Basu, Rawail, Kaushik, Marwah, Bajpai At Pravasi Film Festival

The First Pravasi Film Festival came to an end with the presence of Basu Chatterjee, Rahul Rawail, Satish Kaushik, Sandeep Marwah Manoj Bajpai, Meera Nair and many other dignities who all were there to mark there presence to give industry’s recognition to this first Pravasi film festival at Habitat Centre in New Delhi.
LIFE GOES ON by Sangita Dutta won the best feature film, SHOR directed by D.K.Krishna and Raj Nidimoru best short film and FLYING SIKH was declared as best Short Film Fiction .Around 30 films in total were screened in the festival in feature and non feature category. CHEHRE by Rohit Kaushik was the closing film of the ceremony.
“I am ready to support this wonderful venture which has brought many Indians together once again at the Holy Land of India” said chief guest Mrs Preneet Kaur, State Minister of External Affairs, Government of India while addressing the audience. “I invite all NRI’s to Uttra Khand a place full of natural beauty to utilize as natural sets for their next films” said Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, the Chief Minister of UttraKhand.
“Marwah Studios would like to offer all its facilities to NRI film makers to come and make films in India and we are also ready for the joint ventures” said Sandeep Marwah the producer of largest number of Short films in the world while thanking Anil Joshi the festival Director for a wonderful initiative.

Media Students of AAFT are Invited Abroad

Talking to the students of 66th batch of trainees of Asian Academy of Film and Television, Anurag Malhotra the International head of Zee TV based in Dubai invited media students to the city of Dubai for better exposure and understanding of international affairs in media. Explaining the need of film and TV education for the new aspirant he said “It is not only essential but necessary for every new comer to go through the proper training and education for better future”
“The best way to write the book is to document the events happened with you” said Awais Sheikh the Pakistani writer and promoter of the organization ‘Pak India Peace Initiative’ who has just finished a book called SHAMJHAUTA on the India Pakistan friendship. Awais has been to India many times also invited media Students to come and see for them selves how Pakistan is similar to India in Language, food and Culture. .Answering to the questions Awais appreciated the Indian films and hospitability.
Expressing his enthusiasm on the visit of two international guests Sandeep Marwah accepted the invitation from both the nations on behalf of the students of AAFT and later presented the life membership of International Film and Television Club to both the international guests.

Spiritual Environment Blended With Media Contribution For Peace

The whole campus of Marwah Studios was bubbling with the spiritual environment when who’s who of religious and spiritual leaders spoke about the contribution of media in spreading the goods words to the whole World to bring Peace in the World in a jam packed auditorium with highly charged audience.

The seminar was conducted by the newly formed International organization GLOBAL YOG ALLIANCE aheaded by Yogshiromani Dr Gopalji, who explained that the members have been taken from all communities, Religion, Cast and Creed, all sections of the society, national and international religious, spiritual and media persons are coming together to promote this organization and its objectives.

“I am proud to be associated with GYA organization as founder member and patron, what ever best can be done will be done to promote Yog and peace in India and Abroad” said Sandeep Marwah president of Marwah Studios who had also been nominated as Ambassador of Peace by Universal Peace Federation at Korea earlier.

“Colours have deep relation with the thinking of the person, the selection of painting depends on the mood of the buyer, today the collection of paintings is enormous” said H.E. Mohamed Higasy, Ambassador of Arab Republic of Egypt in India. The secretary of
Lalit Kala Academy Dr. Sudhakar Sharma appreciated 60 works displayed at the gallery.

The artist involved with exhibition included M.F. Hussain, Sami Saleem, Satish Gujral, Bijon Chaudhary, Jayshree Chakraborty, Prosenjit Sengupta, Bikash Bhattacharya and others.

“Any sincere efforts into learning and education can never go waste” said Sandeep Marwah, the President of Marwah Studios while talking to the passing out students of 65th batch of AAFT Asian Academy of Film and Television on the day of Convocation at Marwah Studios who all were more than excited to receive their diploma of World repute.

“We have given you the best as far as your ambience, infrastructure, Equipment, curriculum, management, workshops, interactions, industry interface, visits, festivals, productions, campus interviews, grooming and other things are concerned, now its your chance to prove your learning and its utilization in the industry” added Marwah.

Goonj Join Hands with 3rd International Festival of Cell Phone Cinema

Goonj, a voluntary association born at Marwah Studios by the young enthusiastic school and college students of different parts of the country to spread the message of peace all over the India and across its boundaries. “We are young but we have vision, we may not have resources but we have enthusiasm, we want to carry the message of peace through media as well” said Mehul Mittra the young president of this new born organization while welcoming the guest of the day .

I have the pleasure to light the lamp on the first day of this organization, I pray that this light of peace may spread all over the World” said Sandeep Marwah, president of Marwah Studios who also invite all the youngsters to join 3rd International festival of Cell Phone Cinema by presenting stills or movies pertaining to subject Peace and Love. “We can bring in Love and Peace to the community by reminding people the importance and need for the same.” said H.E. Carlos A. Yarigoyan, Dy High commission of Embassy of Peru in India.
“What Gautam Budha and Mahatama Gandhi wanted the same service we have to provide to the nation through this organization Goonj, it may take time but one day everybody will realize the importance of this organization.” said Vipul Mittra, Secretary Tourism, Government of Gujrat. “I am ready to organize a musical program to highlight this idea.” said D.J.Narayan Director of song and drama division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.

Global Yog Alliance Formed

The federation of yoga organizations in India and abroad join hands together to form an international body ‘Global Yog Alliance’ under the leadership of Yogshiromani Dr. Gopalji who has brought three important parts of the society that is Yog, Spirituality and religion, Film, TV and Media together for the first time on the same platform.

Asian School of Media Studies Celebrated 5th Festival of Short Films

The Annual program of festival of short films was celebrated with great pomp and show.
“This is the best way not only to encourage students of the college but also to market their product” said Sandeep Marwah president of Marwah Studios while inaugurating the 5th festival of short films directed by the students of ASMS.

The lamp was lighted by the students of ASMS breaking all the old traditions of the college. “We believe that students should be able to write, shoot, direct and edit their own programs when they are out of the institution” said Harshvardhan, vice President of ASMS. “We are keen in developing all facilities within campus so that our student of Cinema, Journalism, Multimedia and Electronic Media not only learn the best but give the best to industry” said R.K. Singh Dean ASMS.

“No media person can be successful unless he is disciplined himself” said Rahul Sehgal the associate dean of Cinema, Asian School of Media Studies. “We are here to look after the needs of students who have been provided World Class infrastructure to direct these films” added A.K.Goorah, the HOD Cinematography. The Students of all streams were present to appreciate the films. The program was well covered by Radio Noida 107.4FM.

Noida Villages Benefited by International Children’s Film Forum

ICFF, the newly constructed social body of Marwah Studios International Children’s Film Forum with the purpose of uplifting society through Cinema and especially through Children’s film created a new wave in the city of Noida. To start with the managing committee organized six programs by showing theme oriented short films produced by MFVP at six different villages and slums.

“Cinema is the best mode of mass communication to leave largest impact on society” said Sandeep Marwah, the President of ICFF and Marwah Studios. “We will put our best foot down to promote social issues concerning children through cinema from village to village in the country, we have tied up with 30,000 schools in the country where we will project social issues.” added Marwah.

ICFF is a voluntary body and invites people to come forward to join this organization for social cause. YES a social trust has already joined the mission. The managing committee consists of some of the finest names from the fraternity of film and television informed Radio Noida 107.4FM.

Indian film industry is Global now-Focus 2009

3rd Global Summit on Entertainment and Media Focus 2009 of Assocham came to the conclusion that we may be global as far as Indian Film Industry is concerned but still we have to take many measures to be known to rest of the world. Talking from the dice on the first day, S.M.Khan, the Director of Directorate of Film festivals of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India said “to attract foreign film makers into our festivals Government of India has announced a prize for 40 lacs for the best film, which is highest in the World. The seminar was attended by Film Director Madhur Bhandarkar, Ashok Pandit,President of Marwah Studios Sandeep Marwah, Actor Mukesh Tyagi,art connoisseur Nevllie Tuli,Sheemaroo Director Hiren Gada and Channel Mahua’s Geetanjali Sehgal.
The show stopper was Sandeep Marwah who alone with great enthusiasm discarded the views of the other speakers who were not earlier convinced that Indian films and entertainment industry is now Global. Relating poetry to the current situation he won the applause of the audience to maximum.
“We need to improve a lot on our marketing techniques” said Madhur Bhandrakar, “We are behind as far as our subjects are concerned” said Ashok Pandit. “We still have to nourish our talent to an international standard” said Mukesh Tyagi. “Even after all these drawback our films are watched by two sixth of the World, Indian songs are accepted every where, Industry is still growing, we are still getting awards in every festival and competitions, Indian Films are watched with great interest ,Indian artist are appreciated” said Sandeep Marwah while giving ample current examples.
