Sandeep Marwah Inaugurated Shivaargya Dance Presentation

New Delhi: “Work like you don’t need the money, love like you’ve never been hurt and dance like nobody’s watching you. We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Founder of Noida Film City at the inauguration of annual male classical dance presentation titled Shivaargya at Ganesa Natyalaya curated by Saroja Vaidyanathan at New Delhi.

“The dance can reveal everything mysterious that is hidden in music, and it has the additional merit of being human and palpable. Dancing is poetry with arms and legs,” added Dr. Marwah also the Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts appreciating the perfection of the dancers who all were participating in day long festival.

Saroja Vaidyanathan is a guru and a notable exponent of Bharatanatyam a prolific choreographer and has to her credit ten full-length balle and nearly two thousand individual Bharatanatyam items.

Saroja Vidyanathan has written a number of books on Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music including ‘The Classical Dances of India’, ‘Bharatanatyam – An In-Depth Study’, ‘Carnataka Sangeetham’, and ‘The Science of Bharatanatyam’.

Saroja was conferred the Padma Shri in 2002 and the Padma Bhushan in 2013 by the Government of India. Later Saroja presented a set of her books to Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Global Excellence Award In Journalism to Prominent Journalist

Noida: 8th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 honored some of the prominent journalist of the nation who have contributed a lot to this responsible profession during the three days of the festival at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

IJC Honored Global Excellence Awards at 8th GFJN to Journalists

This time special slot was carved out for AAFTians who have done well in journalism and were also presented with Global Excellence award. Ajay Dubey Documentary Filmmaker, Kumar Raviraj Sinha Producer National Herald, Aishvarya Jain, Senior Correspondent of News Nation, Shivang Mathur Special Correspondent at Dainik Jagran, and Shashank Yagnik Journalist with AajTak were honored.

“It was the most prestigious job for us to honor all those who have done extra ordinary well in journalism and proved a wonderful niche for themselves. International Journalism Centre salute all the people who are in this courageous profession,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah thanking the large audience applauded for the awardees.

Sandeep Marwah Inaugurated 16th Edition of IAWRT Film Festival

New Delhi: Renowned Film, television and media personality Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios inaugurated the 16th edition of the IAWRT Asian Women’s Film Festival from March 5 to March 7 in New Delhi.

Fifty-one films from 15 Asian countries, all directed by women filmmakers, will be screened at the festival includes films from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, Doha, Iran, India, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, Myanmar, Taiwan, UAE and Turkey.

“Held every year in the run up to the International Women’s Day on March 8 by IAWRT, in partnership with the India International Centre (IIC) and ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry-Marwah Studios, this non-competitive film festival has become a much sought after women-director-only festival in this region over the last 16 years,” said Nupur Basu, Managing Trustee, IAWRT, Chapter India.

“What a pleasure to be here with the most successful film makers and their creative works from all over the World. This festival is a glorious function during Women’s Day Week. I purpose radio and TV interviews of all the film makers present here on Radio Noida 107.4 Fm and MSTV so that many more should know about your achievements,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah while lighting the ceremonial lamp.

This year the festival team received over 700 submissions. The selection pans the entire genre – feature length documentary films, short fiction and documentary films, animation films, experimental films and the themes range from citizenship, identity, migration, mental health, climate change and coming of age of girls,

“ What women are looking at is not gender alone but there is a distinct cinematic language that many women filmmakers are defining that allows for the audience to see afresh” said Surabhi Sharma Festival Director and Priya Thuvassery, the Co-Director of this edition of the festival.

This year’s BAFTA winner for Best Short animated Film by London based Iranian filmmaker, Maryam Mohajer ‘Grandad was a romantic’ was shown at the inauguration.

Second Edition of Mahatma Gandhi National Award For Journalism at GFJN 2020

Noida: It was only last year when the management of International Journalism Centre constituted under the leadership of Dr. Prof. Sandeep Marwah Global Cultural Minister, first ever Mahatma Gandhi National Award For Journalism for all those who all have contributed immensely in the field of journalism to mark respect to 12th February, the international Day of Journalism.

On the final day of 8th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 five prominent personalities from the profession of journalism were honored in grand function from the international platform of Marwah Studios. P. K. Bajaj of Mayapuri, Kumkum Chadha of Hindustan Times, U. S. Sonthalia of Fame India, Arvind Kumar Singh and Ramesh Chandra of Zee TV were the recipients of this most prestigious National Award.

“I am much obelized for this award, this gesture has added a new energy into my system. I thank IJC for recognizing my efforts,” said P.K.Bajaj Publisher and Editor of the oldest film magazine Mayapuri.

“This is a total surprise to me. Now I feel my 40 years service to journalism years has been recognized. This is the best thing happened to me,” said Kumkum Chadha writer & senior journalist from Hindustan Times.

“Journalism is my passion. I always believe in positive journalism. This award is for my whole team who has been supporting me from years,” added U.S. Sonthalia publisher and Editor of Fame India.

“I have seen ample years in journalism. I worked in many national news papers . and ups and downs of journalism. Today I feel complete with this Mahatma Gandhi National Award,” said Arvinf Kumar Singh     from Rajya Sabha TV.

“Nothing is more encouraging and satisfying than recognition of your hard efforts. I am astonished with the size of award I have been honored with. I am feeling short of words in expressing my happiness, ”said Ramesh Chandra Senior journalism from Zee TV.

The event was attended by large number of filmmakers, journalists, students, and people from different strata of life from all over India and abroad.

Seminar on Challenges & Opportunities In Journalism at 8th GFJN

Noida: “We are lucky enough to run one of the best schools of journalism in the country with best of the facilities and industry support. The credit of announcing 12th February as International Day of Journalism goes to our association International Journalism Centre and we are the first one to start a journalism festival. New Delhi: The President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented Patron ship of Indo Cambodia Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI to H.E. Ung Sean Ambassador of Cambodia to India a the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in New Delhi.

“We have a powerful committee on Indo Cambodia relations and it is our privileged that H.E. Ung Sean has very kindly accepted to be the patron of the same. We are sure that we will be able to work much better and faster under his leadership,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah presenting the memento to the Ambassador.

29 Years of Marwah Studios Celebrated at Noida

Noida: Marwah Studios, the first professional studios of North India was inaugurated on 10th March 1991. The management celebrated its 29th year with great pomp and show at Noida Film City.

Seminar on Literature and Journalism at 8th GFJN

Noida: Third day of 8th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 saw many interesting events including seminar on Literature and journalism at Marwah Studios.

“When journalism is silenced, literature must speak. Because while journalism speaks with facts, literature speaks with truth,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University and initiated the discussion.

“Knowledge and command on language can make you a good writer. You can be a journalist or a book writer. What you write becomes history and then part of literature. Right well, right positive so that it can motivate many to come forward in life,” said H.E. Gonchig Ganbold writer & Ambassador of Mongolia to India while launching the book of Ramesh Mishra titled ‘Pratap Ki Gaatha’.

“There is a huge need of terrific writers to write stories and screen play for feature films and learned people with good command on speaking so that good and correct messages can be pass on to public,” said Vivek Agnihotri renowned film maker from Mumbai.

Seminar on Changing Scenario of Media at 8th GFJN

Noida: A seminar was organized to discuss the changing scenario of media in India with especially emphasis to print, television and social media during the 8th Global Festival of Journalism Noida at Marwah Studios.

“People were amazed when we started social media as part of the syllabus for the students of journalism few years back, no body realized that this medium will be the most popular and will involve anyone and everyone into its system,” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival and initiated the discussion.

Anil Pandey Senior Journalist, Shweta Jha Anchor Aaj Tak, Paresh Rughani International Motivational Speaker, Ali Adil Khan Editor Times of Pedia, Prof. Lallan Prasad Writer & Poet and Dr. Ali Javed President of All India Progressive Writers’ Association explained their point of views on the subject.
