Writing Workshop by Jolein Laarman from Netherlands at AAFT

Noida: A powerful workshop on writing by a well-known writer, art director & producer from Netherlands Jolein Laarman was conducted for the students of Asian Academy of Film and television at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida to support the current syllabus on Writing for Cinema.

“Writing is the best way to express your own self. When you write you share your lifetime experiences with many other people who are nor fortunate enough to have all those kind of experiences during their lifetime. It is the best way to entertain yourself. To write well you must read a lot,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios initiating the subject.

“People who are part of films, television, and media, must get into the habit of writing. The faintest ink is more powerful than strongest memory. The instances, happenings, your observations can get you write better book, script, and screenplay. You can master in writing only when you start writing,” said award winning writer Jolein Laarman known for her projects like Kauwboy, Do Not Hesitate, Katia’s Sister and many more.

The workshop was followed by a question answer session by the students of cinema and writing department.  Dr, Sandeep Marwah presented the life membership of Asian Academy of Film and Television to Jolein Laarman and the Wicher J Slater First Secretary from the Embassy of Netherlands who was also part of the program. Later dignities released the first poster of 15th Global Film Festival Noida 2022 scheduled for 8th to 10th December this year.

114th Convocation of Asian Academy of Film and Television at Marwah Studios

Noida: “Time has come when you must leave the shadow of this huge tree of AAFT and proved to the world your capacities and capabilities you have attained. Your real test starts now when you must put your education and training into use. AAFT has left no stone unturned to give you the best all this time,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT at the 114th Convocation of trainees at Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

“High ambition will lead to higher success. Be self-motivated as motivation is not available at any store. Develop a very strong conviction in your work and create a powerful determination to face the unforeseen circumstances during your professional career. We may live in an age of instant messaging, instant gratification and Instagram, but there is no way to short circuit the path to success, ” added Dr. Marwah congratulating all the passing out students from different streams of education.

Present on the occasion Dr Sergei Dvoryanov from Moscow, Russia advised students to believe in the culture of the country of India which is strong enough to make you a better human being and then better profession as it is also the mission statement of AAFT. Your education is a dress rehearsal for a life that is yours to lead.

Sandeep Marwah Inaugurated INDOGMA Film Festival

Faridabad: “Films are the best ambassadors of culture of any country and film festivals are the most powerful platforms to showcase these films. I feel very energetic whenever I get an opportunity to be part of any film festival. They are the real podiums of film networking,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts congratulating the management on the inauguration of INDOGMA Film Festival at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, Faridabad.

“Indian Film Industry is the biggest film Industry in the World. We make around 2000 films in 28 languages in a year. 5 billion tickets we have been selling during the year We have ten thousand theatres. Approximately ten million people are working in this media and entertainment industry and this industry is supporting another ten million people from different industry. During recent years more than hundred OTT Channels have been part of this business,” informed Sandeep Marwah also President International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry.

Prof. S.K. Tomar Vice Chancellor of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology was the guest of honor.  Dr. Pawan Singh Department of Communication & Media Technology designed the program. Later Dr Marwah was honored for his contribution to films & television industry. He was also invited by the media department to look around the facilities of the university.

National Press Day Celebrated at AAFT School of Journalism

Noida: AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication in association with ICMEI-International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry celebrated National Press Day at Marwah Studios which falls on 16th November every year.

The day is celebrated to commemorate a free and responsible press. It was on this day that the Press Council of India started functioning as a moral watchdog to ensure that the press maintains high standards and is not fettered by any influence or threats.

“Let us celebrate the occasion of National Press Day by thanking all the press professionals for doing their job and serving us with the latest happenings around the world. If there is not a responsible and dutiful press in a nation, the nation cannot progress and prosper,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI  wishing all the faculties and students of AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication a very Happy National Press Day.

A poster was launched by Sandeep Marwah on this occasion and everyone expressed their views on free press in a simple function at Noida Film City.

Children’s Day Celebrated at AAFT

Noida: Children’s Day is celebrated across India to raise awareness about the rights, education, and welfare of children. It is celebrated on 14 November every year on the birthday of the First Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was known to have been fond of children. On this day,  an educational and motivational program for children was held at AAFT.

“Every child is special and unique. The most precious thing in this world is the smile on the face of a child. Every child should grow with love and care,” said Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts while releasing the poster of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on 14th November the birth anniversary of first Prime Minister of India at Marwah Studio, Noida Film City.

“Never let the kid in yourself die and make sure to take care of it whenever needed. Your kinder heart would make everything better. Many happy wishes for Children’s Day, ”added Rochika Agarwal fashion designer and Member of Central Board of Film Certification.

ICMEI Announced Irish Film Festival of India on 30th November

New Delhi: Indo Ireland Film and Cultural Forum in association with Embassy of Ireland in India along with Siraj Zaidi planned a festival of films from Ireland to be conducted on 30th November and 1st December 2022 at Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

“We are very excited with the first ever festival of films from Ireland at Marwah Studios. We have already requested H.E. Brendan Ward Ambassador of Ireland to India to inaugurate the festival and bless us. Few important dignities are also joining from Ireland including our associate Siraj Zaidi” said Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry.

“I have been conducting Festival of Films from India in Ireland, this is the first chance I will get associated with Irish Film Festival in New Delhi -NCR, India. I am sure this festival will bring new awareness among the Indians about Indo Ireland relations,” added Siraj Zaidi CEO and founder IFFI-Indian Film Festival of Ireland.

Asian Academy of Arts Promoted Performing Arts

Noida: A colorful extravaganza was created by Asian Academy of Arts in association with Foundation for Krishna Kala and Education Society to provide an opportunity to young talent to showcase their arts in Dance Drama and Music at Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

“Great dancers are not great because of their technique; they are great because of their passion. Actors are agents of change. A film, a piece of theatre, a piece of music or a book can make a difference. It can change the world. For an artist, screams of adoration and praise is the reward for spilling your guts on the stage,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Academy of Arts motivating students of different streams.

Large number of students from different school and colleges participated and exhibit dance and musical performances which were worth praising. A competition brought best out of them. Many students were awarded with mementos and cash prizes by the sponsors including students from AAFT School of Performing Arts & AAFT School of Cinema. The event was covered by Radio Noida and MSTV of Marwah Studios.

Sandeep Marwah Admired for His Contribution to MSME

New Delhi: The contribution of Sandeep Marwah is admired by one and all. His forty four years of involvement in films, television, media and promotion of art and culture needs no introduction. He is a living legend. He is the star in his own image. He is an institution himself,” said Harish Chandra Co-founder of Star International MSME Forum while presenting the Leadership award to Sandeep Marwah at Noida Film City.

Sandeep Marwah is the founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios, Asian Academy of Film and Television, founder Chancellor of AAFT University and chairing hundred film, TV, Media, Art, Culture and Social organizations.

“In a developing country like India, MSME industries are the backbone of the economy. When these industries grow, the economy of the country grows as a whole and flourishes. Most of the business of Indian Media and Entertainment Industry comes under this category. M&E Industry is growing at the rate of 12 percent and adding to the total GDP of the country,” said Sandeep Marwah thanking    the MSME forum to honour him with this prestigious award.

Sandeep Marwah Inaugurated Exhibition of Paintings and Sculptures

New Delhi: Art is something that makes you breathe with a different kind of happiness. Painting from nature is not copying the object; it is realizing one’s sensations. Colour is a deep and mysterious language. It is the language of dreams. Colour provokes a psychic vibration. Colour hides a power still unknown but real, which acts on every part of the human body,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios at the inauguration of exhibition of Paintings and Sculptures under the title “November Nuances” at Hotel Sheraton Saket.

“I have always believed that artists are peace makers. You can bring love peace and unity through art and culture.” added Sandeep Marwah while appreciating  the work of arts by all women artists.

This art event organised by award winning art curator Vikram Sethi comprised of nine artists from different parts of the country and abroad including Rupali Jhaveri from Mumbai, Reetu  Chopra from Gurugram, Pratima Bisen, Monika Sharma, Kanchen Shekhawat, Anita Trehan from Delhi, Dr.Vandana Kaushal from Ludhiana, Soraia Garcia from Spain and Artworks of a private collector Sapna Gupta  again from Delhi.

ICMEI Will Promote Tourism of Azerbaijan

New Delhi: A well planned conference was conducted at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in New Delhi where H.E. Ashraf Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India proposed and offer to Indian organizations to have association and affiliation with different establishments of Azerbaijan.

International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry through its body Indo Azerbaijan film and Cultural Forum is ready to join hands with film, TV, and media companies of Azerbaijan along with educational institutions to promote relation between two countries.

ICMEI and IAFCF will also promote Azerbaijan’s locations to Indian Film Makers and promote tourism with the local people through travel fraternity.

“We are planning to have a road show in association with Embassy of Azerbaijan where people from Travel and Tourism Fraternity will interact with Embassy of Azerbaijan. Some attractive films will be shown to cover the country’s best locations,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

“We will look for a common date to promote tourism jointly. I am very familiar with the dynamism of ICMEI Team,” said H.E. Ashraf Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India.
