Sandeep Marwah Represented India in Cyprus Film Summit

Nicosia: A well known film, television and media personality Sandeep Marwah represented Republic of India in Cyprus Film Summit held at Nicosia, the Capital of the country to have better relations with he film makers of the World and declaring Cyprus as film location.

More than 100 film makers from all over the World gathered here to participate in first Cyprus Film Summit at Filoxenia Conference Centre at Nicosia to find out more about new Cyprus Film Scheme, to visit ideal pristine filming locations and network with local companies and professionals.

“ I am excited to here from India and it seems that Cyprus is a studio in its self with so many beautiful locations all over the country. This I mu second visit and I am happy to deal with the professionals who all are well equipped the knowledge and equipment and related facilities,” said Sandeep Marwah who is also the chair for ICFCF- Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum and President ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Sandeep Marwah Invited by Indian High Commission in Cyprus

Nicosia: H.E. Dr. R.K. Raghavan High Commissioner of Republic of India to Cyprus invited Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios on his visit to Nicosia in Cyprus during First Cyprus Film Summit.

Sandeep Marwah briefed His Excellency about the activities of Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum created in India four years back for which he has been the Chair. “I am pleased to inform that Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum has done a lot in building a wonderful relation between two countries. We have been promoting our relations through education, film festivals, scholarship, music, dance and painting exhibitions and so on,” said Marwah.

“I am pleased to learn that so much has been added to the pool of culture. We are good friends with Cyprus and more is needed to create better awareness about our friendship,” said H.E. R.K.Raghavan in appreciating the activities of the forum. Later Marwah presented his books to the High Commissioner in a formal way.

Sandeep Marwah Unfurled The Flag of Indian Cinema at Cyprus

Nicosia: More than 100 filmmakers from all over the World attended the first Cyprus Film Summit at Filoxenia Conference Centre at Nicosia along with many local filmmakers and professionals.

“It was an excellent time to brief the international audience about the existence of Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum and its activities in India and Cyprus. I am sure it will induce many to start such type of organizations back home and start thinking of Cyprus as an excellent film location for their forth coming films and TV productions,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum.

Sandeep Marwah also informed the audience about India as the largest film industry of the World also supported by a very strong media setup of the Republic of India.

Marwah invited filmmakers to India and be a member of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry. He informed about the 162 scholarships announced by AAFT-Asian Academy of Film And Television and 162 Joint Ventures announced by Marwah Studios for making of short films.

“We are trying our best to bring some known film makers to Cyprus from India to have their shooting of main Hindi Cinema,” added Marwah.

Nicosia: A welcome dinner was organized by the Government of Cyprus in honor of foreign delegates from different parts of the World to attend the first Cyprus Cinema Summit at Nicosia.

“We are gathered here to bring in new energy to Cyprus Film Industry. Your cooperation and support will help us to provide you the natural film studios of Cyprus. We wish you a very comfortable stay and a flourishing film business in Cyprus,” said Constantinos Yiorkadjis the Mayor of Nicosia welcoming the film makers.

“We are here to serve you to our best. We want you to go back home with best of the experience so that you are again here with us for film business,” said Lefteris Eleftheriou Head of filming unit at Investment Cyprus and Chairman Plan Assessment Committee.

“We are overwhelmed by the hospitality and service given by the department and wish that Cyprus Film Summit a very successful beginning in cinema,” said Sandeep Marwah a special guest and Chair Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum.

A delegation from Switzerland at AAFT

Noida: A two member delegation representing the popular colleges of Geneva Switzerland were here at Noida Film City to meet and greet the faculty of Asian Academy of Film And Television to have better relation between two institutions.

“We are keen in joining hands with AAFT and would love to have an exchange program. We are impressed by the quality of education and the infrastructure of training,” said Markus Luedin Principal of Kantonsschule Menzingen Switzerland accompanied with Christol Konig Beatty From Department of Physics and Maths.

“We have deep interest that our student must fly to Switzerland for better exposure and let them see the most beautiful part of the world,” said Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT.

Later Amit Kumar Dean AAFT School of Performing Arts explained them about the courses and the activities of the institution.

Japanese Film Director Norihiro Koizumi at AAFT

Noida: A renowned Japanese Film Maker Norihiro Koizumi screened his popular film Chihayafuru Musubi at AAFT School of Cinema, which was highly appreciated by the audience. The two-hour film has been the biggest grocer in Japan.

“We appreciate the gesture extended by Japan Foundaton for making us the part of on going Japanese Film Festival in Delhi and arranging the interaction of Cinema students with renowned film director Norihiro Koizumi. It was eye opener for all of us,” said Sandeep Marwah welcoming and introducing Japanese delegation to the students and teachers of Asian Education Group.

“We are lucky to see this film, we would have missed it if it would not have been screened at our campus. We students are much thankful to the cinema department,” said many students after the screening of the film.

“In japan we may not churn- out so many films as India do, but our films have now doing very well internationally. We are promoting our films through film festivals,” said Kaoru Miyamoto Director General of The Japan Foundation.

Norihiro Koizumi answered many questuons put up by students to know film details and the story and screen play methods. The director was accompanied by Masafumi Konomi Senior Project Manager Film and Broadcast Media Department.

Sandeep Marwah Released The Book Written by Gagandeep Kaur

New Delhi: A book containing the success story of 25 women titled Big Dreams Bigger Achievements-Inspiring Women written by Dr. Gagandeep Kaur was released by Dr. Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios at Indian Islamic Centre organized by a social organization Weaving Dreams.

“It is no less than a spiritual job when you go out of way to promote people who have done well but still not known to the World. This is what this book has done to few achievers. I appreciate the efforts of Dr. Gagandeep Kaur and congratulate all the women on the release of the book,” said Sandeep Marwah while releasing the book.

K.T.S. Tulsi Member Parliament Rajya Sabha also spoke on the Women Empowerment and congratulated every one on this successful releasing of book.

Sandeep Marwah As Guest of Honor at Sanskar Bharti Event

New Delhi; Sanskar Bharti a social and cultural organization in Delhi celebrated 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with great pomp and show at Gandhi Samriti. Large numbers of dignities were present from all over India.

Anupam Bhatnagar said that the purpose of this function is to pay homage to our Father of The Nation and once again apply our mind to Gandhi’s policies which are so well popular even now valid for the current society.

The event was on 4th to 6th October at Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat and consisting of Bharatnatyam, Kuchipuri, Odishi, Manipuri, Kathakali, Kathak etc. all the eight forms of dance along with traditional and songs by the groups from Haryana and Rajasthan. Sushms Swaraj the Union Minister for External Affairs was the Chief Guest of the show.

Sandeep Marwah An Art Promoter Invited by Mukhtar Naqvi

The Ministry of Minority Affairs organized a ‘Mushaira’ based on Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings and principles here Saturday. The event, which commemorated the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, was held at Dr Ambedkar International Centre.

The mushaira witnessed eminent Urdu poets including the likes of Wasim Barelvi, Haseeb Soz, Aizaz Popular Marethi and Surendra Singh Shajar, among others who enthralled the audience and spread message of peace, humanity and unity through their poetic verses.

“While on one hand these programmes will spread the message and principles of Mahatma Gandhi, on the other hand they will also strengthen social harmony and brotherhood in the society,” Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, who inaugurated the event, said.

Eminent people from the field of politics, arts were in attendance to hear the performing poets. ”We have been repeatedly telling that the whole world can be brought together through art and culture. love, peace and unity through art and culture is our motto,” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios as a special guest at the event.

Uzbekistan Media Delegation Visited Marwah Studios

Noida: Three-member media delegation from Uzbekistan visited Marwah Studios on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of Late Lal Bahadur Shastri the former Prime Minister of India to promote and develop relation between two countries.

The delegation was representing the National Television Uzbekistan, which is the most popular station in the country. Not only that they covered the grand function of celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi but also participated in the same.

In a small interview Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios narrated his visit to Uzbekistan and also what all have been done under the banner of Indo Uzbekistan Film And Cultural Forum.

“This is a very fruitful trip to India as we covered the events, Marwah studios, Sandeep Marwah, Lal Bahadur Shastri and Mahatma Gandhi Birth Anniversary and learned a lot about the activities of Marwah Studios,” said Zarrin Abdukhlik-Zade who was accompanied with senior journalist Sayora Adilkhanova and a cameraman Mahkam Odilov.
