Poster of International Journalism Day Released at GGJN

Noida: “Seven years back we decided to carved out an International Day of Journalism on 12th February as there was no day mentioned for the oldest profession on earth by even United Nations,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Global Festival of Journalism while opening the poster of International Journalism Day.

“Earlier we have been celebrating 21st June as International Yoga Day and 2nd April as Asian Unity Day. These are other two very important dates we have contributed to the World calendar,” added Marwah.

The poster was released by H.E. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye Esq (Jnr) High Commissioner of Ghana to India, veteran journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik, Dr.Xiaoxian Zhu from Teesside University UK, Kumar Mohan Editor Complete Cinema from Mumbai, renowned PR Consultant Himanshu Zhunzhunwala, Madhavi Advani Director International Children;s Film Forum, Dipak K Ghosh renowned painter, Actor Ekta Jain and educationist Padmini Prameshwaran.

“Marwah is full of new ideas, and he knows how to execute them. I appreciate the formation of 12th February as the International Day of journalism,” said H.E. Michael Aaron High Commissioner of Ghana to India.

News Letter of 6th Global Festival of Journalism Released

Noida: “The biggest and the only festival of its kind in Asia and second in the World Global Festival of Journalism has been planned by International Journalism Centre to promote good journalism and to support love, peace and unity through journalism, is the motto of the festival,” said Sandeep Marwah President IJC to the large international audience gathered at Marwah Studios.

A newsletter planned by the Mass Communication and Journalism Department of Asian School of Media Studies was released by the important dignities present on the occasion on the first day of 6th Global Festival of Journalism.

The news letter was released by H.E. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye Esq (Jnr) High Commissioner of Ghana to India, veteran journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik, Dr.Xiaoxian Zhu from Teesside University UK, Kumar Mohan Editor Complete Cinema from Mumbai, renowned PR Consultant Himanshu Zhunzhunwala, Madhavi Advani Director International Children;s Film Forum, Dipak K Ghosh renowned painter, Actor Ekta Jain and educationist Padmini Prameshwaran.

“Creating a news paper, involving the students of mass communication and journalism and publishing on all the days of the festival adds a lot to the international festival,” said Dr. Xiaoxian Zhu of Teesside University.

Workshop by Korean Motivator Prof. Cho Gyu Yeun at AAFT

Noida: IYF- International Youth Fellowship in association with IMEI-International Mind Education Institute organized, Korea a powerful workshop for the students of Asian Academy of Film And Television and Asian School of Media Studies at Marwah Studios.

‘How to develop leadership skills to apply to Global level’ was the topic of the workshop conducted by the renowned Korean motivator Prof. Cho Gyu Yeun. Cho has been a world traveller, pass out of Cyber University of Korea, Chairman of International Mind Education Institute and director of IYF and GMEI.

Jung Young Min Director International Youth Fellowship, Marylin Coordinator, Song Chimoon the Co-Director of IYF, accompanied Cho. The lecture was followed by an entertainment by Korean Musical Group.

The International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Indo Korean Film And Cultural Forum supported the program. Later Sandeep Marwah honored the Korean guests with life membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT.

Workshop by Film Makers From Singapore at AAFT

Noida: The Indo Singapore Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry organized a seminar cum workshop for the media students of AAFT by the film makers from Singapore.

“We are ready to join hands with Marwah Studios for our upcoming film. This can be a joint venture between the two countries. It will lead to better cultural relations,” said K. Rajagopal filmmaker from Singapore.

“Our intentions are to join hands with Indian film Industry which is the biggest in the World. We will sure learn more tricks of the trade,” added Chai Yee Wei a film studio owner (Hot Cider Films) and film producer known for his film ‘Blood Ties’.

“We are thankful to Marwah Studios and AAFT for this wonderful interaction with the future film makers of this country. The business can be routed through Singapore High Commission for faster and better understanding,” said Kester Tay First Secretary, High Commission of Singapore in India.

The meeting was addressed by renowned media person Shivendra Kumar Singh and popular Kathak Dancer Prerana Shrimali also. Later Marwah honored the guest with the life membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT. Supriya Suri conducted the program.

Sandeep Marwah Addressed NACOF Meeting

New Delhi: “Time has come when we have to take a special care of our farmers. If there is no vegetation we cannot survive in this country. Don’t forget that 70 percent of the population still lives in villages,” said Sandeep Marwah Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited in the capacity of Chief Guest.

“Prime Minister has announced large number of schemes for the farmers, we must cooperate him in his vision to any extent you can afford to,” added Marwah

in the joint meeting of National Federation of Farmers Procurement, Processing and Retailing Cooperatives of India Limited and National Cooperative Union of India at NCUI campus.

Exhibition of Dipak Ghosh Inaugurated at 6th Global Festival of Journalism

Noida: A colorful and authentic faces in the shape of paintings were presented by the renowned artist Dipak Ghosh on the first day of 6thGlobal Festival of Journalism at Marwah Studios designed by International Journalism Centre on International Journalism Day, 12th February 2018.

“We have always promoted art and culture in our every event. We have believed that Indian art and culture is base for our growth and promotions,” said Sandeep Marwah President of GFJN.

The exhibition was inaugurated by H.E. Sabit Subasic Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina to India, veteran journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik, Dr.Xiaoxian Zhu from Teesside University UK, Kumar Mohan Editor Complete Cinema from Mumbai, renowned PR Consultant Himanshu Zhunzhunwala and H.E. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye Esq (Jnr) High Commissioner of Ghana to India.

“I harbor an interest in all art forms with a special interest in music and filmmaking besides the visual arts. When I’m not occupied with my passions, I help artists and leaders of tomorrow see the light, my primary endeavor is to make them dream better. My thought process has always aligned better with children as they are fearless and forever evolving, naturally possess a vivid imagination and are open to all possibilities of fancy,” said Dipak K Ghosh.

Madhavi Advani director of International Children’s Film Forum curated the exhibition. Dipak K Ghosh pursued commerce from Jadavpur High School and Prafulla Chandra Collage (City Collage, Golpark, Kolkata), started drawing when in 3 rd grade of school. His first earning came by making a Portrait when in class eighth. He is currently working at Bubna Advertising.

Indo Bosnia Cultural Forum Launched at 6th Journalism Festival

Noida: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry created another organization to build and promote relations between two countries India & Bosnia And Herzegovina under the name and banner of Indo Bosnia Cultural Forum.

The remarkable opening of 6th Global Festival of Journalism was followed by the launching of Indo Bosnia Cultural Forum at Noida Film City where media persons from all over India and abroad were present to see the auspicious launch by the international dignities.

Well known media personality and world record holder Sandeep Marwah was honored and nominated as the Chairperson of this forum as he has been well aware of international relations between two countries. H.E. Sabit Subasic Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina was offered Patron ship of the forum.

Veteran journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik, Dr.Xiaoxian Zhu from Teesside University UK, Kumar Mohan Editor Complete Cinema from Mumbai and renowned PR Consultant Himanshu Zhunzhunwala, witnessed the event.

“There is a need of these kind of organizations which can work people to people of the country and bring them close to each other through arts and cultural events,” said H.E. Sabit Subasic.

SCHOOL OF CINEMA STUDENTS WON FIVE TITLES AT UDAAN FILM FESTIVAL 2018

Students of Filmmaking from AAFT School of Cinema participated in the recently concluded Udaan Youth Fest 2018 (3rd Season) which was organized in and association with Delhi University. This was the first time that the festival organized a 48-hour filmmaking competition where the theme was given on the spot to the students on Feb 7th, 2018 at 10:30 AM. Topics were given to different teams in sealed envelopes. The students had to write the script, shoot the film, and edit it in less than 48 hours.

All the teams got different topics. While one team got a Music Video on Delhi, the other one was busy making a documentary on Yamuna river, while various other teams created crisp fiction shorts.

First and Second year students from B.Sc Cinema and from M.Sc Cinema Final Year used the festival as a platform to project their creative vision & out-of-the-box ideas. Mohit Arora, a final year MSc student along with his team comprising of Saloni Thakral, Rahim Malik, Prashant Verma, Saurabh Dubey, Jasleen Gill, Smriti Lata Sinha and Mayank (All students from School of Cinema) made a docu-fiction titled “HOW MANY PLANTS WILL MAKE DELHI GREEN”. This team won awards in all five categories that of Best Film, Best Director (Mohit Arora), Best Cinematographer (Prashant Verma), Best Editing (Saurabh Dubey) and 2nd best award for Scriptwriting.

Another film that won the accolades was a Music Video titled ‘COLORS’ on the theme ‘Festival’. This team comprised of Manvir Singh Brar, Subodh Kant, Tanya, Kunal Lamba, Prathamesh Kumbhare, Shivam Chaurasia, Dhruv Sethi, Ninad Sawant and Megha Goel (All students of Cinema). As soon as this team got the topic, they rushed to Surajkund Fair 2018 with full enthusiasm and shot their video. This team won the 2nd Prize for Best Editor (Shivam Chaurasia), 3rd Prize for Best Scriptwriter (Manvir, Subodh and Tanya) and the team also won Special Mention for Cinematography (Dhruv Sethi, Prathamesh Kumbhare and Megha Goel). This video showcases a girl who just found her eyesight and how the world around her is suddenly full of colors.

Another film that did well was ‘RANG’ based on topic- ‘Color of Thoughts’. This team comprised of Kathan Shah, Aarsh Upadhyay, Gaurish Kushwaha, Nitish Thakur, Rajnish Kumar Jef, Rhythm Chaddha, Harsh Sinha, Ajit Yadav, Abhinav Duggal and Vibhuti Bahal (All Cinema students). The film, based on secularism, bagged First prize for Best Script (Gaurish and Nitish), and Prize for Best Film, Best Direction (Kathan & Aarsh) & Best Cinematography (Rajnish).

To bring forward the alarming state of river Yamuna, a team of students made a Documentary on Yamuna titled as ‘YAMUNA- Dying Pride’. This team comprised of Himanshu Ranjan (Director), Uzma Manzoor, Hitesh Dhatwalia, Kumar Sahil, Deepak Sharma, Vibhuti Bahal, Kashif Qureshi, Aadesh Kale, Omi and Karan Singh Bora. This film won the Prizes in Cinematography (Aadesh Kale & Karan Singh Bora) and Script (Deepak Sharma and Omi).

There were some other films which unfortunately didn’t get any Award but won hearts of the Jury members and other students who were present during the screening. The festival provided a much-needed creative boost to all the students.

Sabit Subasic Now Patron to Indo Bosnia Cultural Forum

Noida: “It is my pleasure to accept the Chair of Indo Bosnia Cultural Forum but the forum needs guidance by the most appropriate person and that person is H.E. Sabit Subasic Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina. We request him to be the Patron of the forum,” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios at 6th Global Festival of Journalism.

“I am keen in developing relations between two countries and culture diplomacy is the best way to proceed,” said Sabit Subasic to the large audience at the launching of forum.

Ambassador Sabit Subasic officially became the Bosnian Ambassador to India in 3rd March 2014. Before coming to India he was a diplomat in Turkey for several years, where he witnessed some of the crucial phases of unique democratic development of the nation.

Earlier he was the Minister/Advisor of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Australia. Prior to this he has also held several other positions including Editor of the Municipality Paper of Ilidza, Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Minister/Counselor/Head of Department of the Department for Planning and Analysis, Head of Department for human rights and acting Head of Department of Planning and Information among others.

Noida: The 6th Global Festival of Journalism 2018 brought another title to renowned media personality Sandeep Marwah from Bosnia And Herzegovina as the Chairperson of Indo Bosnia Cultural Forum.

“It is a great pleasure and honor to nominate Sandeep Marwah as the Chairperson of Indo Bosnia Cultural Forum. His experience and networking all over the World will bring more lime light to this relationship,” said H.E. Dr. Sabit Subasic Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina to India while honoring & handing over the chairmanship to Sandeep Marwah.

“I am feeling elevated and charged with my new role of Chairman of Indo Bosnia Cultural Forum. I assure you and to the Government of Bosnia And Herzegovina that I will do justice to this designation,” said Sandeep Marwah while receiving the memento from Ambassador in a jam packed hall full of film, television and media persons from all over India and abroad.
