Workshop by Music Director Andrew Fryer at AAFT

Noida: The AAFT School of Cinema organized a film & music workshop for all those students who are keen in learning music for Cinema and its technics. An international star Andrew Fryer Dean of the School of Film, Music and Performing Arts at Leeds Beckett University took the workshop.

 “Andrew Fryer is a songwriter and music producer with 20 years of experience in the music industry, working for Warner Chappell Music, Polydor Records, BBC TV and Radio, film production companies, numerous independent record labels, as well as building and running his own recording studios,” introduced Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT.

 Andrew has engineered and produced over 5,000 songs, working with artists across all musical genres, including Chaka Kahn, Jeff Beck, Billy Bragg, The James Brown Band, David Heneker, Blak Twang, David Arnold, John Hegley, Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), The Stupids and John Shuttleworth. As a songwriter, he has sold millions of copies of his music and won awards in the USA for his ‘Legends of the Celts’ album by Ceredwen.

 Film projects Andrew has worked on include The Full Monty, Love Actually and The First Film (the story of the first cinematographer, the Leeds-based Louis Le Prince). He lectures internationally on aspects of Film, Music and Performing Arts. As a descendent of the Shakespearian actor, Edward Juby, he performed with the Romanian National Theatre at the Sibiu International Festival of Theatre in June 2016 and 2017, and at the Edinburgh Festival in August 2017 with Richard Demarco.

 “What a great pleasure to be in India and teaching Indian students at AAFT. I found students at AAFT very intelligent and enthusiastic to learn,” said Andrew who  is also  a Board member of Phoenix Dance Theatre, the Leeds Dance Partnership, the Yorkshire Screen Hub and a founder member of UK Music Academic Partnership.

Sandeep Marwah Extended Gratitude to Senior Film Makers

Mumbai: “I am thankful to each and every one who has contributed to the growth of Asian Academy of Film And Television in these last twenty five years of its existence,” said Sandeep Marwah founder, Promoter and President of AAFT during his trip to Mumbai.

“1993 We shot Bandit Queen Phoolan Devi for almost four months at Marwah Studios. That was another full length feature film shot at Noida, The film became internationally successful. We learned a lot from Shekhar Kapur, the Director of the Film,” said Sandeep Marwah thanking Shekhar for trusting him even at that time.

Marwah also extend his gratitude to Satish Kaushik for his continuous support by shooting films at Marwah Studios be it Badhai o Badhai, Prem, Khushi or his contribution towards film education by taking workshops with different batches of AAFT.

“I know Javed Sahib since 1982 and his consent as Member of the Academic Council has given us the opportunity to have screening of all the films he has written so far including Deewar, Sholay, Trishul, Mr India, etc.

AAFT has already started celebrating this year as Silver Jubilee Year. Large number of events has been planned through out the year.

99th Batch AAFT Inaugurated at Marwah Studios

Noida: The most popular film and Television training centre of the country of India – Asian Academy of Film And Television inaugurated its 99thBatch at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

“We are one batch away from the Century, the excitement level has gone much higher. Many new ideas are prevailing in mind and heart. We have proved to the World that we are the best. Running 99 batches have given us a research content for 99 times. We have learned what is good what is not required. The success of our students is the clear proof,” said Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT as a opening statement of inaugural program.

“AAFT has brought the name of India to the highest level in film and television training. We are proud of Sandeep Marwah. Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award to Sandeep Marwah is the indication of quality in education,” said Dr. Yogendra Narain former Secretary Rajya Sabha, Government of India while lighting the ceremonial lamp.

“The growth of AAFT from single college to University is the measurement stick for the opinion makers to assess the quantity and quality of the success,” added Syed Shahid Mehdi the former Vice President of ICCR, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

More than 500 awards, chairing 100 organizations, 33 years in media, 25 years in training, It is hard to get a mentor like Marwah in film and television training. Students cannot imagine how expensive education is being delivered at no price. Indeed AAFT is the best and number one film school in the World,” said J.P. Singh Director India Skills Development Council.

Rajesh Bajaj Alumnus and writer director of feature film Hari Puttar, Seerat Raj Narindra renowned designer and Lotty Alaric presenter and actor Lok Sabha TV also spoke to the young students. The guests were amazed to see the facilities available at the campus. The 99th batch of short term courses has also added some new courses.

Indo Nigerian Film Association Moves Further Under ICMEI

Noida: INFA- Indo Nigerian Film Association is one of the first organizations created by Marwah Studios in international relation chapters. Ample has been done since that time. It has given opportunity to Sandeep Marwah to visit Nigeria two times as a state guest and visited Lagos, Abuja, Jos and Kano state.

A brief report was submit to H.E. Major General Chris Sunday Eze High Commissioner of Nigeria to India on his visit to the International Head Quarters of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry at Noida Film City.

“We have trained more than 100 Nigerian in Cinema at AAFT from last 20 years coming from different parts of the Nigeria. The love and affection of my students has given me a title of ‘Father of Nigerian Cinema’. I am more than happy that Nigeria now has become the second biggest film producing country in the World,” expressed Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT and Indo Nigerian Film Association.

History was once again created on the eighth October, 2002 when Mr. GD Akpan, minister counsellor in high commission of Nigeria, formally announced the formation of Indo Nigerian Film Association and appointed Director of Asian Academy of Film & TV as its chairperson. Dr. H. Ekwuazi, Managing Director of Nigeria Film Development Corporation cum Chairperson of National Film Institute of Nigeria his deputy Mr. T. Benibo and Mrs. R. Odey, Executive Director National Film Video Censor Board of Nigeria were designated as the founder members of the association.

The delegates from Nigeria who attended the film courses under United Nation Program included Ishaq sidi ishaq, Mustapha Mustapha, JAMILU Ahmad Yakasai, Bashir Abdullahi rijau, Aminu Muhammad SABO, Bala Anas Babinlata, Salisu balarabe tuku, Usman Adam Yusif, HAUWA Maina, Aliyu Shehu Yakasai, Falalu A Doray, Ibrahim Mandawari, Muhammad Ali Nuhu, Hamisu Lamido Iyantama, Sani labaran Umar (UMAR GOMBE), Faika RAHI, Abdullahi Sani Abdullahi, Mikail bn Hassan and Muhammad Adamu Bifa strengthen the relations.

Later Sandeep Marwah Presented the Patron ship of Indo Nigerian Film Association to H.E. Major General Chris Sunday Eze. High Commissioner also presented the memento to Sandeep Marwah for his untiring contribution to Indo Nigerian Relations.

Sandeep Marwah Honored for His Services to Indo Nigerian Relations

Noida: More than 100 dedicated students who have been trained by Marwah under Asian Academy of Film And Television for different courses in last 20 years from different parts of Nigeria has brought the film industry of Nigeria to a new status. It has become the second biggest industry in the World after India.

Sandeep Marwah has been named as the “father of Nigerian New Cinema”. The formation of Indo Nigerian Film Association and two times state visit of Marwah to Nigeria then visit of more than 80 most important delegates from Nigeria to India during these years has added a lot to Indo Nigerian Relations through art and culture.

“Sandeep Marwah deserves all the awards possible from Nigeria for bringing two countries together. His contribution has gone into the books of art and culture history. I congratulate him and pray him to continue this designation of President of Indo Nigerian Film Association to move further,” said Major General Chris Sunday Eze High Commissioner of Nigeria to India while presenting the memento to Marwah.

“My position has gone up on receiving the blessings from High Commissioner. I am now much more encouraged to do something different again. I thank H.E. Eze for trusting me to his best,” said Sandeep Marwah on receiving the award.

H.E. Major General Chris Sunday Eze Patron to Indo Nigerian Film Association

Noida: One of the oldest organization, INFA- Indo Nigerian Film Association, to promote and develop the relation between India and Nigeria has been running under International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry with its International head Quarters at Noida Film City.

The President Sandeep Marwah, who has been associated with the organization from the day of its inception, has honored H.E. Major General Chris Sunday Eze High Commissioner of Nigeria to India with the Patron ship of the organization.

“It is a great honor to have with us H.E. Maj General Chris Sunday Eze the High Commissioner of Nigeria to India on the board as the Patron of the organization. I am sure we will be able to look much ahead under his leadership,” said Sandeep Marwah President of the association.

“So well has been done and I am sure much more will be done under the leadership of Marwah. We need leaders like Marwah to run the show,” said H.E. Eze while accepting the Patron Ship.

The event was attended by many Nigerian professionals and students associated with films, art and culture. Later High Commissioner presented the certificates of membership to new members also.

Zingmund Bertok Patron to Indo Slovakia Cultural Forum

New Delhi: Recently the Embassy of Slovakia at New Delhi and International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry formed an association under the name and banner of Indo Slovakia Film And Cultural Forum.

The organization was launched at the Embassy premises. This is first of its kind where film, television, media, art and culture, fashion, tourism, skill development and related business will be promoted to bring in two countries close to each other.

Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI requested the Ambassador of Slovakia to India H.E. Zigmund Bertok to be the first Patron of the organization.

“The association will grow much faster under the leadership of H.E. Zigmund Bertok a capable and dynamic administrator who believes in cultural diplomacy,” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and ICMEI.

“I will cooperate to my best to fulfill the needs and requirements of the forum and to meet the aims and objectives of the forum,” said H.E. Zigmund Bertok while accepting the memento.

Zuzana Mezencevova Cosul, Ashok Tyagi Secretary General ICMEI and Rajiv Mathur Director ICMEI were also present there. Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to India, Zigmund Bertok, a Doctor of Law, is a professional diplomat. Before coming to India in December 2013, he served his country in Beijing, Cairo and Helsinki and at home in various capacities.

Sandeep Marwah Honored And Nominated Chair for Slovakia Forum

New Delhi: The Ambassador of Slovakia H.E. Zigmund Bertok today honored and nominated Sandeep Marwah as the Chair of newly constituted association under the name and banner of Indo Slovakia Film And Cultural Forum at the Embassy of Slovakia.

“The association is formed to develop and promote relation between two countries India and Slovakia through arts and culture. International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry is the right platform to have an association like this. Sandeep Marwah will fill in the enthusiasm to the show,” said H.E. Zigmund Bertok while handing over the certificate of appointment to Sandeep Marwah.

“What a pleasure, what a honor to be part of such a beautiful country and lovable people. I am delighted with the honor and it has added more responsibility on my shoulders. Soon we will start our programs,” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and ICMEI.

Sandeep Marwah is the founder of Noida Film City. He is also the founder of Marwah Studios and Asian Academy of Film And Television. There are many film, television and media records to his credit. Indo Slovakia Cultural Forum Formed

New Delhi: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment proposed Embassy of Slovakia to create and launch Indo Slovakia Film And Cultural Forum in India to promote and develop relation between two countries through art and culture.

Today the representative of the President of Slovak Republic H.E Zigmund Bertok Ambassador of Slovakia to India, Burma, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh launched Indo Slovakia Film And Cultural Forum with great pomp and show in the premises of Embassy of Slovakia.

“We have realized that the best relation you can develop with any country is through arts and culture especially cinema which plays a very important role. This forum will help us to move fast and extensively,” said Sandeep Marwah president of Marwah Studios.

India and Slovakia has very strong ties from last 25 years and soon we will be celebrating our 25 years of diplomatic relations with India. Forum is                   launched at the right time,” said H.E. Zigmund Bertok Ambassador of Slovakia to India.

“We want to promote our relations through culture and many events can be planned together to create awareness of our strong ties with India,” added .Zuzana Mezencevova Cosul Slovak Embassy.

The Ambassador nominated Sandeep Marwah, a well known film, television personality and President of ICMEI as the Chairperson of ISFCF. Later Sandeep Marwah asked His Excellency to be the Patron of the organization.

Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI and Rajiv Mathur Director of ICMEI also attended the launching of the forum. Teams of Radio Noida and MSTV were also present on the occasion.

ICMEI will soon sign MOU with the Embassy for further program including, students exchange program, institution tie-ups, film festivals, entertainment evenings, scholarship and others.
