New Delhi: Renowned film personality and educationist Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry honoured by H.E. Mrs Lineo Irene Mabusuela High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho to India at the High commission on the completion of three years of being chair of Indo Lesotho Film And Cultural Forum.

It is quite satisfactory with the progress we are making in the promotion and development of Indo Lesotho relations,” expressed H.E. “It is a pleasure to work for the kingdom of Lesotho. The beautiful country has a lot to offer to cinema and culture. We have been earlier appreciated by the office of Prime Minister of Lesotho. I am feeling elevated on receiving this appreciation. We have planned many events and a new post covid strategy to highlight Lesotho in India,” said Sandeep Marwah thanking the High Commission.

Lineo Irene Molise Mabusela Patron to Indo Lesotho Cultural Forum

New Delhi: ICMEI- Indo Lesotho Film And Cultural Forum has completed its three years of existence. In between these ample has been done. The Cultural Forum has taken the responsibility to popularize the country and its culture to its best in India.

Mrs Lineo obtained M.A. on Governance & Political Transformation in the University of the Free State (Republic of South Africa), Bachelor of Arts of Laws in University of Roma, Lesotho and the Certificate in Public International Law in Den Haag Netherlands.

Earlier She has been the Member of Parliament in National Assembly of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Deputy Minister in Ministry of Home Affairs, Public Safety & Parliamentary Affairs of the Kingdom of Lesotho, She was also Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Law and Public Safety at National Assembly Parliament of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Member of the Portfolio Committee on the Prime Minister’s Ministries and Departments Maseru of the Kingdom of Lesotho.

Webinar on Fake News at 9th Global Festival of Journalism

New Delhi: There is a bombardment of information from all over. It is sometimes difficult to handle so much of sound and visuals presented to you via digital and traditional media. In between you are also feed with fake news. It is important to know what fake news is all about. Any false or misleading content presented as news and communicated in formats spanning spoken, written, printed, electronic, and digital communication is called fake news,” explained Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios in a webinar on Fake News on the second day of 9th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2021

“The availability to express yourself on social media has raised the level of fake news be it a Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or blogs. You actually start believing in these news,” said Suniel Parashar senior journalist & PR Consultant.

“Fake news can reduce the impact of real news by competing with it. It also has the potential to undermine trust in serious media coverage The term has at times been used to cast doubt upon legitimate news,” added Anoop Bose Broadcaster &  Senior Lawyer of Supreme Court. “Fake News have no basis in fact, but are presented as being factually accurate. It also refers to stories that are fabricated that obtain little to no verifiable facts,” said Onkeshwar Pandey CEO & Editor in Chief New Observer Post.

Arvind Kumar Singh Senior Journalist Rajya Sabha Television identifies seven types of fake news-satire or parody, false connection, misleading content, false context, impostor content, made-up sources, manipulated content and fabricated content. Rajesh Badal  Senior Journalist and advisor in many organizations spoke of information pollution and distinguishes between three types of problems: ‘mis-information’, ‘dis-information’, and ‘mal-information.

Sunil Dang former Member of Press Council of India and CEO Day After Magazine suggested that you must Consider the source, read beyond the headline, check the authors, assess the supporting sources, check the date of publication, ask if it is a joke, ask experts and that will reduce the chances of fake news in the publications.

“Fake news and disinformation is spread all over social media, such as Twitter, every day. More than 6.6 million tweets linking to fake and conspiracy news publishers around the 2016 campaign. However many fake news stories do not follow the pattern. Organized blocks or accounts coordinate to create a longer lifecycle for this fake news information,” added Meena K Iyer Film Critic and Journalist.

Sandeep Marwah Renominated on the Board of Film Federation of India

Mumbai: Renowned film producer of short films Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts, the first film university of the Country, has been renominated to the executive body of Film Federation of India -the mother body of Cinema in the country.

Sandeep Marwah has created seven World records in films, television and media. He is the founder of Noida Film City and trainer to 19000 media professionals hailing from 145 countries of the World. Marwah has been honoured with honorary doctorates many times from different Universities. He has also been titled Best Citizen of India by The Scouts Guides Organization. Recently he has been appointed as National Chairman of Media And Entertainment Committee of BIS Ministry of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Government of India.

Shri S. Thanu from South India is the new President of Film Federation of India. Shri Firdausul Hasan, Shri C. Kalyan, Shri T. P. Aggarwal, Shri L. Suresh, Shri Nitin N. Datar, Shri N. M. Great Grand Opening of Radio Raipur on World Radio Day

Raipur: One of the biggest achievements of 9th Global Festival of Journalism 2021 is the launching of new radio station under the name and title of radioraipur.fm on the second day of the festival -13th February, celebrated as World Radio Day.

“We are fulfilling our commitment to the state of Chhattisgarh, Republic of India by launching Radio raipur.fm, as it was decided last year that this new Radio Station will be launched on World Radio Day i.e., 13th February, and will provide enough information, education and entertainment to the people of the state in particular and rest of the country in general, so the action has taken place. I am thankful to the complete staff and administration of Marwah Studios in supporting my decision,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios while introducing the program.

“It is my proud privilege to inaugurate the new powerful radio station today online from Mumbai for a station in Raipur whereas mastered and controlled by Delhi and Noida. This is what pandemic has taught us to work from different places at the same time. Citizen Journalist Awards to 21 Women on International Journalism Day

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah seven times World Record Holder is the only media person to be nominated Chancellor of the media & Arts University, Chief Scout For India and National Chairperson of media & Entertainment upgradation Committee of Government of India in Ministry of Consumer Welfare and Public Distribution.

9th Global Festival Discussed Prospects of Print and TV Journalism

Noida: India is the only country where in this age of digitization new Newspapers have been given license to publish in different languages. Yes the literacy is increasing in India which is a good sign. On the other hand, many newspapers had to see the dark side of the moon and closed down. 9th Global Festival of Journalism Inaugurated on International Journalism Day
