Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum Created at ICMEI

Noida: A new cultural committee under the name and banner of Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum was created on the auspicious day of 10th March -the foundation Day of Marwah Studios, by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry in association with High Commission of Guyana in India.

“This is much needed here to promote the art and culture of Guyana in India and Indian culture back in Guyana. We were looking for an association and nothing can be better than ICMEI,” said H.E. Charrandass Persaud High Commissioner of Guyana to India while releasing the first poster of Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum.

“We are very excited with the formation of new forum with the support of High Commission of Guyana in India. The people from the country of Guyana had been coming and attending our international conventions earlier also, where we learned that much more can be added after the formal launching of cultural forum and tie ups,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah was nominated as the Chair of Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum and H.E. Charrandass Persaud was presented with the patronship of the forum. A formal MOU will be signed in due course of time. The event was witnessed by H.E. Dr. Roger Gopaul High Commissioner of Trinidad & Tobago to India and Ria A Sital Charge d’ Affaires of Embassy of Suriname in India.

Charrandass Persaud Patron to Indo Guyana Cultural Forum

New Delhi: H.E. Charrandass Persaud High Commissioner of Guyana to India has been kind enough to accept the Patronship of newly formed organisation Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry in association with High Commission of Guyana in India.

“We are charged with new energy on the formation of Indo Guyana Films and Cultural Forum and acceptance of Patronship of Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum by H.E. Charrandass Persaud High Commissioner of Guyana to India. Under his leadership we will be able to bring better results a far as relation of two countries are concerned,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

H.E. Charrandass Persaud is a Canadian-Guyanese lawyer and politician, who is Guyana’s High Commissioner to India since March 2021. He was a member of the Guyanese National Assembly  from 2015 to 2018, representing the Alliance for Change  party in the East Berbice-Corentyne region

Sandeep Marwah Nominated Chair for Indo Guyana Cultural Forum

New Delhi: Sandeep Marwah Nominated Chair for Indo Guyana Cultural Forum. “We feel honored in nominating Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry. As the Chair of Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum, a newly constituted committee in the Chamber. To promote and develop relation between the two countries,” said H. E.  Charrandass Persaud High Commissioner of Guyana to India while presenting certificate of chairmanship to Dr. Marwah.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah Seven times World Record Holder is the Founder of Noida Film City. Still  Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts nominated by the Governor of Chhattisgarh, Government of Chhattisgarh. He is also the  National Chairman of Media and Entertainment Committee of BIS, Ministry of Consumer Affairs Government of India. He has recently been taken on the board of AICTE-Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah  has been elected unopposed President of CEGR- Centre for Education. Such as growth and Research- A National think tank on  higher education. He is also on the board of Film Federation of India an Apex body of film and Television of the country.

Biju Patnaik International Peace Award 2022 for Sandeep Marwah

New Delhi: International Peace Ambassador Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been honoured with prestigious Biju Patnaik International Peace Award 2022 for his untiring contribution to World Peace by Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste, MOS Rural Development and Steel of India, Government of India  and Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi Minister for Tourism & Culture from State of Orissa in a glittering function on the occasion of 106th Birth Anniversary of Great Indian Leader “Bhumi Putra Biju Patnaik” organised by AKS of  eminent Odissi Dancer Dr Chandana Raul at Triveni Kala Sangam.

AKS is one of the premier cultural institutions of the country engaged in the promotion and propagation of classical Indian performing Art forms in general and Odissi dance and Odissi music in particular.

CINTAA-ICMEI collaborate, strengthen ties with MoU

MUMBAI: The Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) have collaborated with each other for the fulfilment of their respective aims and objectives by signing a MoU on 26th February at 3 pm at the office of CINTAA in Andheri.

As per the agreement, ICMEI will provide office space to CINTAA at their premises located at Marwah Studio, Noida  to carry on its activities in the Delhi NCR and North India region.

CINTAA on its part will provide work permit cards to the diploma and degree holders in acting of Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT) and AAFT University on payment of applicable admission fee and annual charges.

Says Amit Behl, Hon General Secretary, CINTAA, “Due to the pandemic, a lot of our members and actors have relocated to other places, states that are offering subsidies. Hence this collaboration offers an alternate centre of member relief and also helps cleanse the ecosystem wherein producers, broadcasters and the media and entertainment industry benefit. It is two well-meaning organisations coming together at the right time. The MoU aims to strengthen ties and pave the way for a robust future.”

Ashok Tyagi, Secretary General of ICMEI averred, “it is a historic MOU which is relating CINTAA, which is an International association of actors with the AAFT University of Media and Arts through International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI). It is the recognition of the fact that acting is not merely a skill but also an academic art. The MOU will give the social recognition to the profession of acting which was long overdue to it.”

Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor, AAFT University of Media and Arts and Founder, Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida, said “We are proud to be associated with CINTAA. I am sure together we will be able to bring in massive changes in creative education and especially in acting. The input from CINTAA members is going to be the most authentic and full of experience. We invite members to visit and see for themselves how we are organised.”

Noida: World Wildlife Day Observed at AAFT.  World Wildlife Day is an opportunity to celebrate the many beautiful and varied forms of wild fauna. And flora and to raise awareness of the multitude of benefits that their conservation provides to people.

“In 2022, the theme is ‘Recovering key species for ecosystem restoration. ‘ The theme for 2022 seeks to raise awareness of the critically endangered. Species of flora and fauna in our ecosystems. With a view to generating and implementing workable solutions to conserve them,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism while conducting a seminar on the subject at Marwah Studios.

National Safety Day Observed at AAFT

Noida: National Safety Day Observed at AAFT. Observed every year on March 4, the National Safety Day was started by the National Safety Council. Still to increase the awareness of all the guidelines of safety measures. Including road safety, workplace safety, the safety of human health, as well as the environment.

A little time spent in making yourself more equipped with knowledge about the safety of every thing can  save you from losses of million rupees, health and life. We connected to 145 countries through our students and alumni, more than 60 countries have nominated us as their cultural representative in India. And we have left no stone unturned to develop and promote our relations with these countries,” added Dr. Marwah giving details. Of all the cultural activities of the University including Radio and Television station mentioning 7 World Records created in art and culture.

In the capacity of Chief Guest of the event, the Governor of Chhattisgarh H.E. Anusuiya Uikey mentioned and praised AAFT University, and its activities related to art and culture. She encouraged the educationists to involve Indian culture into regular studies and make courses more vibrant and colourful.
