Japanese Delegation At Marwah Studios

“We are happy to develop our relation with Marwah Studios which is one stop shop for all arts and culture in India whether it is films, Television, Media, or any of the performing and fine arts.” said Kojiro Uchiyama Director of Japan Information Centre, Embassy of Japan in New Delhi who has been associated earlier with Japanese Film Festival organized by AAFT.
This time it was a unique program brought to India by Tao , an artist specializing in sketching and painting portraits in no time with Japanese culture as its base. “I am feeling proud to be here in India and part of this organization where I could contribute to the Indo Japan friendship” said Yuka Tao a renowned artist from Japan.
Kurahashi Yuka of International Relation Bureau, Fukuoka Prefactural Government and Masahiro Nagira from Embassy of Japan were also present there. Zoomi a Japanese film maker and now editor at Asian School of Media Studies welcomed the International guest.
Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios proposed one minute silence for all those who lost their life in the disaster in Japan. Later Marwah handed over the membership of International Film And Television Club to all the guest from Japan. The program was supported by Asian Academy of Arts and Radio Noida.

Asian Academy of Arts Invited Publishers To Come Forward

“Its commendable that today Atma Ram And Sons completing 100 years of Publication, they have added to the history of India and publication world a collection of unique and incomparable books” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chairperson of Asian Academy of Arts while handing over memento to Sheel Puri of AR &Sons at the annual publisher’s meet organized by Rashtriya Parkashak Sang.
“Asian Academy of Arts was launched during the visit of Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navaratte at AAFT to promote all fine arts with special emphasis to writing” said Om Gupta Dean Writing AAA. “Today’s seminar on publication and publishers meet will help us in developing more writing material from the House of Marwahs, a creative enterprise” Gupta added. Academy of Arts also had a round table with the prominent writers of India recently.
An annual award of Rs 21000/- after the name of the father of Yogendra Pal of Sahitya Prakashan was announced during the session for the best Novel written and submitted as first entry by new writer. Others who expressed their views were renowned hindi editor Raj Kumar Gautam and Sukhpal Gupta of Arya Book Depot. Marwah offered a special weekly radio program for the publishers to highlight their prestigious publications on Radio Noida 107.4FM.

Visual Media Is The Most Effective Medium-Surya Shukla

“The visual medium is the most effective medium of mass communication because you hear, you see and your emotions get attached to it, the effect is bound to come when you see a film” said Surya Kumar Shukla the Additional Director General Police Traffic on the release of a promotional film on traffic produced by Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.
“We have production department and would like to make more films like this so that the traffic of the state can be improved, I am sure this film will play a vital role in short period of time” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios welcoming the film makers and guest from police department.
“We will distribute this film to all our department, cinema halls of UP, the traffic rule braker s, schools and colleges so that maximum awareness can be created about traffic rules” Surya K Shukla added. Explaining about the film Sushil Bharti the director of the film and HOD Television Asian School of Media Studies congratulated all the 25 participants and media students for their efforts who were given a certificate as token of appreciation.
It is hard to know that 14400 people died in UP last year because of road accident and around 20000 got injured on the road. City like Noida have only 125 traffic police which is not even quarter of the actual present requirement informed Surya K Shukla. Later Sandeep Marwah presented a membership of International Film And Television Club to Surya Kumar Shukla and Avdesh Singh Vijeta SP Traffic Noida present on the occasion. Youth Program Young Beats Inaugurated At Radio Noida

Radio Noida 107.4 FM was inaugurated in 2009 November during the second Global Film Festival by the great music directors Sajid Wajid from Mumbai who later accepted to be the brand ambassador for the Radio Noida too. The radio station started with 2 hours of program and now it has been broadcasting 14 hours a day.
The powerful programs are listening by the highly populated areas of Noida, Delhi, Faridabad and Ghaziabad cities. Radio Noida has been rated as one of the most successful transmitting station in India as Community Radio.
To make all social programs relevant and to raise the level of listener ship another interesting step has been added to the daily program and that is going to be called Young Beats. This program is going to be conducted by the students of Asian Academy of Film and Television, Asian Business School and Asian School of Media Studies.
“I am pleased to start this program as I want my students should learn everything about radio before they leave this institution” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. The inauguration was done by renowned media persons including Sanjeev Sood, Poonam Surin, Vivek Mittal, Amit Jani and Rohit Sardana.

Sandeep Marwah Honored By Paridhi For Art Promotion

It has been more than 25 years that Sandeep Marwah has been promoting art and culture in India. It all started with theatre-dance & drama with Drama Club, Music & singing through Mehak Aur Ghazal a music group, Painting and Sculpture through Art Gallery and then film, television and media through his Marwah Studios and radio Noida said Nirmal Vaid president of Paridhi a 25 year old cultural organization in the country.
“Paridhi is honored in handing over this award to Sandeep Marwah for his untiring efforts to encourage and persuade arts in the country Not only that he is involved in these arts he has gone out of way to promote many young and talented artist from all over India and abroad in fine arts through Asian Academy of Arts” added Pankaj Narayan the General secretary of the organization.
It was another event organized by Paridhi at Habitat Centre on the occasion of popular festival of Holi. The musical evening by Dr Sangita Gaur motivated audience to participate in the event whole heartedly. Her electrifying performance of singing Holi numbers changed the whole environment in few minutes. Later Marwah has been invited to join the advisory board of Paridhi.

Acting Workshop At Bhutan By AAFT

Asian Academy of Film And Television (AAFT), Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industries in association with Department of Human Resource and Labour, Govt of Bhutan had organized a week long workshop on film acting to promote the young talents of Bhutan in the field of Film & TV industry. Mila Tobgyal of Mila communications was the coordinator of this workshop.
“Participants were selected from all over Bhutan. There were 31 participants, 12 females & 19 males in the workshop. The workshop on film acting was conducted at BCCI, Thimphu, Bhutan” informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director AAFT.
Sonam Rincheh, Director, Human Resource, Ministry of Labour & Human Resource, Govt. of Bhutan was the chief Guest who also inaugurated the workshop. Chhimi Dorjee, Director Human Resource, BCCI, Sherab, Secretary, Motion Pictures Association of Bhutan (MPAB) and other officers of BCCI were also present on this occasion.

AAFT Joins Hand With Global Yog Week 17th -21st April

The Global Yog Week has been now fixed for 17th to 21st April 2011 at New Delhi to be organized by Global Yog Alliance in association with World Religious Parliament and Asian Academy of Film And Television informed Dr. Gopalji the Chairperson of Global Yog Alliance an international federation of Yoga.
“It is our proud privileged to be part of this international event where more than 100 delegates are joining from more than 20 countries of the World to discuss Yog, Religion and Media” said Sandeep Marwah who has been designated as International Media Guru and will have the honor to share dice with other religious Gurus of the World.
The secretary General of World Religious Parliament Acharya Satinder informed that countries like Portugal, Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Argentina, Brazil and others have already confirm their participation for the Global Yog Week. The formal inauguration of the Yog Week will be on 18th April 2011.
The event will consists of workshops, seminars, symposiums, interactions, performances at Talkatora Stadium and includes visit to Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

ASMS Planned Photographic Trip to Jodhpur and Jaisalmer

Following the Photographic trip to Agra and Bharatpur, and in continuation with Marwah Studios plans to edit a coffee table book, and the photographic classes of the new Dean International, Prof. Joao Ponces de Carvalho, a photographic trip was organized on the 2th to the 31st of January.
Again Students from MSC of the Asian School of Media Studies where invited, and this time, Amit Kumar Thapliyal, Muhammad Aasim Qamar MsC.Direction. and Ashish Singh Bisht, from MsC( Mass Media), constituted the group. Some of his photographs illustrate this article
The illustrating pictures are from the students. Their quality proves their achievement and mature artistic qualities Again on a hard and schedule, to profit the most from the trip, many places were visited and photographed extensively, profiting the good season and fantastic weather.
This was a most rewarding experience, both Academic and professionalizing, and we plan to conduct more of these open air workshops in the future, with selected students, but also members of the Teaching Staff. Much more can be learned in real life situations than in theoretical lessons, and it is a real privilege Marwah Studios can provide these experiences both for the Staff and the Students.
Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and Director ASMS expressed his desire to bring Still Photographic Department to International level. Next trip will be beginning of March, after the exams, to Gwalior and Kajuharo Temples. Again, 3 students will be invited.

Organizations Are Needed To Take -up Issues Of Special Children

“I am happy that I am associated with Prayatn, and could do something for the special Children who need more attention and care by the society” said Sandeep Marwah while handing over the certificates of participation to all the children and teachers of Prayatn at during the time of 3rd Global Film festival Noida 2010 at Marwah Studios, Film City.

Prayatn – Bhawani educational and children care society is a social voluntary non-profit making registered organisation established in 1999, which is jointly and enthusiastically working nationwide for the upliftment of the deprived disabled, underprivileged and BPL children / people who are considered as a perpetual curse by their own kith and kin and then by the society.
”No problem in the world can reach a solution till the people are aware of it. The number of disabled and underprivileged / BPL children in India has come to an alarming figure today for the cause of Children” said Brijesh Kumar who is running the society.

“A child with mental retardation, cerebral palsy or autism may not overcome the challenges through medical treatment only .Each child has distinct needs and thus requires an appropriate management plan as per his / her actual needs. One needs to help these children by creating a change in their behavior by way of imparting special education / training fit for each of them on Individualized Educational Programmed” Marwah added. “We need more people and organizations to come forward and take up the cause” condensed Marwah who is also the Patron of Prayatn.

69th Festival of Short Digital Films At AAFT

“Festival Of Short Digital Films at Asian Academy of Film and Television has emerged now the oldest film festival of short films in India” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and Chairperson of International Film And Television Club. ”Its been 18 years we have been conducting this festival, this is probably the only film event in the World which happens every three months” Marwah added while introducing the formation of IFTC 18 years back to support film, TV and Media education.
The films made during the 69th batch of AAFT have been showcased in this festival. The most prominent films were MR.IRRESISTABLE directed by Frode Schlichting, FREEDOM directed by Ugo Ben, BORN TO DIE by Roshini Basu, PLAYGROUND by Mariam Abdalla, THE WAY IT WAS SEEN by Robin Chackho and MIND SET by Moti P Sutar
“It reminds me of my days at FTII, but the kind of facilities AAFT is proving you, the students can grow to any heights” said Sanjeev Sood renowned cinematographer and Director. “I am impressed by the functioning of this institution which no less than any best film schools of the World” said Vivek Mittal an educationist, Chairperson of a Foundation.“I am ready to contribute to my best to Radio Noida 107.4FM, a full fledged station in this campus” expressed Poonam Surin a senior Radio Producer Director from AIR.
“You are lucky that everything has been planned on platter, take best use of this time” motivated Amit Jani a youth leader. “Film making to film festivals don’t happen in any film school, I miss this school, I want to support every activity of this institute which is like a University in its self” emotionally explained Rohit Sardana of Zee News.
The show was supported by International Film And Television Research Centre, International Public Broadcasting Forum, International Children’s Film Forum and Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru Forum. The show attended by huge gathering of film, TV and media professionals and students. Prof R.K. Singh also spoke on the occasion.
