Workshop By Sai Paranjpye At Global Film Festival

The renowned film maker Sai Paranjpye popularly known for her contribution to Children’s Cinema including films like The Little Tea Shop , Jadu Ka Shankh ,Begaar , Sikander , Sparsh , Chasme Buddoor , Katha , Ados Pados , Angootha Chhaap , Disha , Chooriyan , Saaz , Bhago Bhoot , Chaka Chak , Suee was invited by International Film And Television Club to have workshop with the film makers at 3rd Global Film Festival Noida
She has been National Award Winner for her film Sparsh for best Screen Play in the year 1980 and Film for social issues Choodiyan in 1993. She has also been recipient of Film Fare Awards.
Sai Paranjpye read her well prepared paper on children’s film. Talking to the Cinema audience and answering to the different questions she confessed that it is difficult today to sell children’s subject without stars and with stars it is unviable that is why she has stopped making movies. Reality is that market for Children’s films is untapped. A middle path has to be adopted.
Sandeep Marwah suggested that, “ time has come when we have to widen the horizon of so called Children’s film .It can be with children and also on the issues of children like Tare Zameen Pe, Mr India, etc which are super hit films”
Khalid Mohamed said, “No body asks for script for children’s film, it may be suitable for television and channels, and that does not serve our purpose”
R.K.Singh persuaded that film maker should not leave the opportunity which he gets from the Government in the form of finance from NFDC or CFSI.
Ashok Tyagi paid vote of thanks to the veterans and suggested animation films can be a wonderful alternative to regular films.

Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Forum Inaugurated At Global Film Festival

To promote the ideology and thinking of late Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru a new forum has been launched by Marwah Studios from the stage of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 on the third and final day of the festival which happens to be the birth anniversary of Nehru and also been called as Children’s Day in India.
“I am lucky enough to be part of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Forum on this auspicious occasion today on the Children’s Day and final day of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 when the focus is only Children” said Jainandu Chairman of State Khadi and Village Industries Board, Jharkhand while launching the first poster of the organization.
“All this reminds me my days in school when we used to celebrate Children’s Day” said Pankaj Parashar film director. “I am impressed by the activities at Marwah Studios” said Amjhed Habib a renowned Stylist. “I would love to do anything for this organization which has given so much to the society” added Ashok Masti a well known singer of the country.

Shakespeare Society Formally Launched At Global Film Festival

Newly framed voluntary organization to highlight literature and drama at Marwah Studios, Shakespeare Society has been formally launched from the platform of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 on the closing of second day of the festival.

Hundreds of film, television and media persons appreciated the gesture of establishing this forum. “We feel that the standard of the film and television production and writing for the same can only be raised with the rise of level of literature, Indian as well as foreign. My visit to Statford-Upon-Avon induced me to start Shakespeare Society” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and GFFN.

The poster release ceremony was conducted by Dr.Ravindran Kurup the writer of many Shakespeare Books, Sarina Joshi, head of Literature in Delhi University who has been researching and writing on Shakespeare from last 20 years, accompanied by Pankaj Parashar, Supran Sen, Joan Ponces De Carvalho, Kuldeep Sinha who all spoke on the subject.

“The launching of Shakespeare Society in this campus on this International platform of GFFN shows the seriousness of the organizers in education, film making and society” said Sarina Joshi.“I am ready to contribute to any extent as far as Shakespeare ideology and writing work is concerned” said Dr Kurup.

The event was followed by a musical recital by Pankaj Parashar, a entertainment package by the students of Asian Academy of Film And Television, Asian School of Media Studies and Asian Business School and a gala dinner.

Asian News Journal Released At Global Film Festival

The Writing and Print Department of Marwah Studios which is also associated with International Film And Television Research Centre contributed a lot to the 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 held at Film City from 12th to 14th November.
In addition to daily news paper, a news letter, publication of number of books, Batch Buzz.com a portal, a news agency, Sandeep Marwah promoted Asian News Journal to highlight the activities of writing and print department of International Film And Television Research Centre during Global Film Festival.
“What a collection of write ups that is too written by media students, it is commendable the way institute is promoting the students of AAFT, ASMS and ABS” said Sai Paranjape a renowned film maker and former Chairperson of Children’s Film Society of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

AAFT Section Of Films Opened At 3rd Global Film Festival

A large collection of films directed by the students of Asian Academy of Film And Television during the year 2009-2010 including batches 65, 66, 67 and 68 are the part and parcel of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010.“No doubt we have completed more than 200 films during these 4 batches but selected only 50 films as part of the festival “ informed, Dean AAFT

3rd Global Film Festival Declared One Of The Best In The World

“I have been to almost 50 countries of the World to attend film festivals of different nature and genre but never seen this kind of energy, enthusiasm, planning, events, setup what I have noticed in 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010” said Supran Sen Secretary General of Film Federation of India the Apex body of Indian Film Industry on the closing day the festival talking to the young children gathered at the campus from different schools, colleges, mass communication centres.

“We could show 227 films from different countries in seven segments including International Films, Indian Films including new releases, AAFT films, ASMS Films, Films on Disability issues, films made by Children and Competitive category along with 42 events during all these three days of Global Festival” informed Sandeep Marwah President of the GFFN.

“Its hard to believe that so much can been done in just three days in a film festival, but I have seen during these three days and enjoyed every bit of it.Seminars, workshops, book releases, bulletin, grand lunches, gala dinners, exhibitions, plays, entertainment programs and what not” said Pankaj Parashar addressing to the excited audience on the opening of third day of the festival.

Asian School of Performing Arts Launched from 3rd Global Film Festival

The official announcement of a new school for the specialization in Acting was made on the closing of the first day of 3rd Global film festival when Sandeep Marwah requested Sharbani Mukerjee the renowned actor of number of Films like Border, Ansh, Aanch etc, Sangeet Shivan the Director of feature films Kya Cool Hai Hum, Apna Sapna Money Money fame, Kuldee[p Sinha Director General of Films Division ,Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India to do the curtain raiser by opening the poster of Asian School of Performing Arts.

“We want to emphasize more on acting and other performing arts that is why we have created this school, we will be able to provide more attention to acting students” said Sandeep Marwah, the President of Marwah Studios

Others who accompanied on the stage were R.K.Singh dean ASMS, dean AAFT, Latika Sahani dean ABS, “We have left no stone unturned to make the acting course interesting, educative and informative” said Satish Anand dean of Asian School of Performing Arts. The function was followed by musical entertainment program by AAFTian’s Band and gala Dinner.

Photo Exhibition of Rajeev Srivastava Opened at 3rd Global Film Festival

A photo exhibition of renowned photographer Rajeev Srivastava was opened at the first day of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 at Marwah Studios Complex with some of the best collection of his works.

“Rajeev has done a commendable job during his visit to different hill stations and brought nature back to the studios” said Sandeep Marwah while introducing the artist to the large audience who all were there at the opening ceremony of Global Film Festival. “Rajeev is the product of Asian Academy of Film And Television (AAFT) from the camera discipline and has attained the status of national level photographer” added Marwah.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the well known film maker Sudhir Mishra, a leading lady of many films and National Award winner Rituparna Sengupta, Khalid Mohamed known writer director of Indian film Industry, Kuldeep Sinha Director General Film Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and H.E. Carlos A Irigoyen the Dy. Head of Embassy of Peru in India.

“Photography is an art and clicking right still photograph is a tough job” said Sudhir Mishra a popular film director while lighting the lamp. “I am impressed by the wonderful collection of photographs which look like paintings” said Rituparna Sengupta. “Clicking picture needs a lot of concentration like writing a dialogue for one particular situation” said Khali Mohamed. “Collection of photographs is marvelous” said Kuldeep Sinha. “the exhibition is inducing me to use my camera to click some nice pictures” added Carlos A Itigoyen.

“My training at AAFT is the base of my success, I am thankful to my alma mater for this opportunity” said Rajeev Srivastava while thanking the guests at the Gallery. The exhibition is open for full week till next Sunday.

Mr India Will Be Shown During 3rd Global Film Festival

The film which is directly related to Children Mr India is the entry for screening at 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 from 12th to 14th November at festival venue at Noida Film City.

“Even though the film Mr India has been screened so many times in different channels, the children still have great craze for this film” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival.” This film has been all time hit which is Directed by Shekhar Kapoor and Produced by Boney Kapoor” Marwah added.

I wanted to be at the festival for all three days but I have to be out of India for official work” said Boney Kapoor. “I have noticed that after seeing the movie the reaction of the Children always remain same even after so many years” said Sridevi who is the leading star of the film.

Other films which are going to be screened in the festival are Nitobeh (Japan), Blue Umbrella (India), 400 Blows (France), Ivan’s Childhood (Russia), The Bicycle Thief (Italy), Baduk (Iran), Mouchette (France), Kirikou Et La Sorciere (France), Bellisemia (Italy), The Spirit of The Beehive (Spain) and many more.

Sandeep Marwah Spoke on National Education Day

If there is any thing which can uplift the level and standard of human being in this modern age then it is the only education which can do the needful” said Sandeep Marwah, a renowned international educationist, reformer and President of Asian Education Group of Marwah Studios on the National Education Day at Noida Film City addressing the large gathering of students a day before the inauguration of 3rd Global Film Festival.
“There is a huge scope of putting efforts into the field of education in India by the Government as well as the Private sector at primary, secondary and higher level of education.” Sandeep Marwah added.
