The veteran statesman and a state minister of UP Dr. Mairaz Uddin Ahmed said that the founder director of Asian Academy of Film & TV Sandeep Marwah has indeed done the country and his state proud by attracting the nationals of over 50 countries of the world to this institute. Acknowledging the role of Hindi films in unifying the diverse Indian society, the minister stated that satellite TV channels too are playing a significant role in this present era of globalization. The Dean of University of Central Lancashire of the UK – the British partner of the academy John Shaw, the well known film & TV director A S Bedi and the former head of Indian govt’s directorate of film festivals Malti Sahai also shared their thoughts with the students on this occasion.

NOVEL WAY OF CELEBRATING INDEPENDENCE DAY

Mr. Krishna Murty Huda, former Minister of the Government of Haryana, formally declared open the first ever exhibition of painting and sculptures at Asian Academy of Film & Television. Speaking on this occasion the honourable former Minister remarked that the art-exhibition will help bring the artistes and the art lovers close together. He advised the Director, Prof. Sandeep Marwah to hold such events from time to time. Present on this occasion were Mr. Atul Marwah, Direction MEC Art Galleries and Ms. Kusha Gautam of Taj Group of Artistes.

Samuel Jackson Met Media Guru Sandeep Marwah

Narrating the activities of Marwah Studios, the president Sandeep Marwah invited one of the biggies of Hollywood Samuel Jackson to India.“I love Bollywood Films” Samuel said “I would love to come to India when there is a film event or a film festival” he added. “I am happy to meet media guru Sandeep Marwah who has been teacher to 7000 media persons and that too from 70 countries of the World.” He expressed his keen ness to be associated with Indian Film Industry.
Samuel L. Jackson who has created a wonderful niche for himself through Hollywood films and has worked in more than 130 films .He has been a Oscar nominee for his role in ‘Pulp Fiction’ and winner of BAFTA with BET Comedy Awards for ‘Incredible, Bambi Award for ‘International’, Silver Berlin Best Actor for ‘ Jackie Brown’, Best Actor Black movie Award for ‘Coach Carter’ and well awarded for films like ‘Jumper’, ‘Eve’s Bayou’, ‘Home of the Brave’, ‘Jungle Fever’, ‘Shaft’, ‘Sydney’, ‘The Long Kiss Goodnight’, ‘A Time To Kill’ etc.

National Seminar on Community Radio at Marwah Studios

Asian School of Media Studies, Noida in association with World Development Foundation has decided to organize a national seminar on community Radio covering opportunities and challenge on 10th march at Marwah studios, informed R.K.Singh the dean of ASMS.
“We have requested Lt Gen K.M. Seth, the former Governor of Chattisgarh to inaugurate this National event” R.K.Singh added. ”The workshop will focus on government scheme of CRS, the policy guide lines, use of community radio, hardware and software issues and content development” said Sandeep Marwah president of Marwah Studios and President of this National Seminar.
“Radio is a very powerful technology that can allow information to reach large sector of the population quickly and economically” said Marwah. The seminar is supported by Radio Noida 107.4FM, Comcon Technologies, Asian Business School, AAFT, International Film and Television Club, International Children’s Film Forum and International Film and Television Research Centre. There will be large number of participants and speakers from all over the country.

Sandeep Marwah On Jury Of 26th Mons International Film Festival

The renowned Asian Media personality Sandeep Marwah, the President of Marwah Studios has been nominated as member of International Jury representing India in 26th edition of Festival International Du Film D’ Amour.

“Its a great honour for me to represent my country in FIFA, a prestigios film festival of the World having its 26th edition at Mons, Belgium” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and World Record Holder of producing largest number of short films.He is the President of Asian Academy of Film and Television, a film school which has churned out 7000 media professional in last 18years hailing from 70 countries .

“The festival invites to discover an array of unusual films with committed subjects and heart wrenching stories from 19th to 26th feb. no less than 80 films and 35 short from all over the World will be screened. I am happy we have jury from India too.”said Elio Di Rupo Honorary President of FIFA.

The other members of the jury are Thomas Gilou, Chantal Lauby, Melanie Bernier, Sara Martin and Noemie Elbaz from France, Idrissa Ouedraogo from Burkina Faso, Maria Dinulescu from Romania, Rashid Masharwi from Palestine, Renato Berta from Switzerland, Sandra Ceccarelli from Italy and Khaled Abou El Naga from Egypt.

The Last Session Brought Glamour To 6th Indo-US Economic Summit

The last session of two days 6th Indo US Economic Summit being held at hotel Lalit in New Delhi ‘Bollywood To Hollywood’ brought glamour to the whole show when President of Marwah Studios Sandeep Marwah presented key note expressing the interrelation of Hollywood and Bollywood as far as production, joint ventures, distribution, acting, awards, film education, music and other things are concerned. Giving number of examples out of feature films he brought many facts and figures to the table in a full house. The event is organized by the Indo American Chamber Of Commerce.

The panel was consisting of Anand Desai, managing Partner DSK LEGAL, Sandeep Bhargava CEO The Indian Film Company, Rajesh Jain Executive Director, Corporate Finance and Entertainment Division, Siddharth Roy Kapur CEO UTV Motion Pictures and Lalit Bhasin, the summit Chairman and President, Society of Indian Law Firms.

“There is a huge scope of business for two film industries USA and India to explore the market in each other country” said Sandeep Marwah who is also heading Entertainment Committee in IACC .The topics related to piracy, the legality of joint ventures and the usage of latest equipments were discussed by the panel.

Festival of Iranian Films at AAFT

International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy of film and Television in association with Iran Cultural Centre, Embassy of Iran inaugurated three days festival of Iranian Films at Marwah Studios, Noida film city. Some of the finest films were selected for this special festival opened by the Director of Cultural Centre of Iran Embassy.
“AAFT is the correct platform to project Iranian Films, not only students of film and TV get the opportunity to see different expression but they do get to know the culture of this beautiful country” said Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios. “We are very happy to associate with AAFT as the enthusiasm in this institute to learn is highest” said Supriya Suri of CINE DARBAR.
“I an proud of my students at AAFT and ASMS who are so focused as far as film and TV business is concerned, we are now well established in Mumbai-Bollywood as no channel, film and TV office, Production company where are students are not working” said Ashok Tyagi, dean Cinema Asian School of Media Studies.
Ali Dehgahi the director of Iran Cultural Centre said, “We are one of the oldest friends of India, the culture and living habits of both the countries are quite similar, that is the reason Iranians love and enjoy Indian films and I am sure you will also like these films.” Iran produces 130 films approx. every year and they are distributed all over the world.

Sandeep Marwah Appreciated Students Of Delhi Public School

The Vice Principal and the head of Hindi Department Dr R.G. Verma invited Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios, FilmCity, Noida to the inter school Dance and Drama competition in the capacity of Chief Guest. The program was held at Delhi Public School RKPuram where other different branches of DPS school performed.
“It is extraordinary well planned program where you have to express only through dance and drama without uttering the phrases of the poem” said Sandeep Marwah. “I am impressed by the presentation of every school, thank God I am not the judge today other wise it would have been difficult to finalize who is the first” added Marwah.
The program was judged by Mohit Jain Director Times of India, Saroja Vaidanathan Director Ganesha Natyalaya, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Khattar Prof. of Motilal Nehru College, and Jilmil Hazarika from National School of Drama who all spoke after the event while declaring the results.
The principal of the school Dr.D.R.Saini send his best wishes to the winners.The other who were present there were Dr.V.D.Aggarwal, V.J.Bakshi, Kaumudi Sharma, Divya Sawhney, Sushil Prasad, Daniel Freddy and Seema Mehta.

A annual joint venture of AAFT, ASMS, ASGA and ABS prepared and conducted by the students to express their talent and practice was held at Marwah Studios attended by students of all the 30 courses of the campus.
Speaking on the occasion in a jam packed hall the President of the Asian Education Society Sandeep Marwah encouraged students to frame more programs like this which are very healthy for the personality development of the students. Sandeep Marwah sanctioned more funds for student’s welfare this year which also includes student competitions and participation in India and Abroad. “He who does not believe in Entertainment and music is not human being” said Marwah
Present on the event the renowned actor Viswajit Pradhan who has worked in more than 150 feature films and only Gujar Actor in Bollywood congratulated the students for their large participation while lighting the lamp .”I am proud to be associated with International Media Education Centre and would like to be back again”
ShreeRupa the director of NGO ‘Make A Wish Foundation of India’ appreciated the efforts of the students and their enthusiasm for the cultural event.” I invite students who would like to get into social work” said ShreeRupa. Awards Declared for 3rd International Festival of Cellphone Cinema

The jury consists of renowned film makers like N.Chandra, Karl Rordosh, Gurbir Garewal, Arun Anand, R.K.Singh and Raghav Marwah presented their final report of results to the president of the festival Sandeep Marwah to declare internationally.

The first award for video category was given to VISION by H.K. Sharma, DANCING QUEEN by Sumit Roy got the second and THE GIFT by Amar Sohny manage the third. A special jury award was announced for SUNDAY by Sumit Kohli and Audience award handed over to EYE by Ashok Yadav.
Winner in Still first category was shared by two BLUE-THE COLOUR OF HOPE by Shuruti Rai and CROW DRINKING BEER by Kshitij Gupta.MAN JUMPING IN THE BUS by Suneel Mistri and JINDA HUN MAIN by Anirban Bhattacharya got second. Special Jury Award.to FIRST FINISHING LINE by Nagendra Singh and UNDERWEAR SHAPED by Rithwik Sondhi were given. The audience award to best still was FEAR-MOBILE PHONE by Umang Khanna was presented.

“All the participants have been given a participation Certificate and Awards along with Citation will be sent to all in due course of time” said Sandeep Marwah. “We have started preparing for the 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema which will take place in January 2011” added Marwah.
