ICMEI Greets Bhutan on Its National Day

New Delhi: “We are proud to be part of the Bhutan’s Progress in film, television and media. More than 40 students have been part of Asian Academy of Film And Television who all have been educated and learned here with us,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry on the National Day of Bhutan.

The most popular filmmaker Karma Tshering is also from AAFT added Marwah while congratulating the Ambassador of Bhutan to India H.E. Vetsop Namgyel,

National Day in Bhutan is celebrated on December 17, it commemorates the coronation of the first Druk Gyalpo (Dragon King) of modern Bhutan. Bhutan’s most significant national holiday is widely celebrated throughout the country.

10th International Festival of Cell Phone Cinema on 11th January

New Delhi: It is a great concept to make films with mobile phones. Ten years back Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios started this new wave in the World of Cinema and also started the first ever festival of cellphone cinema way back in 2006.

Sandeep Marwah and Prof. Karl Bardosh Master Professor at Kanbar Institute of Film & Television of Tisch School of Arts at New York University together made a film at Noida and New York to fulfill their desire to make a film on mobile. The concept was later accepted by the whole World.

The 10th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema is scheduled for 11th and 12th of January 2017 and has announced various awards and prizes for the participants.

Four categories of competitions including still photos, music videos, fiction and Electronic News Gathering have been announced. Any number of entries can be sent through mail.

Sandeep Marwah has been awarded many times for his unique and innovative ideas including the most prestigious award from Kanbar Film School of New York University, USA.

A special jury has been formed of experts and filmmakers to judge the four categories of entries for the competition. The first poster of 10th IFCPC launched here at Marwah Studios by Marwah and other dignities.

Noida Film City: “We have created a World Record by touching 86th Edition of our festival. There is no other festival in the World to reach to 86th edition so far” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studio at the inauguration of 86th AAFT Festival of short Digital Films at Marwah Studio.

“This is the only festival which has given opportunity to more than 2000 directors from all over the World to showcase their debut film in last 22 years” added Dean AAFT.

Some of the finest films during the festival were screened including ‘Taj Mahal –Crown of Earth’ directed by Aamir Naqvi, ‘Maa Ki Aankh’ by Hitesh Tandon, Bloody Red by Anjali, ‘Sunaina’ by Parvesh Saini, ‘Side Effects of Criticism’ by Alok Chaturvedi and ‘Masoom’ by Nikhil Kapoor

This is for the first time in the World where any film school has adapted a historical monument-A Wonder of The World as a part of its syllabus for making and studying cinema informed Marwah.

AAFT also celebrated its curtain raiser a day before where the H.E. Mentor Villagomez, Ambassador of The Republic of Ecuador in India released the poster of the festival. He was also accompanied by Dr. Patricio Garces, Head of political and cultural affairs, Embassy of Ecuador in India.

Dr A.K.Srivastava of ASMS, Ashok Tyagi of ICMEI, Kusum Jain renowned Sculpturist, young painters Lakshya Deora, Vipin Sharma, Divya Sharma and Rupendra Kaur also spoke on the occasion.

The event was powered by IFTC- International Film And Television Club and ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Noida Film City; It was only few people who attended the first AAFT Festival of Short Films in 1993—We never realized that we will be creating a World Record with this festival” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studio on the inauguration of 85th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films at Noida Film City.

“This is the only festival in the World to touch 85th Edition, happens every three months and given opportunity to 2000 young directors to showcase their debut films” added Dean AAFT.

“I have never heard of so much of film and television works from one single media house, its commendable,” said S.K.Goel financial consultant. All the guests appreciated the quality of cinema.

The festival was part of 3rd Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2015 supported by International Journalism Centre and ICMEI.

84th Festival Of Short Digital Films

“It has been a practice to amalgamate one of the four AAFT Festivals of Short Digital Films as a part of Global Film Festival Noida every year. This time 84th festival has been the part of GFFN” informed Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios.

“Short films are very important part of festivals. Every filmmaker starts his carrier from short films. They are the beginner’s paradise” said Mahesh Aney renowned cinematographer from Mumbai while inaugurating the festival.

84th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films is showcasing some of the best films of the year especially made during 83rd batch of Asian Academy of Film And Television” said Dean AAFT.

We will present certificate to all the film makers of AAFT whose films have been the part of the festival” thanked Ashok Tyagi Festival Director GFFN.
