Sandeep Marwah Honored Mukta Godse With GFFN Award

Noida: 8th Global Film Festival Noida 2015 is honored in presenting Global Cinema Award to Mukta Godse for her sincere contribution to cinema announced Ashok Tyagi Festival Director. Sandeep Marwah Festival President H.E. Milan Hovorka Ambassador of Czech Republic to India and H.E. Demetrios A. Theophylactou High Commissioner Cyprus handed over the award to her in the presence of huge crowd of film lovers at Marwah Studio, Noida Film City.

Mugdha Godse is an Indian actress and model who appears in Bollywood films. A former model, Godse was a semi-finalist at the Femina Miss India 2004 competition. She made her acting debut in Madhur Bhandarkar ‘s2008 film, Fashion. She was one of the judges in a Marathi reality show, Marathi Paul Padte Pudhe.

She has worked in films like All the Best Fun Begins, Jail, Help, Oh God Sare Hain Fraud, Gali Gali Chor Chor, Will You Marry Me, Heroin, Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, Satyagarh- Democracy Under Fire, Kaagaz Ke Fools, Bezuban Ishq and many more TV serials.

Special Show of Manjhi- The Mountain Man at 8th GFFN

Noida: A well acclaimed feature film Manjhi – The Mountain Man was the first film of 8th Global Film Festival Noida 2015 inaugurated by Mukesh Bhatt and ketan Mehta himself.

The feature film Manjhi is a 2015 Indian biographical film, based on the life of Dashrath Manjhi, widely known as the “Mountain Man”, was a poor labourer in Gehlaur village, near Gaya in Bihar, India, who carved a path 9.1 metres (30 ft) wide and 110 metres (360 ft) long through a hill 7.6 metres (25 ft) using only a hammer and chisel. Ketan Mehta, jointly produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, directs the film and NFDC India Upon release the film received positive critical acclaim.

“It is a proud moment for me to present my film as the first film of the festival. The film has already brought many laurels to India” said Ketan Mehta the director of the film.

“Film festivals are the ambassadors of the culture of the country. You exchange a lot through these films” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival. “It is a wonderful time for film lovers to enjoy the films in real film environment” added Mukesh Bhatt. Sculpture Exhibition of Kapil Kapoor at 8th GFFN

“Call him a child prodigy, an innovator or one of the finest artist in India,Kapil Kapoor has carved a niche for himself in the art world and is amongst the leading sculpture designers in India” Sandeep Marwah introduced Kapil Kapoor to the guest of 8th Global Film Festival Noida 2015 at the inauguration of exhibition at Noida Film City.

“Be it murals or sculptures, Kapoor’s installations are the master pieces that not only gives a reflection of innovation and reinvention of tribal art but also depicts a story in such a way that anyone can understand it” added Satish Anand of Asian Academy of Arts.

Mukesh Bhatt, Ketan Mehta, Mugdha Godse, Donal Bisht, Ashok Tyagi with International Guests – H.E. Milan Hovorka from the Czech Republic, H.E. Demetrios from Cyprus, Mongolian star Mungunzul Amgalanbaatar and the Polish photographer Henryk Pietkiewicz inaugurated the exhibition.

For over seven years of training and support by his family, Kapoor set off on his journey all alone to make something big and taking the family legacy forward. Mr. Hardy from France that taught him various techniques, academics and crafts.

Noida: The distinguished guest of 8th Global Film Festival Noida 2015 at Marwah Studio inaugurated an exhibition of photographs by Aman Chotani on the first day of the festival.

“The exhibition of photographs has reminded us the importance of still photography in Cinema. On every occasion we have still photography in our cinema activities write from muhurat shot to marketing” said Mukesh Bhatt inaugurating the exhibition.

Photographs are the everlasting memories. One picture is equal to 1000 words said Sandeep Marwah introducing the department of still photography to the guests present on the occasion.

Mukta Godse renowned film artist, Donal Bisth television actress and alumni of ASMS, H.E. Milan Hovorka Ambassador of Czech Republic to India, H.E. Demetrios A. Theophylactou High Commissioner Cyprus High Commission, Ketan Mehta renowned film director and festival director Ashok Tyagi were also present there at the inauguration.

Aman Chotani an alumnus of ASMS is a professional travel and adventure photographer based in New Delhi He began as an assistant to National Geographic Photographer Louis Kleynhans and after a year he ventured on out on his own. He quickly began exploring the world documenting travel, culture, and life and eventually moved back to New Delhi where he opened his own photographic studio.

The screening has been divided into 9 segments of foreign Cinema, Retrospective of Manmohan Desai, Indian Contemporary Cinema, Romania Focus Country, AAFT Films, ASMS Films, films on Disability, Children section and Competition films.

Noida: “Films and fashion go together, they are parallel lines of glamour business. We have decided to have three fashion shows on all the three days of 8th Global Film Festival Noida 2015” said Sandeep Marwah President of 8th GFFN.

Large preparations are on the floor to showcase three different fashion shows designed and execute by the team of Asian School of Fashion & Design. “ We have started our preparations with selected models-male and female and showcasing the product designed by our students in three fashion shows in the evening of all the three days of GFFN” informed Neelam Srivastava Associate Dean of Asian School of Fashion And Design.
