Grand Opening of 6th Global Festival of Journalism 2018

Noida: The sixth edition of the most exclusive journalism festival of the World opened at Noida Film City with great pomp and show. Large number of national and foreign delegates made the journalism festival colorful and vibrant on the first day of the event designed for 12th to 14thFebruary, 2018.

“Seven years back we announced 12th February as the International Day of Journalism, as there was no day marked earlier for the oldest profession on earth. To mark respect to the day we started Global Festival of Journalism every year,” said Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre and the festival.

“We are thrilled to be the part of the 6th edition of first ever festival of this kind in the World. Bosnia and Herzegovina and India friendship has taken a new shape today. Media can boost our relationship to bigger platforms,” said H.E. Dr.Sabit Subasic Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina while lighting the ceremonial lamp to inaugurate the festival.

“Marwah studios is the Mecca and Medina of film and media activities. Last time I was here for launching of Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum. Global Festival of Journalism has brought India and Ghana once again close to each other. I invite Marwah to Ghana as a state guest to further enhance our ties,” said H.E. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye Esq (Jnr) High Commissioner of Ghana to India.

Sandeep Marwah is a popular name in United Kingdom, his involvement has added more by joining hands with Teesside University. Asian Education Group and our University will soon tie up for joint gains,” added Dr.Xiaoxian Zhu Teesside University United Kingdom.

The reaches of 12th February as International Day of Journalism and Global Festival of Journalism have induced many organizations in the World to celebrate this day. I am ready to go to any extend to promote good journalism,” added Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidic veteran journalist of India.

Kumar Mohan Veteran Journalist from Mumbai representing the Indian film industry congratulated all the journalists from all over the World on International Journalism Day. ”International Journalism Centre has created the day and history in the books of journalism,” said Kumar Mohan.

The festival organized workshops, seminars, interactions, talks, exhibitions, screening of documentaries, release of posters etc. on the first day along with launching of Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum by the Ambassador of Bosnia.

Later Sandeep Marwah honored the dignities with the life membership of International Journalism Centre of Marwah Studios.

ASMS is Proud of Alumnus Ashok Yadav

Noida: AAFT-Asian Academy of Film And Television and ASMS- Asian School of Media Studies have special welcoming cell for the alumni. Every pass out of the institution is the part of the facilities available in the campus be it a newspaper, radio, television or news agency to high light his or her achievements.

“It is always a great pleasure to see your students growing in the industry step by step. The students of Asian School of Media Studies Department of Cinema have done a wonderful job in feature film ‘Kerry On Kutton’,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ASMS congratulating the director of the film Ashok Yadav.

“I made five films at the cost of the institute, any one missing from the unit, I used to replace my self and learned the best while studying here at Noida. Kerry On Kutton a commercial film is the result of the same,” said Ashok Yadav Director of many short films and feature film Kerry On Kutton.

There are quite some together in this film from ASMS. Sampada Malla, Yash Saini and Shashank Shekhar Singh produce the film. Shivam Chopra, Himanshu Singh, Rishab Yadav and Sunna Wehrmeiier has given music. Cinematography is by Sushan Prrajapati, Editing by Dilip Deo, Costumes by Ajnan Khare and Songs sung by Nneha Kakkar and Piyush Mishra.

Master class with Bollywood icons at School of Cinema

AAFT School of Cinema organized a master class on February 01, 2018 in the presence of actor-director Deepak Tijori, film producer Rahul Mittra and Mr. Rajiv Gupta, a leading actor.

The students enthusiastically attended the workshop as these leading icons shared their experiences with them. They recalled their struggling days and explained to the students how they finally were able to get a break in the industry and make a name for themselves. The discussion was highly motivating for students as they got an opportunity to hear directly from the significant Indian film industry members and were guided on how to deal with 24×7 work mechanism of the industry.

Mr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the Asian education group, underlined the importance of hard work and discipline in order to achieve success.

After a very fruitful discussion, there was a Q&A round in which students raised their queries on different aspects of film industry and its changing trends, especially focusing on web-based film programs.

Inauguration of Exhibition of Paintings by Dipak Ghosh

New Delhi: Totally inspired by the eyes, artist Dipak Kumar Ghosh has displayed a series of attractive portraits of renowned personalities which he has expressed on canvas using pencil and charcoal at IGNCA. The exhibition has been titled “Eyes Says It All” showcases the piercing eyes of eminent personalities like Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, Albert Einstein, Sri Ramakrishna, Mother Teresa, A.P.J Abdul Kalam and more.

“The exhibition was inaugurated by former President Pranab Mukherjee who was in all praise about the exhibition. “An artist should have a creative mind, they feast the mind of the living & that is their study. I wish Mr. Ghosh and associates a grand success for this exhibition,” Mukherjee said during the inauguration.

Dipak Kumar Ghosh said that “every stroke in work of art is important to the picture and the time and effort that I have invested in each and every portrait and sketch and painting of mine, they are so special to me,”

Apna School Grown Big in Noida

Noida: A school planned by Marwah Studios for the underprivileged children 10 years ago, has grown bigger in size, quality and quantity. Now there are 15 branches with almost 1000 students studying in primary classes.

“It is the occasion to celebrate our success as we have grown from one to fifteen in numbers, students have grown from 40 to 1000 and hundreds of students after learning, have joined regular schools in Noida,” said Ritu Sinha Pricipal of the School.

“I am honored to be associated with the Team Apna School. Today we are opening a library and Shishu Sansthan for Shiv Nagari. Slums do not sound comfortable to all of us. Few years back I had to change the name to Shiv Nagari. I am sure the children in these colonies will take full advantage of Library and ladies of Shishu Sansthan,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

Many dignities from Noida were present there to participate in this holy event at Shiv Nagari. An entertainment program followed the formal inauguration by the school children.

Sandeep Marwah Honored by Fiji Government

Noida: “I am going to carry back home to Fiji the enthusiasm which Sandeep Marwah has showered today during our meet of Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum,” said H.E. Faiyaz Siddiq Koya Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Lands & Mineral Resources Government of Fiji during his official visit to the ICMEI international Headquarters at Noida Film City.

“Sandeep Marwah deserves much appreciation for his untiring contribution towards development and promotion of relations between India and Fiji. May I request Minister to honor him with the memento as a gesture of goodwill from the Government of Fiji,” said H.E. Nilesh Roneel Kumar Charge d’ Affaires High Commission of the Republic of Fiji to India.

“I am impressed by the facilities and quantum of film, television, media, art and culture business Marwah has done in all these years. His six World records are enough to represent his works,” added Minister while handing over the award to Marwah in a grand event at Marwah Studios.

“I am touched by the gesture of the Minister and assure you that this organization will prove its point of view very soon,” thanked Marwah.

Fiji Minister Visited ICMEI Headquarters

Noida: H.E. Faiyaz Siddiq Koya Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Lands & Mineral Resources Government of Fiji paid an official visit to the ICMEI international Headquarters accompanied by H.E. Nilesh Roneel Kumar Charge d’ Affaires High Commission of the Republic of Fiji to India.

H.E. Koya informed the formal gathering that Fiji was an India away from India as the ancestors of present day Fijians had migrated there from India and had kept alive their culture and traditions.

President ICMEI Mr. Sandeep Marwah nominated H.E. Koya as the Patron of the Indo-Fiji Film & Cultural Forum and announced a scholarship for a deserving student from Fiji for pursuing media education at AAFT.

H.E. Koya invited the President ICMEI to visit Fiji in order to promote Fiji as the destination for the shootings of Indian Films. President ICMEI offered co-production for the shooting of a film in Fiji to promote it as a tourist destination and announced a festival of films from Fiji, which shall soon take place under the banner of Indo-Fiji Film and Cultural Forum of ICMEI.

The visit ended with the firm determination to bring about love, peace and Unity through art and culture between the people of Fiji and India.

Convocation of 97th Batch of Trainees of AAFT

“One good advice can take you to heights. Sandeep Marwah encouraged me to start my own business that is film making which is now my passion. ICMEI Will Support Khadi Gramodhyog Sansthan in Reaching People

Noida: Radio Noida and MSTV can be of great help in propagating Khadi and its products all over the World, as both are world broadcasters. We need to promote Khadi to help villagers and small scale units in India,” said Jainandu of Khadi Gramodyog Sansthan addressing the media persons at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

“Our job is to create the awareness for khadi so that more people can use khadi which ultimately will help the small scale industry. Our fashion school has a full chapter on khadi products,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and AAFT requesting audience to use khadi products.

“First khadi was ‘Khadi for nation,’ then we tried to make it ‘khadi for fashion,’ and now it has become ‘khadi for transformation.’ Handloom is changing the lives of poor people by empowering them. It is playing a major role in gram uday,” Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said during his monthly radio address, Mann ki Baat.
