arts conducted a webinar on the hot topic of Importance of Blog Writing.

“The best and most economical way of expressing your self is to start writing. To be successful in media you need to know three very important things, how to read, how to write and how to speak. Writing makes you feel confident. It converts you into a better administrator. It adds on to your skills. It improves your memory and definitely social skills,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI initiating the talks in webinar.

“It is very important to know that if you have writing skills, and you are a blogger you have better prospects in the industry. The employer will prefer you. Blogging can be hobby then can be changed into business. It helps you to upgrade your writing pattern. It is a stepping stone for you to be a publisher,” said Shivani Pandey blogger from Times of India.

“Blogging give you instant response since it is also interactive. It also provides you an opportunity to learn on the same subject from group of people. Since you have no sensor and check you can express better and whole-heartedly. That attracts more readers and your readers they have faith in your writing. No doubt you develop a powerful network through blogging,” said Pallavi Prakash blogger from almost twelve years.

“Blogging helps you to be available to the public and you cut down the long process of clearing the article before publishing in other cases. You can alter, correct, add, subtract your own article at any stage of time, even though it called published article, you have many restrictions of this kind in other mediums. It supports you to get into research then and there when you are actually writing for net,” added Anant Vijay senior journalist and blogger.

“Blogging creates new opportunities for you as you are instantly exposed to the World. It can bring you money if someone wants to lift your article to some other medium. It adds to your confidence and works as your pr relations. No doubt that you serving the society as writer and blogger. It adds to your creditability and you will be considered little different from others,” added Shivanand Dwiwedi senior journalist and blogger.

The session was attended by people from all strata of life and followed by question and answer. Dr. Sushil Bharti paid vote of thanks for the most informative interactions.

Mumbai: Mrigdeep Singh Lamba an alumnus of Asian Academy of Film And Television passed out with flying colors and was nominated as the best director of the batch. In return Director Sandeep Marwah presented him two films to direct. The first one was a short film on AAFT and another one was docu drama -A mud Island. A star was born.

Mrigdeep did his job perfectly and further was allotted five advertisement films from Marwah Studios, which were meant for Sahara group. Later he joined as assistant in the foreign unit that time shooting in Delhi narrated Mrigdeep to the young students of AAFT.

“You need to love your work. You have to prove your worth. First deserve and then desire that’s what we have learned from the institute. Do not waist your time, take best advantage of lockdown, Watch films, develop subjects, write synopsis, read books, watch television. There is no dearth of inputs today. Your story has to be exclusive. Think out of box,” added Mrigdeep in the Webinar.

Mrigdeep is one of the brightest talents in the Indian film industry today and has spent close to two decade in movie industry. His directorial venture,’Fukrey’ (2013), won millions of hearts across the country. Fukrey Returns, Teen They Bhai, Khandani Shafakhana and many others followed it.

“I am thankful to Prof. Sandeep Marwah for giving me an opportunity to prove myself,” thanked Mrigdeep emotionally.

New Delhi: World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day is an annual celebration of the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. World Red Cross Red Crescent Day is celebrated on 8 May each year. This date is the anniversary of the birth of Henry Dunant, who was born on 8 May 1828. He was the founder of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the recipient of the first Nobel Peace Prize.

“Programs conducted by the Red Cross Society can be broadly categorized into four parts including the promotion of humanitarian principles and values; disaster response; disaster preparedness; and health and care,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah while talking to the students on line as no event could be planned because of Covid 19.

“The Red Cross Society is based on 7 principles namely, humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary, unity and universality. They are also common with our aims and objectives of Scouts & Guides Organization as well as World Peace Development And Research Foundation,” added Dr. Marwah who is also representing as Chief Scout for India and President WPDRF.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been associated with Red Cross Society since 2012 and has been organizing blood camps since then. His film production company also produced few films for The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) few years back.

“Time has come when we have to give a smart & new look to many new films which can serve the purpose of powerful communication for Red Cross Society expressed Dr. Sandeep.

New Delhi: A powerful webinar was organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry on the current subject of Development New Policies in Post Covid-19 Period to be addressed by the Ambassadors of Vietnam and Armenia.

The effect of Covid-19 and lock down is not only physical but it has also hampered Human being mentally, spiritually and definitely economically. Millions of people have lost their jobs, most of the industries are on reverse gare, Tourism, Hospitality, Travel, Education, Automobile, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Retail industry are in a bad shape. Human nature and thinking also have changed in these sixty days,” initiated Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

“The earth had been encroached by Human being, probably It is a lesson to human from Mother Earth that enough is enough. The most of the industries have to take a new turn to plan and design different products and services with keeping in mind the new thinking which has developed during Covid-19,” said H.E. Armen Martirosyan Ambassador of Armenia to India appreciating role of Indian Government in supporting many nations during these international crises. Digitization is going to take over many industries he added.

“It a pleasure to express that Vietnam is the first country in the World which has come out of the clutches of Covid-19. 217 got infected and 214 recovered and no deaths so far. We have opened our economy and slowly coming back to normal. We have learned that we have to be independent in our supplies to feed the demands of our population as international trade will take a large time to be normal,” said Pham Sanh Chau Ambassador of Vietnam to India expressing that Vietnam is now going to promote internal tourism in big way.

Ashok Tyagi Secretary General ICMEI expressed his views in short and extended vote of thanks to the celebrity guests. The session was followed by question answers and many new points came on the table.

Fashion and Textile industry accounts for approximately 4% of the global T&A market. The T&A industry is one of the largest and the most important sectors for the Indian economy in terms of output, foreign exchange earnings and employment. The industry contributes approximately 7% to industrial output in value terms, 2% to the GDP and 15% to the country’s export earnings,” briefed Lali Sahni member ICMEI & renowned exporter from Noida

“T&A provides direct employment to over 45 million people but the nationwide lockdown has led to a temporary closure of factories and lay-offs have already begun among low wage workers,” added Varija Bajaj renowned fashion designer.

“There are many ways to keep your self busy as a designer. This is the best time to study the national and international fashion. You can even start preparing a range for march next year. Your deep research towards the upcoming requirements will get you a better business,” said Swati Modo renowned footwear designer.

“Plan your design books, convert them into digital and be ready for your digital shows as that is what now going to sell for the next few months or may be years,” suggested Rosy Ahluwalia popular designer at Oscar show from India.

Covid 19 has changed the thinking of human mind. Global trade is going to be restricted. Marriage functions will be hampered because of social distancing. Local fashion shows have been cancelled also. You have to be out of box to be in limelight. Those products will have demand which can be easily sold-out on line,” expressed Kirti Rathore designer from Rajasthan.

The designers took lots of interest in the student’s questions and all delivered satisfactory answers. Ritu Lal Director AAFT School of Fashion and Design conducted the program.

New Delhi: More than 100 delegates participated in the Webinar organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry on the topic- Effect of Covid 19 on Indian Cinema.

“Media and Entertainment Industry is the 6^th biggest industry in the country. We are touching now 2,35, 000 crore rupees turnover. It employees Ten million people and another ten million are connected through associated industries like hospitality, tourism, transport, engineering, fashion, design etc. We are the largest film industry of the World. 2600 Films are produced every year in 28 languages. 11000 theatres and 15 million audiences every day look for cinemas in theatres. Can you imagine we are in doldrums,” initiated Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

“We are loosing 150 crore rupees revenue every day and estimated loss may be by now is approximately 4000 crores. The real outlets of Indian Cinema that is theatres are now closed for almost 45 days. This has also delayed the release of many films,” said Pankuj Parashar renowned film director known for his films like Jalwa, Chaalbaaz, Banares.

“The fact is that there is no shooting and millions of people are sitting idle in hope. God knows when this whole pandemic is going to be over. Probably we have to live with it and adjust ourselves according to this emerging new situation,” added Shashi Ranjan well known actor, producer and director famous for Dhoom Dharaka, Dobara. Etc.

“Never ever something like this happened. We are all learning with situation. I am also worried for the daily wagers who are only connected to Indian Film Industry and they are in millions. The fact is there is no flow of money from any corner,” expressed Vimal Kumar film Director Ashiqui Dewangi, Rajajaji, Chotte Sarkar etc.

“We are hoping that things will improve by august or September and the hustle and bustle will start slowly and gradually in the main Hindi and regional cinema too. We still have to look for better ways of shooting in the most controlled manner,” said Sukhwant Dhadda director of film like Chooriyan, Ek Chadar Malli Si, Siyasat, etc.

“We are still taken aback by the situation. No one is dare enough to take a chance. Films in India are star based. If stars are not comfortable probably we all have to wait till that time,” added Atul Mohan editor Complete Cinema.

“I am ready to take the first step by finalizing small unit, after all the required covid 19 test. It has to be single location story with limited cast and crew. I am sure this will be a fruitful exercise,” added Ashok Tyagi Director of Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, Surkhiyan, Return of Jewel Thief.

New Delhi: On the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of the Father of Indian Cinema- Dada Saheb Phalke, AAFT University of Media And Arts announced the highest Academic Honour in Cinema in the shape of a Chair for a Film Maker at AAFT University based in Raipur.

“This is the most opportune occasion for the board of Directors of AAFT University to announce the Chair after the name of Dada Saheb Phalke for a renowned film maker for a period of one year, this is going to be the highest academic honour which can be presented to the film maker by the university,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of the University on the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Phalke.

He further added “We had earlier started the first ever Hindi Cinema Samman under Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh at Vigyan Bhawan, where prominent film personalities from Hindi Cinema were honored for their contribution to Hindi Cinema. Three editions of the most prestigious National awards have already taken place.”

AAFT has been in film, TV and media education for the last 27 years and has churned out 20,000 media professionals from 145 countries of the World. AAFT has created a wonderful niche for itself and has been rated as first ten best film schools of the World.

The new board comprising of Governors, Judges, Ministers and Educationists will decide the first name for the “Dada Saheb Phalke Chair” and will be announced soon. Powerful bodies like International Journalism Centre and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry have also supported the decision.

The idea has been conceived by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, who holds seven world records in Media, is the founder of Noida Film City and who has been titled as Global Cultural Minister for his untiring contribution to the promotion of arts and culture. Dr. Marwah has been honored many times in the past for promotion of art and culture.
