74TH Batch Of Asian Academy Inaugurated

“Traditional and innovative education in a state of art centre blended with World culture can only produce genius and intelligent students, and AAFT is doing the same” said Dr.Davendra Pathak, Vice Chancellor of Venkeshwar University while inaugurating the 74th batch of Asian Academy Of Film And Television at Noida Film City.
“We have achieved a lot but ample is yet to achieve. Our 74th batch is now taking us to Platinum Jubilee in next three months” added Sandeep Marwah the president of the Academy who exhorted the students to make best use of this opportunity bestowed to them.
Present on the occasion Prof. Karl Bardosh the master professor in Tisch School Of Arts at New York University told students that they have become a part of the long tradition of creative media and entertainment and bright future awaits them.
Pakistani music artist Shahrukh Shiekh said he was elated to witness a history in the making at the 74th session of a media school something which is unheard of in this part of the world.

Poetry collection ‘ Armaan’ released at Mrawah Studios

A Sensitively written poetry anthology by Poonam Matia was released at Marwah Studios in the presence of noted poets and educationists.

Speaking on the occasion President Sandeep Marwah said these poems are the product of a creative mind and fretold chronicle of an important signature in the realm of literature. This release is yet another initiativeof the Academy of Arts instituted under the aegis of Asian School of media Studies to promote creative writing and publishing.
Noted satirist Prof. Alok Puranik found the echoes of a keen observer and an intense translator of the vagaries of life. Poet Anuj from Champaran who met the poetess on Facebook said this is a culmination of tradition and modernity.
This is the second collection. This frist Swapan Shrinagar was published last year. The new anthology has 88 pages containing 85 Poems.

Take Best Advantage Of New Media-Sandeep Marwah

“The new media has taken over all the other four mediums of media, whether it is print, Radio, Television or cinema. All of them have become part of new media” said Sandeep Marwah addressing to the large media persons and audience from different colleges in a seminar organized by Newspapers Association Of India at Gandhi Peace Foundation Delhi.
‘The use of internet and mobile has become our habit and now nature. This is the first time that people of all age taking best advantage of new media’ added Marwah giving many case studies and instances as supporting examples to his talk.

Film Federation Of India Will Support 5th IFCC

“There is huge requirement of new ideas in the industry, we are looking for the new subjects and festival like this at least can bring new ideas to lime light” said T.P.Agarwal President Film Federation Of India the apex film body in India while confirming FFI participation at 5th International Festival Of Cellphone Cinema.
IFCC has been planned for 19th, 20th and 21st of January where seminar, workshop and screening has been planed and young film makers are invited to participate from all over India and abroad.
IFCC was started by Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Studios in association with Karl Bardosh film director-educator of New York University six years back when first fiction was shot on mobile by Marwah Films And Video Production at Noida during Karl’s visit to India.
“We are first one in Asia to start this kind of unique exercise, which has now picked up in many countries of the World” said Sandeep Marwah. “I am thankful to FFI for appreciating our efforts” Marwah added.

Contemporary art of Bengal on display at MEC gallery

Paintings by the Kolkata-based painter Chandrashekhar Acharya are on the display at the MEC Art gallery in Khan Market in collaboration with Asian Academy of Film and Television.

Inaugurating the exhibition, art connoisseur Atul Marwah said that the stirrings of traditional visual art and literature have been inherent in the contemporary art of Bengal . MEC Art Gallery has a long tradition of hosting the great artists in a wide ranging spectrum.

Allegory plays a vital role in Acharya’s paintings. He creates a harmony, an idiosyncratic tapestry of form, palette and composition drawn from these shared conscious and unconscious themes.

Sandeep Marwah Chairs Media And Entertainment At PHDCCI-2012

With the finalization of new management committee at the 107 year old PHD Chamber of Commerce And Industry, Sandeep Marwah The President of Marwah Studios has taken over as the Chairperson of Media and Entertainment Committee for the year 2012
informed Susmita Shekhar the Secretary General of the Chamber.
Sandeep Marwah an international film, TV and media personality who has created five international records in media and has been the founder of Noida film City and many media organizations including Asian Academy Of Film And Television the pioneer film school of the country.
“I am so honored and thankful to the management committee of PHDCCI for bestowing upon me this responsibility, I will give my best for the promotion of the industry” said Sandeep Marwah while accepting the official appointment.
The newly elected President of the Chamber Sanndip Somany congratulated Marwah on his taking over as the Chairperson of M&EC.

National Media Award For Asian Academy Of Film And Television

Asian Academy Of Film And Television AAFT) has been adjudged as the best film and television institute in the country. The film school has churned out 10,000 media professionals from 84 countries of the World in last 19 years.
Ekta Kapoor’s The Dirty Picture has been named best picture, while Vidya Balan has been adjudged best actress for the same film at The Eighteenth National Media Network Film and TV awards.
The awards, instituted by National Media Network and Akhil Bharatiya Swatantra Patrakar Avom Lekhak Sangh, an association of freelance journalists and writers, will be given on January 21 here where TV czarina Ekta will also be honoured for being a successful film and TV producer in Indian film and TV industry.
On the other hand, Ajay Devgn has been named the best actor for Rohit Shetty’s Singham, while Farhan Akhtar will be conferred with best director award for Don 2 – The King Is Back. The hero of all-time hit award goes to actor Anil Kapoor. NDTV has been named the best Hindi news channel.
Filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, veteran lyricist Gulzar and TP Aggarwal, chairman, Film Federation of India will be given lifetime achievement awards, according to Daya Nand Vats, general secretary of the Sangh.

Ustad Eltaf Hussain Sarahang son of Ustad Mohammad Hussain Sarahang represents the best in the Indo Afghan tradition of vocal classical music. Born in Kabul he learned his classical music from his grand father Ustad Gulam Hussain and his father. He has also been trained by Ustad Amanat Ali Khan and Ustad Fateh Ali Khan from Pakistan and Ustad Abdul Rehman Khan of Bombay.
Ustad Eltaf Hussain started his carrier from the court of King Zahir Shah of Afghanistan as Royal Musician. He taught music at Kabul University, had been a director classical and ethnic music at Radio Kabul and Television Afghanistan. He has been a member of world renowned International Film And Television Research Centre of Asian Academy Of Film And Television.
“My relationship with India is as old as my Grand Father, as we have never differentiated the music between the two countries” said Eltaf Hussain.

The doyens of Hindi literature were pleasantly surprised at the creative ambience at Marwah Studios which produced the first ever Hindi novel “Sattais Sapno ka Desh for the first time by a media teacher.
Speaking at the release function of the maiden novel by Sushil Bharti, the President Sandeep Marwah said that the institution has encouraged creativity in the four streams including cinema, electronic media, mass media and multi media. This was the motivation behind the establishment of Asian academy of arts under the auspicious of Asian school of media studies,. he reiterated that AAA will be producing witty eleven more books this year’s under a tripartite scheme among the author the publisher and Marwah Studios.

Father Of The Nation Remembered At Mahatma Gandhi Forum

Raghupati Ragav Raja Ram, Pati Te Pawan Sita Ram’ chanting changed the whole environment in the auditorium at Marwah Studios, film city Noida in a program jointly organized by Mahatma Gandhi Forum and World Peace Development and Research Foundation to remember late Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi-the father of the nation.

The management of Asian Education Group announced ‘Sheela Marwah Scholarship’ for the deserving girl students on the occasion as it is also the death anniversary of Smt. Sheela Marwah. The event was supported by International Children’s Film Forum and International Public Broadcasting Forum. Marwah also announced the making of short films on the principals of Gandhi and a large collection of books at Sewa Ram Library at the campus.
