Celebrated filmmaker and Joint Director Asian School of media Studies Ashok Tyagi has predicted that Delhi is all set to become the next filmmaking centre for Bollywood directors.
Tygai, himself a successful director of films like Surkhiyan, Return Of Jewel Thief and Bharat Bhagya Vidhata discussed and debate the potential of the national capital in becoming an ideal setting for shooting at a workshop: ‘Delhi, the Next Bollywood’ conducted during the fourth Global Film Festival, Noida 2011 organised at Marwah Studios.
Sandeep Marwah, President of the festival said that his studios are already being used by Bollywood directors and production companies for last two decades and he is ready to provide any other facilities required.
Ashok Tyagi elaborated to a packed workshop that Delhi monuments like Humayun’s Tomb, gardens like Lodi and havelis of Chandni Chowk have already been extensively used in Hindi films. He said the historical and modern ambience of Delhi provide a perfect backdrop the film makers.

Former member Parliament and renowned editor of a popular new paper Chowthi Dunya Santosh Bhartiya narrated the path from print to electronic media in a workshop conducted during the fourth Global Film Festival, Noida 2011.
Inaugurating the workshop, festival President Sandeep Marwah emphasized the need of writing skills for all those who want to maintain high standards in the field of media either the print or the electronic. “Equal emphasis and right balance is maintained between print and electronic media at Asian School of Media Studies while providing education” Marwah added.
Bhartiya who himself has undertaken this journey shared his experiences and fielded questions from a jam packed studio in the workshop. It was an interactive drill and the festival delegates cleared many myths and notions.
Bhartiya was of the opinion that print is the mother of all media and shifting to electronic was a natural process and an institution like Marwah Studios was ideally suited for this education.

Students of all the media schools of Asian Education Group including Asian School Of Communication, Asian School Of Media Studies, Asian Business School and Asian Academy Of Film And Television decided to fight against corruption activities in India on the Anti Corruption Day as decided by the United Nation.
Talking about United Nation Information Centre (UNIC), the President of the Group Sandeep Marwah motivated students to change their attitude and aptitude towards life. “I want all of you to be successful, and that is only possible when you are truthful to your work and your profession” said Marwah.
“On this International Anti-Corruption Day, let us all do our part to foster ethical practices, safeguard trust and ensure no diversion of the precious resources needed for our shared work for development and peace” message of the secretary General Of United Nation was read in the meeting. Later students spoke their minds and addressed to the audience.

Rajat Arora passed out of Asian Academy Of Film And Television, Noida who has written the script for Vidya Balan’s latest venture ‘The Dirty Picture’ has also penned the lyrics of the songs in the film.
Rajat Arora always wanted to pursue a career as a lyrics writer. “It was very nice of Vishal-Shekhar to give me a chance to write the lyrics too. When I came to Mumbai I wanted to write lyrics,” says Arora, who has also written the script of Taxi No9 2 11(2006), Chandni Chowk To China (2009) and Once Upon A Time in Mumbai (2010).
“Because I have written the scripts so writing lyrics was a natural progression as I knew the characters, their feelings and situations so well,” he adds.
”we here at AAFT feel proud of Rajat’s super performance as story, script and lyrics writer” said Sandeep Marwah Director of Asian Academy of Film And TV. The film also stars Tushar Kapoor, Emran Hasmi and Naseeruddin Shah.

The institution has more than 20 supporting national and international organizations where students get extra ordinary international exposure as journalist. This includes International Film And Television Club, International Film And Television Research Centre, International Children Film Forum, International Public Broadcasting Forum and others.
The regular degree courses along with diploma makes the whole course practical at every stage of teaching. The tutoring is supported by value edition by workshops, seminars, visits, guest faculty from all over India and abroad.
The students get hands on training in producing and directing news, interviews, ENGs, EFPs, Documentaries and participate in national and international events.

“Today’s Volunteers are the tomorrows Leaders” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios on the occasion of International Volunteer Day celebrated with great pomp and show along with the students of Asian Academy Of Film And Television, Asian School Of Media Studies, Asian Business School and Asian School Of Communication in association with (UNIC) United Nation Information Centre.

Talking about his school and college days Marwah expressed his desire that all students should take up the volunteers work to its maximum to have life time experience in every field they are guided by the institution. Each and every participation in social and cultural activity will lead to better training and leadership qualities.

International Volunteer Day (IVD) – December 5 is an international observance designated by the United Nations since 1985. The declared aim of this activity is to thank the volunteers for their efforts and increase public awareness on their contribution to society. The day is celebrated in majority countries of the world.

Later R.K.Singh Additional Director ASMS along with member of the academic council Avinash Singh distributed certificates to all those who contributed to International Sufi Festival organised by Marwah Studios at Ajmer.

“It is our humble duty to look after all those who have not been provided the normal life by the almighty” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Patron to organizations like ‘Praytn’ and WECARE Film festival. “Give them ample opportunity to live a normal life along with you” Marwah added while launching 9th edition of WECARE Film festival on International Disability Day at AAFT.
WECARE film festival is the only moving festival of films on disability in the World curated by Satish Kapoor and Marwah nine years back. This year the 8th festival was taken to 68 locations in the country.
We have left no stone unturned and put our best to highlight the subject of disability to sensitized the people of this country” said Satish Kapoor Director of the festival and Brotherhood, a NGO. Dr. R.K. Sharma on UNIC read the message of the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
The festival is supported by United Nation Information Centre, National Trust Government of India and Asian Academy Of Film And Television. The new entries are invited from all over the World in different categories to participate in this moving festival.

Talking to the young generation and recently passed out students of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College Sandeep Marwah said, “I am proud of my college, it has given me all that what I was looking for my development.” Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios was attending the second Annual General Meeting of Alumni Association at the college premises.
The meeting was attended by more than 100 ex students out of 138 students registered with the association informed the General Secretary Harinder Singh of Price Waterhouse. The president G.Gehani of PSL Limited read and presented the annual report of the organization. Others who were present there included Pankaj Rakesh of Asian School Of Communication and Dr. Ajay Jain of Juris Prudent.
Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC) was founded in 1973 and is part of University of Delhi. It is named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh an Indian freedom fighter who believed strongly in social justice. The College is considered as one of the best colleges that provide education in the field of Commerce and Arts and has been ranked at 21 for the best commerce colleges in India in 2011 as per India Today Survey group. Dr. Gulshan Kapoor is the Principal of the college.

“It was shocking and difficult to accept the sad news of a jolly good fellow Ken Russell” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Cultural Ambassador of Wales in India on the passing of renowned British Film Director.
It was not long ago when Sandeep Marwah was invited to Cardiff-Wales as a state guest by Wales Creative and Wales business where he was honored by the minister which was followed by a lavish and glamorous lunch hosted by Ken Russell in Marwah’s honour.
“Our long discussions and interaction on Cinema and exchange programs have already taken place in India. Ken Russell was quite keen in visiting India once again to promote India Wales relationship” Marwah added while talking to the press.
Ken Russell is best known for his Oscar winning film Women in Love (1969), The Devils (1971), The Who’s Tommy (1975), and the science fiction film Altered States (1980). Classical musicians and conductors held him in high regard for his story-driven biopics of various composers, most famously Elgar, Delius, Liszt, Mahler and Tchaikovsky

“Today we have lost our legend film maker physically but he is going to live for ever on this earth for all that what he has given back to the field of entertainment” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios-a creative enterprises while extended his condolences on behalf of 10,000 media professionals to the Anand family on the passing away of 88 year old actor, producer director.
Dev Anand has produced 35 feature films and has given 65 years of his life to entertainment industry. Migrated from Lahore to Bombay Dev Sahib had to struggle for two years for his first film project. Known for his typical styles Dev Anand was a super hero of Indian Film Industry, recipient of Dada Sahib Phalke Award, 9 times Film Fare Awards, Padam Bhushan and many others.
“Some of the films Dev Anand has produced under his banner Navketan Films are learning chapters for forthcoming film makers” added Sandeep Marwah “We cannot forget his visit to Asian Academy Of Film And Television- it was Deepawali for all of us” remembered Marwah.
